I feel bad about feeling some joy out of this...not that he's dead D: That's bad but the fact that I was right when I said he's gunna get killed by one of those creatures one of these days... now I feel bad again... SabreMc
The day after fathers-day too. I hope he was at least with his kids then...I feel sorry for Terri, she was in Tasmania when it happened. After so many Crocs, he was taken by a Stingray of all things. Reading that even after finding out brought tears to my eyes. 11am and only a few hours drive from me...He was a great man, and will be remembered well. R.I.P. Xion: I agree that he was taking a huge risk...but he did it for the good of animals and people alike.
TakeWalker
The day after fathers-day too. ...It wasn't Father's Day yesterday. I have a feeling I'll be reliving this post on every forum I go to today. A sad day, indeed.
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
WHAT!? This is horrible! I would have thought he have lived to tell his kids and maybe grandkids about his fun show. Man, I love his show. Animal planet is going to pay some sort of homage to him. I feel sorry for Terri and the kids. *bows her head*
EvolutionSFox
That's really bad, his shows were actually facinating to watch. He was taken to early, RIP.

Owner/Technical Admin Sideways Posted September 4, 2006 Owner/Technical Admin Share Posted September 4, 2006 It's not funny. It's one of those freak accidents that happens. Rest in peace, Steve Irwin.
Ludvig11
Then this could kinda be like Australia's "11th" september... although its global to.. ..RIP, Steve Irwin.
DZComposer
WTF is with people comparing this to 9/11? Don't get me wrong, I have tremendous respoct for what Steve Irwin has done and it is a tragedy that he is gone, but comparing the death of one man to the deaths of 3000 is rediculous, yet I have been hearing that comparison all day. It is a tragedy for the wildlife and people of Australia, but it is no 9/11. If 3000 people die in a single event, then you can make that comparison. Ludvig11
I wasn't serious... but it was indeed a big bad thing for austraila.. and a quite large bit of the rest of the world to.. just like what we said when a big politican died here.. but it -was- 11th... The Katrina-insident was a LARGE catastrophe aswell... its not all about 11th september.. and in countries like the arab-countries or so.. -lots- of people dieing is "just normal"... Inuyasha
I know this's probably horrible of me, but I'm not at all surprised. Though a STINGRAY is rather...random. Ah well. He'll be missed. -Inuyasha

Blaz3
I couldn't believe it when I heard it either, I was slightly surprised, but I could see it coming. He has been around such dangerous animals, it really was only a matter of time till he slipped up, even just slightly and boom. We will miss you Steve.
