CrypticQuery
I always love when companies jab at each other directly. Note this video just posted by Sony Playstation's Youtube Account. It clearly mocks Xbox One's ridiculously lengthy provisions for the used game market and game sharing and is hilarious at that.

Steve
PS4 costing 399? holy shit, I'm sold, and I swore not to ever be interested by a Sony console. They just kicked ass.
CrypticQuery
Not to mention there is little DRM present on the PS4 when compared to the Xbox-One and that the PS4 does indeed cost $399 http://kotaku.com/ps4-games-wont-have-many-of-the-restrictions-of-xbox-o-512477859 http://kotaku.com/the-ps4-costs-399-512483512 -- The only downfall I see is that it seems as if a Playstation Plus subscription is required to play games online for PS4. While PS+ is a good service with a ridiculous amount of perks and free games, I must say that the fact that it is required is a bit of a letdown. At least I'd still be able to play singleplayer games without problem and not have to worry about an always-online console with DRM everywhere.
Dr. Orange
The video made me crylaugh so much. I starting to think MS just wants to be hammered.
StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
So does this mean that Nintendo has the advantage in terms of online gaming since it is the only free service left? On topic, I applaud Sony's efforts. I really want this commercial to show up on TV so i can see other people react to it.

On topic, I applaud Sony's efforts. I really want this commercial to show up on TV so i can see other people react to it. It seems as if Nintendo as well as the PC have an advantage with completely free online, yes. And I do commend Sony on going with the No-DRM route. The console's design is very reminiscent of the PS2 [which I love], the price is a full $100 less than the immediate competition, and while PS+ is required to play online the fact that the console is not always-online and I can therefore play singleplayer games perfectly fine makes me happy. Fana McCloud
Sony hath pulled a 180 off the road to obscurity into actually being a competitive player this round. Well done Sony, well done. XD Xbox One's new DRM crappy crap crap is an absolute and utter DEAL BREAKER for me. I don't need more complications coming between me and my games, I need fewer.

CrypticQuery
Pretty much, I don't see Nintendo talkin' bout blocking used games or putting in DRM. You can tell with Shigeru's smile --- By far, this is the BEST Sony v. CrypticQuery
Quick update. While a PS+ subscription (at $5 a month I believe) is required to play online, a single subscription will work for multiple accounts on the same PS4. https://twitter.com/Fall3nXspitfire/status/344366514817875968 Specs have also been released, and you are able to swap out HDDs like you could do with the PS3; http://kotaku.com/the-ps4-has-a-500gb-hard-drive-and-other-misc-details-512521805 Also, the PS4 is region-free. http://kotaku.com/the-playstation-4-is-region-free-512543811
Harlow
Someone please explain to me about this PS+ thing. Would I need to pay to create a PS4 account? Or is that like a "premium" account? On the video. They'll need one PS4 may end up winning this race by a neck. But I don't think Xbox is continuing with the Internet-Requirement, do they? Thomas Draco
The forced PS+ is a low move for Sony. They have more than enough resources to handle having optional free and premium services. Someone please explain to me about this PS+ thing. Would I need to pay to create a PS4 account? Or is that like a "premium" account? Online multiplayer you will need to pay for via PS+. Vy'drach
It's a premium account type deal. You can make a PSN account then subscribe to PS+. As for it being a low move, to each their own, I reckon, but I don't mind it much since internet services like that are expensive to run as well as making the console at a loss. $5 a month is nothing, really, especially since the PS+ perks are already worth it usually.

Agreed; $5 a month isn't bad - especially when considering all of the free items you procure with PS+ membership. Though I rarely use my PS3 for online play and doubt I will use the PS4 for it much either; the PC takes that role on and the PS3/PS4 act as a singleplayer machine in my case.
LoneWolf
I'm a PS+ subscriber and for me it's totally worth it. I barely buy any games for my PS3, so for $60 a year I'll just take the free offerings. Which are generally REALLY GOOD. Oh also to burn Micro$oft further, PS+ subscribers get Uncharted 3, XCOM, and Little Big Planet Karting. For free. Today. http://www.ign.com/blogs/falcon-x32/2013/06/07/surprise-playstation-plus-update-uncharted-3-xcom-and-littlebigplanet-karting

I can finally stop operating off of this principle I suppose; xD
Steph McCloud
Xbox: One Playstation: Four The reason it's called the Xbox one is because they took 359 steps backwards. Alright, all jokes aside, the Xbox one really does look terrible. Consolse and action game wise, PS4 looks the best, though for other games Nintendo looks the most promising. russiandog38
I can say I've been an xbox fan ever since the first original xbox came out, but after seeing this huge disaster called the Xbox One I think I might switch to Sony. Congrates Microsoft on your big middle finger to xbox fans.

Redeemer
Quoting because none of you have even bothered to bless this with captions. Someone DO IT. Also Sony. <3 I'm perfectly willing to cough up $399 for something that has like, many of the games I've been waiting for. Also, since I don't see it here: ^ From the goldmine that was Xort's wall last night.
