Tera peered down the stairs before responding to Kage. "Yeah, they're CDF. Which means they were taught how to survive in a danger zone and how to defend themselves. Their training is probably equal or even better then mine and Ryans." She held her rifle at the ready, just waiting for something to pop up at the end of the steps. " And the fox over there is right, you cant blame the CDF for what happened because honestly the CPD fell apart just as fast. There was no way anyone could of known what to do."

"My name is Ryan Moore, SWAT officer from the CPD. Tell me Dimitri, where are you and your wife located at?" Ryan ended his message and went into the hall to see what was wrong with Star. "Is there anything I can assist with?" He asked.

[Jimmy Darnell]

Dimitri listen's, thinks for a moment then responds with "Alrighty Ryan, we are just about a half mile away from the on ramp for the South Eastern Highway." He look's around for a second and continues to say " We're on top of a hill that's level with the highway."

Victoria now scanning the highway and round the sides of the hill for any unwanted guests.

Star screamed into the sock as she was shocked with excruciating pain. Placing her hands on the floor, she dug her nails into it, tears streaming and falling as she bawled and whimpered. She had never in her life experienced such pain. Not even when KORA was born, seeing as she had a medicine to numb the pain. Leon grabbed her hand and never took his eyes off of his beautiful wife. He couldn't, as he was greatly worried about her. Kora on the other hand was in tears, sitting on the floor in fetal position. She hated seeing her momma in pain and wanted to help her, but she didnt know how.

[Dr. Orange]

"Blood... hmm..." He thought to himself. "I'll tell you, this isn't something bad, but I can tell you it isn't something good either." He searched through a now unorganized pack of vials, needles and supplies galore. What he was looking for was the basic over the counter ibuprofen and a small green pill. "Take these and the pain should decrease significantly in the next couple of minutes. I can't help with the bleeding however. I do not have any drugs that increase blood coagulation just yet. That you might need to toughen out. What you have might be a simple hematoma, it might not. I don't have the supplies or equipment to prove that at the moment. But I'll intend to find out eventually."

Tera let out a sigh and started her descent down the stairs. She made it down to the second floor and then the first, finding it clear. "Ryan." She said into her radio. "Ill meet you out by the curb."

 

Ryan heard Teras transmission and looked back at the group in the bathroom. It looks like they had things covored. He went back into his room and reappeared a few moments later with his duffle back strapped over his shoulder. The panther limped over to the rope leading down to the first gloor and made his way to the barricaded door. Staring at the blockage infront of him he turned to lennox. "Want to help me with this?"

"SHIT!"

 

Lennox clamped the journal shut and stored it away in his backpack when he heard someone talking to him, at a reflex-like speed. He looked at the limping panther hoping he didn't see anything other than him. He did get too distracted, not happening next time.

 

"Whats going on cat? We're leaving finally?" The jaguar headed to the barricade and started taking off stuff of it.

Star nodded as leon got up and grabbed the pills from him. He then proceeded to take off the backpack from his back and grab a water bottle from it, which he gave to star along with the pills. She opened up the water bottle and put the pills into her mouth as she drank it and swallowed them and got to her feet slowly. Pain still wracked through her body and she could barely walk, but it had subsided.....for now. Leon put the bag onto his back and then picked up Kora before heading over to the door.

Ryan wondered why Lennox had been so jumpy, but quickly pushed it from his mind. There were more important matters to attend to. "Not quite, Star is having some trouble upstairs so you guys arnt leaving yet. Tera and I on the other hand are going to meet up with the people on the radio." he said, helping pull the barricade away. After the entrance was unblocked he limped through the door. "You're welcome to come with us if you want."

Lennox wasn't fond of authority men; the times he walked next to them before weren't really a mutual agrement. But it was either that or being a sitting duck back in that house. He walked with Ryan outside.

 

"Beats being stuck here, plus I've been wanting to get out for the darndest time. Who you're metting with again?"

