Microsoft found something prettier than a Gold Plated Desert Eagle to shoot themselves in the foot, and that, ladies and gentleman, is the Xbox One.

I can't even form words for how stupid the entire thing is, it seems like they're advertising to rich people, who already own smart TV's that do the whole "TV" part for you, if I buy a game console, I'm probably going to play a video game. I'm quite glad I built a PC, and if I was forced to go back to consoles, I'd enjoy watching hell freeze over as I bring the PS4 to the checkout stand, having defended the Xbox 360 against PS3 to the end this generation.

I hate the Xbox One. I didn't even have an internet connection at my house until mid 2011, and even now my internet connection is really bad. Won't even let me play Call of Duty online because of how bad it is.

Also, apparently they showed off mostly sports games and call of duty. I don't like sports, and I'm not particularly fond of games like Call of Duty. (Which is ironic, considering what I said above). More games like Star Fox, Sly Cooper, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, Solatorobo, Pokemon, things like that I want.

And the fee for used games thing is just awful. I like buying older games. I still buy Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Game Boy Advance games.

On the plus side, this may get developers to run back to the Wii U.

Seriously, I think that thing has potential.

If the problem is it having worse graphics, I don't care about the graphics. I think companies should stop focusing on the graphics. I feel like they make games take longer to make, and don't put the focus where it should be.

I don't see developers using the Wii U's full features, but honestly I want it to be a rather normal console. I want another Playstation 2 or Gamecube or Xbox 360 or Game Boy Advance SP. Things that don't have such silly gimicks like a touch screen or motion control.

I have at least one game on my Nintendo DS that doesn't even use the touch screen for anything other than just having another screen on the device to show more things. You can't use it for anything. Tapping the screen does nothing it seems. I feel like developers could just do that with the Wii U. Not even worry about using the Wii U's full functions. At the same time, using the functions could be fun also.

This also makes the PS4 look attractive, which honestly Sony needs. I heard that every time they sell a PS3 they lose money, and the PS Vita was a flop.

Oh well, maybe Microsoft will learn their lesson. Or die out in the gaming industry. Which would mean the only console exclusive games would be on consoles I like.

Also, someone said it looked like a VCR:

This may shatter your heart though on Banjo-Threeie:

That was actually quite disheartening to read.  Good that most of what was left of Rare moved on though; hopefully they've gone on to better things.

Cracked just ran a fun article on the matter; http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/5-features-new-xbox-that-are-about-to-ruin-everything/

And I found this GIF regarding Sony versus Nintendo in the next-gen.  It's worth a laugh regardless of whether or not you agree;

Now that's just sad. Microsoft isn't giving Rare the love it deserves. I wish Rare had stuck with making titles for Nintendo, back in the days when we'd get games like Donkey Kong 64 and Star Fox Adventures from them for the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube.

I do like Rare's game Kameo though. That turned out splendidly.

Sure wish 3D platformers were bigger nowadays. Thing is right; for the most part they've died out. Hopefully that new Sly Cooper game might help change things.

@crazyfooinc: Glad you approve. :D Lol at the Sony and Nintendo Jurassic Park thing.

Careful, that there's a 4chan post. 4chan posts should always be taken with salt.

Microsoft forgot to register the domain name for the Xbox one, and some guy in the UK did it instead with .com and .net just to troll them.

According to the Kotaku article below, the fellow that owns the domain name registered it two years ago;
