Drasiana
double-posting just in case a mod wants to purge everything beforehand any speculation for other Fairy Types and etc? It looks like we might be getting more Dragons too just to balance it out. The batdragon pokemon didn't really give me the impression of being rare or legendary

King of the Shrooms
You are absolutely right, for the most part. Ice Beam still isn't as bad as you seem to make it, especially on high Sp. Atk Pokemon, one or two hits is usually all it takes to take down say a Salamence or Dragonite. As a Dragonite user, I can attest to this personally. Not only that, but with Stealth Rocks and other moves, you can improve your chances of a OHKO Ice Beam considerably. Hydreigon and Lati@s are pretty resilient, and the standard counter is another Dragon type, but to say 9 times out of 10 is a bit much because I see more Ice type moves (or Dark type in the case with Lati@s) than 1 out of 10. Maybe 50/50 between Dragon usage and Ice usage. And yes, Blizzard is pretty bad, I was just mentioning it for example. Honestly Ice beam isn't a widely used coverage move simply cause it's distribution isn't as great as you think it is. ALOT of pokemon are forced to run HP ice if they want that coverage, and alot of the times I'd rather leave say, momoswine or cloyster to deal with those than wasting my precious moveslots. granted you won't use a dragon 9/10 times, but you'll almost never run ice beam simply because of redundant coverage/most pokemon don't have it. Except starmie, but it's also such a highballer. And never mention blizzard in my presence again unless the word Hail isn't too far behind. A Fairy type priority would make Azumarill better, however that's a big if. Also, nobody should be letting Gardevoir get a CM off, and even if it does it isn't that bulky and can be handled with many other Pokemon. Sylveon is probably the only Fairy type introduced so far that is a potential threat, but without knowledge of movesets or stats, it could be a Dragon Slayer or a drag queen. Yes, this is all speculation, But you weren't even looking at possibilities, only what is the now which is going to change DRASTICLY upon X&Y'S release. Also gardevoirs Special bulk is actually supberb at 115 base SpD will cover 68 HP pretty great actually, and after a boost that only gets better, so it can actually come in on a fair few special threats and scare them out *access to heal bell a big shout out to make blissy set up bait to the max*. With fairy type gardevoir can come in on even more threats and get that much needed boost to wipe the floor with the opposition. Salamence is lame, and my Dragonite works wonderfully well, thank you very much. I've swept and won plenty of matches with it. No, Salamence is offensively better than Dragonite, hence why I said the way you were using it was outclassed. I never said dragonite was bad, in fact, As a defencive pivot for offensive teams it can be an all star. it's not about if it Can pull a sweep or not, and if it does for you than dandy, but salamence still fits the mold of offensive dragon dancer better and that's the end of it. King of the Shrooms
5 chances to catch Houndour? YES PLEASE!, anyway X&Y makes me more excited as the days go by, and I REALLY hope the rumor of fairy being weak to steel and poisen is true, cause aggron and nidoking will make a glorious rise and everything will be K in my world. Vy'drach
Hopefully Dratini and Dragonair are able to learn Dive this time around. Dragonite is able to but his pre-evolutions that live in water are unable. Makes no sense. Plus that way I'd be able to have my surfing, waterfalling climbing, deep diving Dragonair and wouldn't need to evolve it into Dragonite, since I like Dragonair more. Maybe I should just stick to Sharpedo for my aquatic mobility pokemon.

Vy'drach
I know. Is sad. I mean, look at the thing: It's an adorable, aquatic, wing headed, jeweled rattlesnake that somehow can't dive.
Drasiana
I like Dragonair better too. I kinda wish Dratini/Dragonair and Dragonite were part of separate evolution chains. Dragonite looks like a goofy mascot outfit to me but Dragonair is so elegant and unique-looking.
DoctorAllosaurus
I never got the Dragonite thing either. How does something so beautiful and majestic turn into some dumpy looking dragon that isn't even the same color. I'm pretty sure any of us could probably design something better
Drasiana
I think the idea is that Dratini and Dragonair are sort of the "larval stage" of Dragonite but even the Pokemon that are literally larva do a better job of showing cohesion through design. I hope Gen VI introduces some better, cooler dragon-types in general. I like Noivern and they seem to be setting Fairy up as Dragon's antithesis so maybe that'll mean more of both. Still holding out on a scarecrow/jack-o-lantern Pokemon that's either ghost/grass or fire/grass-type vwv
Geo Stelar
It has crossed my mind that Dratini and Dragonair should have been Milotic's pre-evolved forms, but given the type and color, it wasn't a smart idea

Xortberg
The legendaries' types were also confirmed. Giant Y Bird is a Dark/Flying type, while the Deer God is a Fairy. That means, for absolutely certain, that there's at least gonna be one competitively viable Fairy type. Since mascot legendaries almost always have really high stats and a really strong signature move of their main type, we're gonna have one hell of a Dragon-buster. This pleases me.