Dimitri walks back over to a car and leans against it. As he pulls off his helmet and sets it beside him on the hood, he checks his pack. Unziping it and diging through the A.R. and revolver munitions, 8 silencers and a few egg timers to a bottle of whiskey. Victoria joins him, “There’s one down the road.†She says, then looks into the pack “I knew we had more than enough ammo, but enough room for silencers and a bottle of JD?†Dimitri unscrews the cap and takes a sip from the bottle, “Yeah, theres more munitions in the other pockets also.†He says offering the bottle to Victoria now.

“Thanks,-†she says grabbing the bottle and sipping a bit then handing it back to Dimitri.

He puts the cap back on the whiskey and places it back in his back pack. He hands her a silencer. She then walks to her rifle, attaches the silencer to her A.R., aims at the zed on the highway; and fires. “Nice shot,-“ Dimitri says “You’re getting better.†She joins him again, handing him the silencer back, and they wait.

Ryan stopped on the front porch and kneeled down, unzipping his duffle bag. "A couple on the radio whos camped out on the highway, says they're CDF." The panther removed four gun parts from the bag and quickly assembled them into his sniper rifle, finishing off by mounting his scope. "We are going up there to see if the really are friendly, which if they are we will bring them back."

 

Tera sat on the street patroling the area until Ryan came out of the house. When she saw the front door open and two figures step out she made her way over to them, but realized just who else was coming on this trip. Great, Ryan brought Lennox along. Probably the only person in the group who has seen the other end of a squad car. She got to the porch and eyed the jaguar before turning to her squad mate. "You guys ready to go?"

[Dr. Orange]

Scott got down the stairs and over heard the conversation "It isn't that bad here, is it? I thought it gave a 'home-y' feel." Scott said throwing his bag over his right shoulder walking towards the door and stood in the frame. He caught eye of the rifle being assembled. "Nice Rifle. Any confirmed kills?" He says to the Panther. He kept on the lookout on the road, his eyes hurt from the open light of the world, burning his corneas.

Lennox rolled his eyes and sighed.

"CDWhat?! Dammit even MORE security stuck-ups. And this one might spill the beans or trump my plan..."

 

There were two figures in the distance; he presumed it was those radio guys. A quick grab and peek from Ryan's scope made up the two spots as two people.

 

"Yes, whenever you're ready..." Lennox couldn't lie to himself, removing the police set-up, Tera seemed like the kind of woman he would hang out with. Hard rocker chicks always worked for him. This wasn't the time or place, and the feline had his priorites set stone cold in his mind. That didn't stop him of stroking her hip with his tail in a suave manner while he started his way to the reunion point.

"There wernt a lot of mission were I got to use my rifle, but id say my kill count with this is about 103." Ryan said as Scott appeared through the door. He reached through his bag ounce more and pulled out his SWAT helmate, placing it on his head and walking down to join Lennox and Tera in the streets. "If you wish to join us Scott you may."

 

He did NOT just do that. Tera felt Lennox's tail against her hip and clenched her jaw and fist. No not now, she had to focus on reaching the CDF survivors. Cussing out Lennox would have to come later. A sigh escaped the raccoons mouth as Ryan walked past her. "Lets hope these people dont end up trying to kill us." She said more to herself then to him.

[Dr. Orange]

"I believe I will."  He said beginning to advance towards Lennox and Tera. His bag was feeling light, running low on supplies. Whoever this Tera person was, hope she didn't have a spear of metal like her brother. He saw Lennox actions and chuckled to himself. The raccoon was obviously pissed.

They all started like that. If she didn't hit him in the spot, it was fair game; he may coax both cops to aid him. Parting from experience, it was diffcult, but not impossible...

 

"Wait... What about the Partridge family, the guy on his period and the old witch? Where are they, taking a break while we risk ourselves?"

