I think that when they said, "in the middle" they meant in the middle of the whole storyline...not just Command's.

Lol.... Well I'd say that if they WERE going to make another sf game to continue off the command story, the most likely one would be Kursed. Because if they do it right, she would be one badass evil person. I know she really isn't evil but if she was....... I'd bet she would be worse than Andross. On the road for revenge against Fox and Lylat for ousting her, and destroying her life. Oh that would kick so much ass.... I should write a fanfic about that.... WAIT! I already am!

Come now! This isn't the last Star Fox! Some of you guys are right. When Cuthbert said the next game would be set in the middle, he meant between the events of Star Fox Command. Judging by the reaction most of us have given Nintendo and Q-Games over the Star Fox Command storyline, this is how the next game might work things out; Fox apologizes to Krystal, they make up, and Krystal rejoins Star Fox  :(. That seems to be the most likely conclusion to Command's storyline since most endings had Fox and Krystal getting back together.  ;):friends: :friends: :friends: :friends: Awwww, how sweet.

NO! That ending itself ENDS starfox. Now what needs to happen is that life just keeps taking a proverbial shit on fox. And Krystal denies his apology and becomes kursed. We need to continue the storyline not end it with some sappy ending! This is about the life of a mercenary! How they kept it at E is beyond me but.... IMO i think they should boost the rating to keep up with the current demands of the gamers.

OK, there's a fine line between fanfics and games. You wanna make Fox a tragic hero in your fics, go on ahead. But wouldn't a series of games about Fox losing his emotional battle with Krystal/Kursed get kind of...well...boring? Also, what about Star Fox makes you think it should be higher than E? I personally think its roughly a T on the whole, but there was no way Command could be anything but E.

Okay... go live in your fantasy world where the fans of starfox today don't grow up tomorrow. I know that the starfox series has been doing well with e and t ratings but with command, well it was mainstream but where it counts is on the Wii. I hope they make it a little bit more... Mercenary like, It is NOT all pretty roses and fairytale endings and IMO that would make the storyline a lot more "juicier".

I never said that a defintive happy ending was the right thing. In fact, I really think the idea of Fox as a furry Hamlet is an intriguing one. I also did not say that I was happy about Star Fox being an "E" game. I just understand why it is and don't care either way. Nintendo has made billions and billions of dollars by marketing largely to kids and families; asking them to stop doing so would be asking them to stop making billions and billions of dollars, and no one wants to do that.

True. I do think that Star Fox would benefit from being racheted up to a constant T rating. Again, though I understand why Nintendo won't do that. I also think that if it went any further than T, the result would just be too to work.

*Ends Rant, hopefully for good*

I've always felt that Fox was a tragic hero. It was hinted in the pre-SFAd canon but never explored. The possibility is there.

What I would prefer to happen is that SFC gets labeled a non-canon side-story since the endings cause debate, like here, and if the series was continued, no matter what ending was chosen, the developer would take flak for it.

Also, what do ESRB ratings have to do with anything? They are parental guides, not markers of storyline.

Lol, yes good point, and I agree with you.

This is actually good news for me. :) I hope the next game will be a remake of Star Fox SNES/Star Fox 64, with the SFSNES & SF2 music and the debuts of Miyu & Fay giving the game a total of 4 allies (including Bill & Katt.) with all four of them appearing at the last two levels of the hard route. Sorry, but i really dislike Krystal, she is so overated and OMG she is ticking me off. They need to kill her off.

No offense, but this opinion is pretty naive. Not just that Nintendo would even consider a remake, but also the theory that said remake would save Star Fox/repair the hole in the ozone layer/lower gas prices/end genocide in Darfur etc. Its not gonna happen. Sorry.

You never know. The old Star Fox SNES storyline pretty much never went anywhere, so why not use that one, if the SF64-SFC storyline is dead. Alot of people would like to see Peppy flying an Arwing again. Look i just think there should be a remake of SFSNES & that's all i'm gonna say about this. *leaves thread*

Unfortunately, all good things must at some point come to an end. It is a very sad thing indeed, but life goes on. At least we will still have the games. Because it is not like a tv show that ends with he final season and then is taken off the air a year later. It is something that we will have forever.

on another note:

They should continue the story for at least one more game that starts off where ending 2 in Command left off: Fox and Krystal married (yes! :D) and having a son who grows up to start a new Starfox Team.  :friends:

Yeah, I guess Star Fox needs to start a completely new storyline, like maybe one along the lines of the Star Fox SNES story. Or they could continue the story a few years after one of the good endings in Star Fox Command, and have Andross revived as an even worse villain, knida like how Megatron became Galvatron.

EDIT:

The series isn't dead yet!! I know this from all the enthusiasm we've had about it, and all the great fan created Star Fox I keep seeing around the net.

They should make a game that not only creates a canon ending for command but, revamps the series! I have played Ace Combat 6 (OMG, Lets just say I has to clean the cockpit of my aircraft it was soo good) If they put SF in a full range, put the objectives in different places, and make it huge. Space battles would be more epic, in the atmosphere would take place over huge distances. Basically, make the game more open ended. So that player has more of a say in what happens. Also the AI should give the charicters skill and personlity in fighting styles and how they fly. None of this HELP ME crap that comes in at the SAME time every time you play it. In other words, take the ai script and tear it into pieces.

Ground missions, yes IMO they are necessary, but when doing this in assault, they failed like a parapelegic at ninja warrior. When they do a third person attempt, they should consider realisim and skill. Fox McCloud should move like a fox, fast and stealthy. Not like a bumbleing retard off his meds running after the ice cream truck.

Let's just say you also has to pay more attention in English as well.  :P

Actually, this is not dissimilar to what was in Command. The missions were more Advance Wars than Ace Combat, but the individual objectives (spread accross each level) were all in all-range mode. Also, the characters did have unique styles of fighting in the form of different kinds of aircraft. No, it wasn't exact, but it was pretty close.

Now I just have to wonder if all that was a good sign or a bad sign.  :?

they were close in command but no cigar for them. They need to switch platforms in my opinion. The wii sucks for flight sims. The controllers are just too... Querd...

Anyways, they just need to give the game a bit more indiviuality and make so that the gamer is playing a story, not a game. The gamer is the one can make the story great!

Unfortunately, they may not be able to get this done exactly how you want. If a realistic flight sim won't work on the Wii, then that'll just have to be the way it goes because there's no way that this will shift platforms. Maybe the rail-shooter system is a bit souless...then again, that didn't seem to hurt Star Fox 64. The Wii may not be good for an all-range flight sim, but it would be perfect for rail-shooting.
