DZComposer
The Star Fox Musical failed. Zero interest after the initial announcement. Even adding music or lyrics to the Slippy song didn't drum up support. But I am not ready to give up on the idea of dramatizing Star Fox. I've come up with an idea that would be a little easier to do, and won't be quite as monumental of a task: A Star Fox Radio/Podcast Drama! I can't do this alone. I need mainly voice actors (I'm doing Slippy, so hands-off. ). Story help would be great too, but it isn't 100% required. If there's no interest, I have no incentive to work on this. Now, this is a very preliminary idea. There are several things that I need to make a decision on before I can proceed with this idea. I'm thinking about hour-long episodes. It won't be weekly, I can guarantee that. Should this be one, continuing, story or should it be a series of smaller stories? Who (characters) shoud be in it? When in the story should it take place? Now, I haven't even decided if I am going to do this yet. I'm just casting my line out and seeing if I get any bites on this idea.
Mr. Krystal
I'm sorry to hear about the musical dying. I worked hard on that site. I guess if I can't be Slippy, the only other one I've worked on was General Pepper. I'm also geeky, so I could do Rob. As for the idea, we could replace maybe every 5th SFOCast with an episode, since we already have the distribution worked out for that. Story wise, you know, there's a LOT of pretty good fanfictions out there that are worth checking out. No need to reinvent the wheel, just adapt everyone's favorite fanfics for radio. This fanfic is both beloved and one of the only ones I've read, so I recommend it: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1881650/1/. It also has many new characters that only make a short appearance, allowing everyone a part who wants one.
DZComposer
I don't want to tie this in with SFOCast, mainly because it is not an SFO-Exclusive project. As far as the project site, I am thinking I'll just turn the musical site into the radio show site. There's only one graphic branded "SFMusical" so I am thinking about just going in there and changing the text. I personally would like to create (a) new story(ies) for this so that it is fresh content. Also, I want to keep certian canoninity standards. salmon45
That sounds like an interesting idea. I think the episodes might be better of being half an hour long. Most people do not have an attention span that long. Creating new stories would be a good idea. But I think that the idea of doing fan fictions that people wrote would be fun too. The War of The Worlds is an example of a story that was previously written that transfered well to radio.(But the same can't be said about the movie, lol). People like to see their favorite stories done in different ways, like the Lord of the rings movies.
Mr. Krystal
Here's another idea for story. Since Command had not voice actors, what say we go through the various paths of Command, and voice the stories. I'm currently working on the exact script of Command (with some help), so getting the original text won't be a problem. Also, as with my previous idea, there are many different parts available for voice actors, AND no-one will get put out if the story isn't accurate, because it IS accurate, being a game and all. What do you think? Either way, we need to start working towards the first episode soon, lest this idea fall by the wayside.
salmon45
I have heard some of the first podcast and I have to say that I really liked it.
DZComposer
I'd like to do original content if at all possible. But, as of now, I really haven't gotten the response to thei idea that I have wanted, so it's starting to look like this isn't going to happen. My current schedule is another problem. Due to this, if things get better and I do decide to move forwards, it will probably start happening in December.
Infinity
How about you do some crazy hidden thing for Shadows of Lylat? More people may be interested to get involved in the best SF fangame production ever (might pull more artists to it too because I'm too inexperienced with textures right now >.<).
