Gestalt
Another off the wall census. 45 wpm if I don't necessarily know what i'm saying. 50-60 wpm if the words are in front of me. 70 wpm at rush, rush mode. At the sacrifice of accuracy.
Icy
Using this site: http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php I was 93wpm. I went on a spree of taking all kinds of various typing tests early last year and they all agreed it was at least 80 wpm. That's, of course, when I know what I'm typing. Typing this post, I was probably more like 60wpm.
Xortberg
Using Icy's test, I got 43 WPM, but I also type much more slowly when I'm trying to copy something down on screen rather than just trying to type what I mean to say myself, since I'm bad at reading and typing at the same time. On my average big, wall-of-text rant when I'm typing at my fastest, I'd guess I can hit top speeds aroung 70 or so WPM. Not bad considering that, while I don't two-finger type, I also don't use the standard homekeys approach. I just use all my fingers in whatever way is most convenient, without having any specific place for them to return to and orient myself from. I probably should learn to type normally, but meh. Also, as another note that sometimes affects my speed, if I actively think about the fact that I'm trying to type without looking at the keyboard, I make all sorts of mistakes and end up having to look at the keyboard anyway. The only time I can type without looking is if I'm not thinking about it at all. Anyone else like that?
Drasiana
90 with Icy's test, though I'm still not used to this keyboard (slightly too big for my hands) and I can usually go faster. This is basically my standard method typing though, I actually get faster when I zone out. Never stuck to home row typing methods though, my fingers just kind of do whatever. Buggers have minds of their own. Faisul can also attest to the fact that I'm one of those people with the uncanny ability to carry on a completely separate, normal conversation while my hands type out something completely different at top speed. edit: it's past midnight and I forgot how grammar works
unoservix
bamf averaged somewhere north of 100 wpm
Cage Blackpaw
I got 105 with Icy's test, though I made a mistake. I wrote "Repitition" instead of "Repetition," because I was typing it how I heard it in my head.
Icy
Don't take that test I posted as the go-to WPM test. All kinds exist and they're all a bit different, unfortunately. But it's cool to see such fast typists here at SFO.
conaly
Hi,it depends in what I write. I did two test, one in English (the one posted above) and a German one. And I'm much faster with German words (around 90-100 wpm), than English (70+/- wpm) as I'm much more used to my native typing.
jeth
I'm a rather slow typer, Icy's test gave me 41 WPM. I'm a bit faster than that when I'm not copying something, but not much. I'd say about 50 WPM, 60 at most.
Ori
Icy's test tells me I write 58wpm. However 8 errors due to bad spacebar that detects badly.
Arashikage
I found a WPM test that let me type whatever I want with standard spell check. It gave me automatic updates on my WPM and the max I hit was 110, but my average was about 95 when I wrote things that I was thinking. I can't transcribe text quickly at all because it involves reading as fast as I write, which, oddly enough, I can't.
The Shaper
I usually get about 60 - 70 words per minute when I type. Right now I am sort of tired so it's probably lower than that, but I'm not that fast in comparison to some of you chaps it would seem.

Dr. Orange
When I want to, I can go about 100 wpm but recently I've been noticing my eye sight has been going and an accurate test when every once and awhile I miss capitalize an "a" or an accidental space really brings my time down. 50+ wpm is my guess with those obstructions. Thu'um
Typing? Nah, just spelling.what do you think that's a result of? Half the things I misspell I know the proper spelling for. It's true I suck at spelling but typing is the real problem.
Gestalt
I generally exhibit resounding suckitude at typing what I what to say with any speed. In this regard, I am a tryhard. Its usually an extremely unhealthy methodical process. This post is very methodical and overly planned. I've been in this thread for hours. Oh yay, 800 posts. *squee~~
LoneWolf
Got about 59 but I kept backspacing to fix my errors. Ehuehehe. Given a choice between speed and spelling I usually take spelling. However somethimse is late and i jsut dont; care
Hidi
In a school I went to, we learned the fine art of touch-typing in our IT classes. We used this site specifically for testing: http://www.typingtest.com/ otherwise, we had handouts. In one of the last tests I did, I got just under 60WPM, though I consistently stay in the 45-55 range.
Steve
I vary between 60-110 depending on whether I'm copying something or writing from my own thoughts.

CrypticQuery
According to the test posted by Hidi I came in at around 90-102 WPM.
Redeemer
According to Icy's test, I got 69wpm. I made 3 errors though, because I couldn't be assed copying exact words. I write much faster when I'm musing to myself.
Sarita
I type faster than anyone I went to school with. STORY TIME! In Middle School, we had to take a computer class, and one of the very last things we did was typing (mainly copying from a piece of paper in to Notepad.) We had three pages to start with, I finished all three pages and had more than half the class left, so the teacher had to find other things for me to type. When I finished those, he was just like "just go do whatever, I don't have anything else." I test on typing tests anywhere from 60-80wpm, though. Steve used to think I typed faster than him, apparently, I don't!
