1) Whatever about the gameplay. That can't be DICE's game and besides, that looks extremely, extremely, rough and early so it is far too early to judge the game anyway.

 

2) I completely disagree, as I am the resident optimist and always look to the good in things rather than the bad, but I can't keep arguing the good things vs the bad things about EA. Neither of us can win this argument, so let's agree to disagree. :V

 

3) Yes, they do know what went wrong with BF3. What about PR? You don't admit that you fucked up to the public. Can you imagine the backlash? But yes, I know DICE is not "innocent", but as I said, I can just see things in BF3 that are like.. man, this game was just like an experiment as opposed to BF4 where they actually now know what they're doing.

Also, you're talking about the kinda-scripted 64-player gameplay from E3, correct? Have you watched the 5+ hours of livestream unscripted gameplay? I suggest you go read a bit more about the game, because I, too, was kinda skeptical at first from the kinda-scripted gameplay, but I am now blown away by how good the game looks.

 

I think Mirror's Edge 2, Battlefield 4, and Battlefront will all succeed. EA and DICE have both learned their lessons from what they've done wrong in the past, yet no one can see it (yet, at least), but in time they will.

Of course, that's not to say either one is perfect, but perfection is impossible. They're both just doing their jobs and trying to make a profit. That's all anyone does.

That would certainly be nice, though judging from the banter throughout this thread it appears as if that would be wishful thinking.
