Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies

The fifth installment of the Gyakuten Saiban series and the seventh game overall in the Ace Attorney series is coming soon! Phoenix Wright, after successfully clearing his name and having developed the Jurist System in the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, is now back in session as a defense attorney. A new junior partner will also debut in this game, named Athena Cykes. Along with the new partner comes a new game mechanic, the Mood Matrix. Like the Magatama in Justice for All and Trials & Tribulations and the Bracelet in Apollo Justice:AA, the Mood Matrix is the new instrument that will help in court. While the Magatama allows Phoenix to see and unlock Psyche-Locks to get the truth, and the bracelet allows Apollo to see subtle mannerisms during a testimony to figure out what the witness/suspect is hiding, the Mood Matrix allows Athena to examine the emotions of witnesses while they are testifying. The goal is to find contradictions between what the testimony should make the witness feel and what he or she actually feels.

The game is scheduled for release in Japan on July 25, 2013 and i Fall 2013 in North America and Europe. However, physical versions of the game is not planned for the North America and European territories, and instead Ace Attorney 5 will be available only on the Nintendo eShop.

I will get it, even though I am disappointing that they wont release a physical copy.

Big mistake there, Crapcom.

they gave an explanation, right here. They said:

"we wanted as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the game for as long as possible", and that  "this is due to a lack of retail support for previous iterations."

"With that in mind we have opted for a digital only release via the Nintendo 3DS eShop."

I understand that they want a wider focus, and making physical copies needs money, but if your anything like me, you prefer to have a hard copy

Who knows, maybe if AA5 will be successful enough, they'll opt to make physical copies.

this has been released, looks like they will have some voice acting in the game. And there seems to be a very big twist in the story :o
