New TF2 Times?

TF2 nights lately have had poor turnout. Is the current time for them bad? I am open to suggestions.

I loved playing game nights and hanging with friends, but honestly who's else is on besides the usual crew of the past few weeks. If the community honestly wanted to play, they would. Yet no one's been on much. I know I haven't besides Friday. With the group that has made the past couple of nights we could just find a public server. 

 

It's a shame and a painful truth.

The reason I never show up is that I have younger siblings who like watching me play video games, but aren't allowed to play TF2 (Due to it's M rating) so I can't play it until they're in bed (Around 9:00-9:30 PST). I'd be able to play with you guys if we had them later in the evening, though.

Sunday and earlier in the evening may be a possibility, though that could stop working for me later on.

 

Currently Fridays and Saturdays are being booked, and the majority of my weekends Friday and Saturday are not allowing me to turn out.

 

Sunday and Monday evenings might be feasible.

I'd play way more often if I could but for various reasons I either miss out the party completely or am too early/late for anything fun. Heck, I don't even mind being a lagbug ingame because of bad connection or being forced to use a old computer to play, just as long as I'm there...

 

Then again there's siblings in my way. You know that Paulingen13 guy you were playing with, DZ? Yep, that was him. Though I'm not to be expected to show up around that time, because I'm not allowed to 'stay too long on internet stuff'... :V Parents and their goddamn 'Online-availability-window-that-makes-no-sense Schedules'. :l

 

Although, are schedule duplicates on same day an possibility to take in account? As in a 'second' schedule placed earlier than the current ones, for people who usually miss/leave too early/get too late in the current gametimes (like that dolt OrbiterSpore)? Anyway, a huge shift isn't needed on the server IMO, but I think it wouldn't hurt to have additions. May be just me though.

Perhaps a later time for Saturday - Say, 8-9 EST since people don't get on until about that time anyways Friday or Saturday. Then have another night like Sunday, and have it earlier (Maybe 7 EST).

I get the feeling if we spread the days out too thin with our numbers we would have a pretty sparse showing since everyone can participate at such a wide range of time.  I know I might have an easier time with getting some game time in if it were a bit later.  Besides, it does seem that most of our regulars get into the game until 30 minutes to an hour after start time anyways (of course I realize that by pushing the time off a bit, they would just come in late anyways).

Or just launch TF2 with the -sillygibs option. That makes all the gibs unicycles and shit like when tf_birthday is set to 1 on a server.

I feel like this needs to be brought up again.

I'm finding a lot of the time this year with my schedule, I'm often missing meets by only one or two hours. Personally while later sounds more practical in a sense and I've vouched for later, perhaps earlier in the evening could work better.

Dont know about the rest of you guys but a thursday night gametime would work out well for me... just putting that out there
