0 CrypticQuery
You'd need some sort of modified console as far as I know, and then you'd be going into uncharted legal territory - therefore I cannot recommend attempting to modify your console to support mods. Mods are definitely worth getting into PC gaming however; it's relatively cheap when considering the investment in the long run. Check out my screenshots from GTA IV and Skyrim, for example. 0 StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
I don't recommend modding any gaming console, as I feel that can do harm to your console if you do it wrong, and you lose the warranty on it automatically (i'll add that to what crazy said) And do I see realistic textures there in GTA IV Crazy? Why do I feel like someone took actual pictures and recreated them into those textures?
0 CrypticQuery
And do I see realistic textures there in GTA IV Crazy? Why do I feel like someone took actual pictures and recreated them into those textures? The improvements to GTA IV that can be had with mods are far too numerous to list here; the game looks so much better than the vanilla version that it isn't even funny! 0 CrypticQuery
To be really honest, I don't really like the bloom... The beauty of it is that you can customize nearly everything, including the level of bloom. Compare it to vanilla GTA IV graphics [which boil down to the game being a horrible port] and you'll see how large of a jump it is.
0 Arashikage
I guess I'd be beating a dead horse here, but I want to get my two cents in. If you want to mod, play on PC. Modding on a console is far too dangerous, and since everything is on the disk, you could render your game unplayable forever. You don't want to do that. Since a console is not powered to handle things like this, like graphics and extra models and all that, you could run your system in the ground. Some people can get a few things working on their consoles, like the testinghall in Oblivion, and such, but I haven't seen very many or any at all now that I think of it with completely new content. In short, no, you can't mod something on the Xbox, not without a lot of time, and huge risk, and at that point: is it really worth it?
0 Star_Dragon
I'm inclined to agree with Kage. Modding a console just shouldn't be done. I, however, am an avid PC gamer with mods on multiple games (some of said mods I made myself). That is, in my opinion, where PC gaming has an advantage over console gaming - the ability to mod your games without risk to your system or hardware/software.