"Just let them rest for a bit." Ryan said to Lennox. "We'll go grab these two and come right back, the others will do their own thing in the meantime." He turned his attention near the highway and spotted the two black dots that had to be the radio men, thinging through his course of action. "Alright" he said, turning back to the others. "They are only going to be expecting me, so I think it would be better if only I confronted them. Tera can take my rifle and cover me from a distance, while another person goes with her to be her spotter. Im alos going to need somebody to take her AR and follow me up from behind, though not to close as to spook the radio people."

 

Tera took hold of Ryan's sniper and switched him for the AR. She turned toward the highway and looked for a good vantage point. (oops, sorry High. I had to rush to get this post out and completely forgot that Scott greeted Tera)

"Well, I guess I'll be the spotter. Scott here got enough firepower"

Kage headed from the window, turning to face Roxy.  "So what's your story?  I just kinda found you behind a car, and there wasn't much time for conversation." He mentioned.  It wasn't every day in this kind of scenario that something like this happens, and if it weren't for his eye, she could have died on that highway.

Frankly, Roxy wasn't sure she wanted to tell the man, like it was some dark secret she could only trust her good friends to know. Besides, these guys could be dangerous; if it weren't for them, the zombies wouldn't have come out in the first place. But since they did come out, and since she did run away to safety with the group...maybe she owed him at least something of an explanation. "My story's the same as everyone else's: Just trying to survive," she said. "I was with people before, but..." She trailed off; he shouldn't have needed her to finish the thought, and she didn't want to.

Ryan nodded and turned to Scott, holding out the AR-15 to take. "Follow me about 40 yards behind and move between coverage so you dont get shot if something goes down. There isnt much ammo left so choose your shots wisely."

 

Figures. Tera turned and handed Lennox her binoculars, giving Ryan a short stare before speaking. "That building over there has a flat roof and good view of the highway." She said, jamming her thumb to a two story corner store. "There should be a roof access hatch so we'll be able to cover you from up there."

Frankly, Roxy wasn't sure she wanted to tell the man, like it was some dark secret she could only trust her good friends to know. Kage sighed, "I know what that's like." He commented.  It wasn't long before he looked back out the window, seeing the small group heading out from two doors down.  "What the hell are they doing with those guns?" Kage asked, "If they attract every zombie within a square mile, I'm not leaving this house.  I don't have a lot of ammunition, and my pike isn't going to last a lot longer."  Had Kage listened to the entire broadcast he'd know that they were going to meet with the group of survivors they were talking to.

Scott took the gun, real strong stuff. More powerful than his Marlin. He sighed a bit "Don't worry. I'll figure this out ... soon." He waited for Ryan to be the 40 something yards ahead before he started making his own advance. Yet only to turn back temporary to see the other two. ""Lennox, don't pull anything stupid. It's hard to make a one night stand in the middle of Hell." He grinned and winked before turning back to Ryan's path. "Have fun you too."

"If that's true, lust wouldn't be a deadly sin..." He swore he heard a groan from someone.

 

The jaguar and the raccoon made their way to the quite eerie building. Luckily, the way to the roof was easy enough, despite the stairs creaking at every step. Being a store, Lennox got a pair of cans of food and two bottles of alcohol of decent quality that managed to survive. The feline grabbed some other bottles and glass trinkets lying around and scattered them by the stairs entrace. Tera was already in position looking over Ryan. Seemed he already made contact.

 

"If you hear glass moving or breaking, do a 180° and shoot." He sat down next to the raccoon and looked through the binoculars. Since it was a tedious job, he opened one of his already started bottles to pass the time.

Ryan limped along down the highway, his side arm drawn just incase any infected decided to grab him from any of the rusted out cars. He could see the two radio people pretty well now, clearly CDF from the armor they wore. "Hello!" He shouted as he raised a hand. He prayed to God they were friendly, his SWAT uniform would only be able to protect him from so many bullets. 

 

Tera layed down on edge of the roof and set up the rifles bi-pod, giving a simple "uh huh" to what Lennox said. Her tail swished side to side nervously as she adjusted the scope to the appropriate distance. "Hey Lennox, look in the top right corner of the lens and tell me the air speed." She glanced throught the scope and watched the exchange down below.
