Icy
This is too hard. I can't pick just ONE! But if I have to, well, then it almost has to be this one.
Geo Stelar
There's too many to choose from. But in sci-fi movies, I liked the duel of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar in Star Wars Ep. III
Snys93
If I've said it once I've said a thousand times, this scene alone had more emotion, suspense and overall connected on love and loss to the audience than the entire Prequel Trilogy. Those two words spoken at the right moment truly attest to a time when Star Wars was actually worth seeing in the theaters. Vy'drach
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRZNLNkxgIg This movie really didn't get enough credit. Yes, it was a 3D movie, and the CGI was rather cheesy (hell, a lot of it was cheesy, but no more than your standard 80's action movie), but Nicholas Cage makes it funny, and William Fichtner (the "Accountant") makes it great and hilarious.
WOLFjr
If I had to pick one moment or sequence of the top of my head at the moment, it would be the entire light saber battle between Anakin and Obiwan in Star Wars episode 3, with the Yoda vs Sidious fight mixed in. The Star Wars prequels messed up a lot of things, with episode 3 being my least favorite. But at least we got a kickass fight in the end. Another one that comes up is the destruction of VIKI at the end of I, Robot.
CrypticQuery
My favorite scene is the car chase sequence from The Seven-Ups (1973) that occurs about 1/3 of the way through the movie. Beautiful examples of 1960s/1970s automobiles whizzing by at breakneck speeds, not to mention Manhattan and the George Washington Bridge with surrounding highway from the 1970s.

CrypticQuery
The parody movie Top Secret (1984) had some fantastic action sequences, namely this bit of hilarity;
Vy'drach
Actually, going with the longest single take fight scene in movie history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79ditPebZ8g This was all one scene, one take, if anyone fucked up during it, it would all have to have been reset and they try again, assuming they could even reset the stage really. Robot Chicken went to make a spoof of it that was great, but of course being Robot Chicken it's violent and a tad bit raunchy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzzqE7EPoIc
