Aleks55
Who really knows for sure what their going to do next with star fox. Maybe they will look into remakes or something. They could also just ignore the whole effect of command. But I still vote on a sequal.
Four-eyed Vulpine
There's TONS of room for more games. I mean, look at all the gaps in the storyline. All the time before 64, eight years between 64 and Adventures, one year between Adventures and Assault, three years between Assault and Command, and all the time between Command and the endings. That's AT LEAST 12 years of uncharted territory to explore. Aleks55
I agree with you there are a lot of gaps and they can make games that have a different story. I mean look at all of the mario games almost none of them actually go with a solid storyline. Just a few of them.
Owner/Technical Admin Sideways Posted May 22, 2007 Owner/Technical Admin Share Posted May 22, 2007 o.o Sonic 2,3, and Knuckles all had 1 central plot: The Death Egg.
Four-eyed Vulpine
I mean look at all of the mario games almost none of them actually go with a solid storyline. Just a few of them. Well, the central plot around Mario games is Bowser or SOMEBODY kidnapping Princess Peach and the Mario Bros. saving her somehow, and nearly all the games variate around that. Star Fox, on the other hand, has a solid time line in place (with lots of gaps, however), so there's lots of ideas left to use, but you don't want to make a game in this series that appears to be disconnected from the time line completely. Aleks55
Point taken. But what i mean is that they could make a new starfox game just with a different storyline. But they could stay on the main plot.
Mr. Krystal
Dispite how much people complain about how much Andross never dies, I wouldn't mind seeing him again. Robotnik should have died how many times?! This is just the way video game stories are.
Aleks55
They should put General Scales back into the series. I mean just cause the Krazoa Spirit left his body dosen`t mean hes dead...or does it?
Four-eyed Vulpine
Who knows? The Star Fox series is just riddled with plotholes. People coming back in sequels when they supposedly "died" in the last game is monotonously common throughout video gaming, anyway. Sol-Ratcht Saporro
^ And in Movies, and TV Shows and Novels and Comic Books and..... Ahem, I think what will happen is that the Next-Gen SF game will pretty much be a remake of the SNES SF with borrowed elements of the Assault/Command games (Characters, stages). I don't think that its going to dwell into plotholes. (Like it should) SF: Wii would share the same relationship as The New Super Mario Brothers and the original Super Mario Brothers are compared. I would be surprised and quite happy if it took on a new perspective, for instance a prequel. *crosses her fingers*
Four-eyed Vulpine
It would probably be cool if the series entered some new territory for once. Final Fantasy XIII: Lylat. *shot and burned and shot some more*
Aleks55
There is one thing I think the next sequal should have...Bill . I wouldn`t mind if Bill isn`t in the next game, its just he was in only 2 levels in command and in no endings. Thats not fair to Bill.

Guest Pyre Vulpimorph
I don't get it. Why should SF: Command be the last game in the timeline? It's not fair! The Star Fox Team has a whole @#$%&! GALAXY to explore! Is Nintendo running out of material to reshuffle to produce new games!? Great. While plothole-filling prequels are nice and all, Fox MCloud should be saving the universe well into his fifties! No cane required!
Aleks55
They can`t end a series with only like 5 games. They could make several games with new storylines. Prequals or sequals. I mean look at all the mario games they are almost never sequals. But we will just have to wait and see what the next games will be.
Guest Chiro-Chan
THEY AREN'T ENDING THE FRICKING SERIES. *frantically spazzes, and waves her arms around* This is the end of a STORYLINE. This doesn't mean they're going to just end the series. They might restart from another point, or they might restart from the SNES Star Fox game, which never really even went anywhere. There are TONS of possiblities for the Star Fox series. THEY ARE NOT ENDING THE SERIES. Just this part of the storyline. If this doesn't get it through your head, then I may have to go dunk you in a vat of liquid nitrogen, and drop you off of Mount Everest. RAWR. Okay, rant over. Just calm down people, it's definately not over yet.
Mr. Krystal
I know it's been done once before, but can you imagine what it would be like if they decided to redo the original Star Fox AGAIN? If they did it right, it would be a force to rival the Metroid games, and you know how well that series has done after Metroid Prime came out. Aleks55
It wouldn`t be that bad if they made another remake. It would be kinda good actually.

Star Fox Runner
When they redid the Metroid series, they turned it into a first person shooter. This is just my idea, so you can criticize it if you want to, but if they keep the foot soldier missions, why not turn it into a first person shooter? But very few of it because Star Fox is a flying game, so if they did that idea, don't put too many in. Oh by the way, BRING BACK THE ON-RAILS FLYING!!!!!
Aleks55
They should make the teammates useful again. They should have on-foot missions, but not too many. And more on rail flying, but not too many.
PuffNStuff
Well, i think that they should keep the ground missions, they just need to revamp the controls and the way Fox or whoever moves. Keep it third person IMO. Look at Splinter Cell and Gears of War. Best thrid person's ever!! If they could make Fox's movements WAY more fluid and realistic then I think that people would embrace the ground missions. But then again, that would only happen if they decide to either A start a new Starfox with a new story. Or B start in the middle of SFC and create a canon ending and go from there.
