Super Smash Bros. Brawl- Are Falco, Fox and Wolf clones?

It has been debated by many people on the internet that the moves for Falco, Fox, and Wolf are the exact same. If someone can actually check to see if their programs are the same, it could finally put this mystery to rest. Any info for this is accepted.

No, they aren't the exact same. They're highly similar, but each one performs in different ways, have different startup lagtimes, etc.

Fox and Falco I could see the clone argument applying to, since even their throws and smashes are similar, but Wolf plays completely differently to either of them.

There not exactly the same, Fox is a Speed Type, Falco is more balanced, and Wolf is a Power type. Wolf also has some different moves in his move set then Fox and Falco.

Fox v Falco difference is:

Fox has faster running speed/faster (B-button) blaster/ (down + B) Reflector Shield stays stationary. Fox's strongest mid-air A-button move is (Up + A) where he does a bicycle kick in the air to hit someone straight into the air.

Falco has higher jump height/ slower (B-button) blaster {however, it can stun opponents momentarily}/ (down + B) Reflector Shield is "kicked" in the direction Falco is facing, allowing you to use it as an alternative mid-range attack. Falco's strongest mid-air A-button move is (Down + A) where he spins vertically and kicks the opponent. This can be used to "spike" someone straight down who is trying to recover.

Wolf is completely different in almost every way. Only thing that is the same for him is the Final Smash. SW Landmaster....SAY WHAT?

-definately no,i played the game recently.

-fox is faster ,weaker, possibly too fast.works best in super sudden death, and is best used as a defensive character

-falco would be the mid range character in the group, has some of fox and wolf's strength and speed

-wolf-slower than them, runs too damn slow.playing with him is all about timing and location of attacks.

-i suggest playing with falco is the best of the three, however,i play best with wolf;a well placed meteor attack will kick everyone's ass

Of the three the only moves that are similar are Falco and Fox's recoveries [However duration and distance are different between the two as well as lag that someone has mentioned earlier] and down air. All the other moves are custom for each character. You could argue that Fox and Falco's throws are similar, but due to the different spread of their blaster fire, and the differences in knockback I wouldn't count those either.

And in the competative setting none of the characters play alike at all.

Source: I semi-regularly attend competative brawl tournaments.

Note: Final Smashes don't count because Nintendo was lazy.
