Imamura: The Star Fox story is over.

Yeah, I miss the rail-shooting aspects of Star Fox. I should e-mail Nintendo and tell them we might want Star Fox on the Wii as a rail-shooter.

Sorry for the double post, but I can think of 3 possible endings to Star Fox`s Krystal problem, one of which I think would make most of you cry:

-Fox dies in a final showdown with Emperor Anglar. His last words to Krystal are "I`ll never forget you....". Krystal is in tears, and as a tribute to Fox, she becomes a valuable and respected member of the Cornerian army.

Same as above, but without Fox dying. Krystal doesn`t return to Star Fox, but promising Fox "Someday I`ll come back to the team for real.". In later games, she occasionally helps Star Fox on missions.

-Same as above, but Krystal stays with Star Fox for good.

Me, I think the second ending is the most likely.

well they could make a new storyline and make games for that one, BUT keep making games for this one story-line, if you dont get it look at all the mario games out there...they dont follow crap, matter of fact they all just random stuff with a new plot in each one, if works for Mario, they can give Starfox a chance.

Example: Do desperate things in desperate situations

I just figured this out. (yeah I'm late with this kind of stuff.)

I cant feel anything other than dissapointment. Cause I actualy liked the storyline, and didn't hate it for no reason. (like most people I know.) The thing I looked forward to the most was the storyline, and how it would continue. I was hoping that, when the storyline ends, would end with a bang, a good bang, where everything goes well, and all things would be revealed. But no, it HAD to end on Star Fox Command, one of the most anti-climatic Star Fox titles to date. Why I ask you. WHY!!

I think I'm just going to come up with my theory: "Star Fox storyline truley ends at Assault." How about that? Cause that game ends with a bang.

Leon has spoken!

Oh my God. :leon:

I don't know if that's true or not just reading through the thread but how disheartening.

It can't end yet, there's only a handful of games and there's just so many things that can be touched upon, it's one of Nintendo's most interesting franchises, and there's a lot they can do with it.

I know it's not one of the most popular franchises in Nintendo's eyes but it's more intriguing than Mario and there's a lot more games to go before the team retire.

I like the idea of Marcus leading a new team, but not yet, it's wayyyy too early.

I think it will stagnate if it doesn't move forward. assault didn't really go anywhere, where as cammand made some daring moves.

They could just set it up with two endings from the game and split the timeline just like the Zelda Timeline

They could do a lotta things.

But they'll do what they do, and that's all I need know.

It would be sad for nintendo to just drop starfox.... then again... If microsoft could BUY Starfox.... Maybe it would turn out just f-in awesome....

What if they removed the endings in Command altogether? Then the next game go could over Command and erase that time-line and all the events that took place, making way for a new ending in the next Star Fox game?

It would be sad for nintendo to just drop starfox.... then again... If microsoft could BUY Starfox.... Maybe it would turn out just f-in awesome....

I hope Microsoft doesn't get a hold of it, that would be terrible. Maybe Nintendo could hire some third party developer to work on it with them (or for them) instead.

ahem.... Bungie is now a third party developer as they went independent July 7th of 2007 or 7/7/07

So, you're saying Bungie may take control or Star Fox? Or you would like that to happen? I'm not sure, I guess it doesn't matter to me much as long as it's not an XBOX exclusive.

lol, i would like that to happen. Bring Starfox to the frontline of gaming would be so much better. Nintendo hasnt pusing out much for starfox, and I woulnt be surprised if they did drop it. A 3rd party developer that could bring it to another counsole like the PC instead of limiting it to just the Wii. Dont get me wrong, the wii is perfect..... for your everyday gamer. But for hardcores like me, I would appreciate something like SoL is doing. Something like an epic MMORPG. Comon, animal mercenaries in space? What could more badass than a game where you can build your ship from scratch. It would kinda be like Armored core (to the point of customization) and like guild wars when it comes to travel and battles. Where you would only be connected to your party(squadron) when on a mission. PVP would also be on a squadron basis. Planets is where you can see your pilot walk aound and shop, complete missions or even.... do entire missions using stuff like a regular third person shooter.

Now that.... would be a BADASS PC Starfox game.

Well shadows of lylat is coming out, its fan-made but it look pretty cool

It's a prequel though, that and it's not the official storyline.

That would be a great idea, but it would be considered a rip-off of Star Wars Galaxies. And I think a third party developer would do best in making a good Star Fox game rather than Microsoft who would without a doubt screw it up far too much. And multi-platform release? That just might just help in sales as well.

ive never played starwars galaxies......

Very similar idea to what you had in your last post. A Star Fox MMO sounds like a good idea, also a not so good one at the same time. I mean, we'd all like more to the story and an MMO won't bring us much of it. I'd be better off as a separate game. And as I've said, it would be a rip-off of Star Wars Galaxies.

Well the campaign would be played in a epic way like the multiplayer. If you ever played mass effect, thats would what it would be like

It'd be better off as a normal game rather than an MMO. But they could make a knock-off of it which takes place in the Star Fox universe and plays like an MMO. Hey, I think I found a name, "Star Fox Universe."
