"Whelp." Balsa says, taking a few steps back. "This is definitely going on the list." With a heartless cackle, Balsa dives into the elevator shaft head first. The whoosh of stagnant air blew her fiery red hair back, her eyes watering at the speed. She counted out the second till action, watching the floors go by.

"Two...one...THERE" Balsa rolls in the air, her fleet aimed towards the wall as she stretches out in the tight vertical corridor. Her boots dig into the wall, the augmented bone unphased by concrete and metal as she drags across the wall. She pushes off and aims herself at the opposite side, slowing herself one skid at a time.

Finally her speed is manageable and she latches onto a ledge with her fingers, feeling the pain of the rest of her body pulling on the taut muscle. She holds herself there for a moment as the rope begins to fall past her.

"Still going on the wall" She mutters as she pulls herself onto the small ledge, ripping a pipe off the wall to jam into the elevator doorway. As the ropes finally reach their length, she pulls on the two of them three times, already tying the rope to two anchor points off into the hallway of their destination.

"I really should have brought my jumppack." Rae muttered waiting for the others to go first.

Drake and Kabier climbed down the rope, and while they waited for the others, Drake and Kabier took a look around.

"It's really, really filthy down here," Kabier commented.

"I can think of worse places," Drake replied. He and Kabier made a circuit of the area, then Drake called out to the others, "Area's secure - come on down." In an aside directed at Argo, he added, "Argo, if you can reside in a set of armor, jump in - there are no security systems down here you can get into."

"I wonder why...?" Kabier mused.

As soon as she finished, a low, guttural growl echoed through the air.

"Tell me you all heard that," Drake whispered.

"Don't tell me it's another Colicoid." Rae sighed as she slid down the rope "Argo's in my armor. he has been for the whole trip or at least his main chip."

"That didn't sound like a Colicoid," Kabier commented. "But whatever it is, I'm betting it's big."

"Hey Myles," Drake said over the radio, "What's the holdup?"

Myles was about to head down before he heard several 'CLICKS' and turned around. "Drop it", a voice command. Myles dropped his Thomson and stood where he was, hands held up, surrounded by Justicars. Myles scanned the group until he spotted a Justicar who had his gun up but not zeroed in with his sights, 'new blood', Myles thought to himself. "Some one be ready to catch me",Myles quietly said over the radio.

"Hey you",Myles said, the "new blood" looked side to side and pointed to himself, "Yeah you... Front and center!",Myles responded, the Justicar look at what Myles assumed was his C.O. The commanding officer nodded thinking this would be good experience for the new recruit. The recruit slowly made his way front of the group and stopped in front of Myles. "so, are you going to make me your prisoner?",Myles asked the recruit, "That's the idea", the recruit answered. "What am I worth?",Myles asked again, the recruit look at the C.O. who tugged his head to the left. The recruit turned back and replied,"...nothing" before he took aim and fired a single laser shot at Myles who then began to fall down the shaft.

Drake leapt into the shaft and tapped into the Force, attempting to slow Myles' descent.

Tell me you're not hit, Myles, Drake thought.

"What's holding him up?" Rae asked not able to sense that far up.

Myles descent was near an end as he was being slowed by Drakes force and soon came into view. He was face down with blood dripping from his forehead, smoke trailing off burnt fur. His hair hung down over his eyes covering the gruesome mark.

"I'm not a healer" Balsa says, moving to the elevator shaft and quickly attempting to sunder the ropes before anyone got down them.

"No need, but some pain killers would be nice", Myles said as he suddenly raised his head up revealing the wound. At a closer look you could see what you would think be his skull with a metallic sheen.

"Fucking A, Myles," Drake sighed. "You scared the bejesus out of--"

That low-pitched growl sounded again, louder and closer this time.

"Someone please tell me what the hell that is...?" Kabier requested.

Drake handed Myles a pair of nano-medprobe capsules and said, "I usually save these for major wounds, but you need them more than I," he said.

"Drake... we've got a problem," Kabier called out.

"What's new?" Drake asked.

"See for yourself," Kabier said. Drake moved over to Kabier's location and saw what she was looking at - down on the floor below, directly in their path, were a pair of mutant monstrosities chewing on a body.

"I guess that explains where the growling came from," Drake commented.

"Vibranium-Adimantium alloy with a heat shield up to 20,000 degrees", Myles said tapping the metal plate. "Had it put in shortly after I was shot in the head during the Lylat wars",he added before Drake handed him the capsules

"Then I'll save them, cause I have a felling we may need them",He indicated towards the mutants.

"Who cares?" Kabier murmured. "They're gonna--"

"Shh," Drake shushed her. "They might hear us."

One of the mutants warbled and looked up - directly at them. It roared and charged, and the other mutant began to charge with it.

"Shit, he heard us!" Drake cursed, taking aim and firing.

The mutants continued to charge, even as they were being shot to hell. The first one took overlapping shots to the head and dropped, the second died inches from Myles' feet.

"It's an easy bet there's more of these things between us and the ruins of the Jedi Temple Access points," Drake said. He looked around, searching for more enemies, and spotted... "Balsa," Drake asked, "You know how to use Pikes, right?"

"Principle is the same" Balsa agrees. "Toss me it and ill see if they built it to my standards."

Rae put her Dc_15 rifle on her back and pulled out a metal sword hilt the hilt looked like a beam sword hilt from the smash bros games. "I think I can help."

Drake slung his AK and headed to a half-chewed corpse and relieved him of an unusual-looking pike. At first glance, it looked to be a red-colored Force Pike, but it was much sturdier. The metal on the pike seemed to be extremely light, yet incredibly sharp. The Pike had a spear tip at the head with jagged edges, with an axe-blade jutting out from one side and a jagged spike coming out from behind. The head itself seemed to sit on an electrified pole - electrical pulses traveled up and down it's length. Drake tossed the pike to Balsa.

"Don't think I've ever seen a pike like that - not in this 'verse," he commented.

"Im not sure what to think about this thing." Balsa says, snatching it out of the air and swinging it about a few times. She lets it pulls its weight as she leans into practices maneuvers, talking as she does. "This is more of a Halbard than it is a Pike, but whoever made this was clearly unsuited to my kind of polearm fighting."

She examines the head of it and nods. "I'm not really used to this technosorcery, but i think i could acclimate for something this, ah, needlessly brutal."

She leans the pike on her shoulder and balances is with a lazy hand. "With any luck it is lightsaber proof."

"I would figure." Balsa says, her long strides taking her past Rae with her head swaying as she walks. "Considering i wouldn't dare fire a gun in good taste"
