Dr. Orange
So what do I mean by this you ask? Well, this thread is about our Minecraft server as you might have guessed, but also a creative brainstorming idea thread. Since Minecraft has the ability to create some of the most eye-popping contraptions and creations. What could we as a community create on our server? What we've got so far besides our places of living: DZ's Spawn Sawtooth's Flying sail ships Kage's and Waffle's Ark Doctor Allosaurus Skull thing...? My Grand Library and Forge as well as that Tenant and Lighthouse I've got. What else can we think up? Post the ideas, any details you got for the project and etc. So far what I've got up here: Since I watched the movie 42, the idea came of what about recreating Dodger's Stadium in New York or something to a smaller extent. Creating a Medieval Castle on top of a cloud. With a Vine, tree, beanstalk whatever. A little Rec Center with a pool, makeshift tennis, soccer and basketball courts. A little thing for any future pubers.

Icy
Cool ideas. I'm willing to help with anything and everything. I love building, especially with others. I'm currently working on a massive Star Fox "fox" logo as well as my own house. I already have an Arwing and a giant Triforce (which I'm considering relocating), and I intend to build some other Nintendo-themed stuff around my little area, especially intending to make some Wind Waker replicas. What, exactly? I don't know yet... The edge of my claimed land is a bit close to some of DZ's (I think?) tracks, so I hope that isn't a problem, but I won't build any closer to them anymore, of course. -- The only problem I'm having with the server is the land-claiming system. I just don't really care for it that much, but it does work well to protect your creations, of course. I just don't like that I (apparently) can't see the outline of ALL my claimed land. I have to guess, guess, then resize, resize another in the way, unclaim, reclaim, hope it doesn't disappear, etc. I've been okay so far but it is a little annoying to me. However, I may be missing some key feature that helps you see where your claimed land is. Does anyone know something I don't? Anyway, the stuff some people have made already is astonishing to me. Some real creative people we have here.
ballisticwaffles
If you click using the Stick you can see your entire plot.
DZComposer
The stick is the info tool for Grief Prevention. It will tell you who owns a claim and show its boundaries when you right-click a block. Also, install Rei's Minimap to your client. It helps a ton with that kind of thing as it gives you an over-head view and shows the blocks that GP temporarily changes. It also allows you to set waypoints so you don't get lost.
Dr. Orange
I've looked into 12 different ways to install that minimap and each time I try, I don't get it installed. I don't know how you all can get it.
LoneWolf
I am build something StarFox related. Keeps getting bisected by the clouds though. Bleh. But seriously we need more giant StarFox stuff. Perhaps a whole area based on the Corneria level from the original SNES version?
DZComposer
Decompress the mod somewhere. Remember where.Next, you have to copy the 1.6.2 folder in %appdata%/.minecraft/versions (mac or linux would be ~/.minecraft/versions) and the rename the folder, the jar file, and the json file the same, IE /1.6.2-mods/ 1.6.2-mods.jar 1.6.2-mods.json.Next, edit the .json file (it's just a txt file). Find 1.6.2 and replace it with 1.6.2-mods (or whatever you named everything).Next, open the 1.6.2-mods.jar file in an archiver program like 7-zip.Delete the META-INF folder in the jar.Copy all of the mod files into the jar.Close everything.Open the Minecraft Launcher. Edit your profile and select 1.6.2-mods from the version combobox. You could also install Forge and install other mods through it rather than going through this process (sans the last step) for each mod.
LoneWolf
People should do more of the headshots since unfortunately mine isn't ~canon~ but it's hella huge and I'm fucking proud of it.
