Maybe I'll fix the typoes. Maybe not.

As far as sources, most of it comes from either the games themselves, the manuals, players' guides, official comics, developer interviews, and the Iwata Asks for SF64 3D. The exception is the ship names. I found those by googling the names of the ships and seeing what results came up. Some of them, like the Area 6 frigates, are obvious. Others required a little reading, such as the one named after the movie. The third one was just a simple translation.
