So this is a little project I decided to take on to sate my need for something new that was Star Fox as well. Basically, I took a look at the series and decided to make a trilogy of stories from Star Fox SNES to Star Fox Assault, not necessarily as a screenplay, but as a fanfic project.

Star Fox I

Prologue: The Death of James McCloud

Chapter 1: Unfortunate Son

-Starts on Papetoon

-Fox and co. are raiding Imperial transports

-Gen. Pepper asks for their immediate assistance.

-Star Fox sneaks aboard a cruise ship

Chapter 2: Manifest Destiny

-Cruise ship to Corneria

-Enter Fara Phoenix

-The ship is boarded by lizard soldiers and takes Fara hostage.

-Fox and co. arrive in time for a standoff.

-Fara disables the trooper that has her at gun point as Fox and his team take out the others.

-Star Fox rewarded and get first class seats.

Chapter 3: Corneria

-Corneria is currently a warzone with Corneria City under siege

-The cruise ship needed escort to get through

-Arwings have been presented to the team for flight

-Fara is the test coordinator and coaxes Fox into following her

-This segment follows the comic well, with Fox carrying her to safety

-The team obliterates the opposition and Corneria is safe

-Pepper presents the Great Fox to the team saying that his father had an 80 year mortgage on it.

Chapter 4: Sector Y

-Space Fleet from SNES

-The action focuses on Fara when she flies into a dreadnought and destroys it from the inside out. This will be expanded upon.

-An ambitious squadron leader gives the order to push deep into enemy lines. One of his wingmen, or rather wingwomen, voices disapproval, but they continue on anyway.

-The squad is obliterated save for one pilot, Fay Spaniel, the one who went vocal.

-Fara goes in and helps her out of trouble, bringing her into formation with Star Fox as they make a more tactical approach from all directions.

-Fay proves herself to be a useful pilot, but very vocal. She leaves the CDF and joins Star Fox.

Chapter 5: Katina

-Enter Bill Grey

-Stage will play out the same as before

-Action focuses on Bill and Fox. This will be expanded upon.

Chapter 6: Fichina

-STAR WOLF!

-Star Wolf will consist of Wolf, Leon, Pigma, Oikonny, and Algy.

-Action focuses on Fox and Wolf and Peppy and Pigma predominantly. Peppy wants revenge on Pigma, but is able to contain his anger.

-Star Fox engages Star Wolf while CDF Bomb Squads attempt to disable the bomb placed in the base.

-Star Fox wards off Star Wolf, but the CDF Bomb Squad triggers the explosive early, destroying the base.

Chapter 7: Aquas

-Blue Marine

-Slippy becomes distraught and borderline angry about the pollution of his homeworld.

-The Blue Marine will not be launched from the Great Fox. It's actually Slippy's old project back home. They launched straight from the city with a small team in the sub.

-There will be minimal sea life present. More Venomian watercraft will be attacking, trying to hold back Star Fox from getting to the aqua-augment.

Chapter 8: Zoness

-Enter Katt Monroe

-Action focuses on Falco. Im not sure if I want to make Zoness his homeworld or not, but it would give decent reason.

-Some dialogue with Katt after the battle with Falco.

-Katt leaves to pursue her own endeavors.

Chapter 9: Macbeth

-LANDMASTER!

-This level will largely be the same as Fox and Slippy use the Landmaster while Peppy, Fara, and Falco run in the air

-The Landmaster will be changed from a only forward shooting tank to a high velocity tank with ventral thrusters and a gunner's seat. And apparently thrusters isnt a word when it clearly is. The Landmaster can also ONLY chargeshot and can do Barrel Rolls, but they drain a lot of power. Its going to be similar to either the Assault or Brawl versions.

-The two attempt to locate and disable a mag lev train, making the high speed boosts VERY important.

Chapter 10: Titania

-A pilot by the name of Miyu Lynx reports of a possible super weapon on Titania. It is another augment, but this one can potentially destabilize the tectonics of a planet and reduce it to rubble.

-She is an accomplished pilot and accompanies Star Fox to Titania.

-The team finds the weapon after being constantly assaulted, and destroys it.

-Miyu joins the team.

Chapter 11: Black Hole

-Fox brings up the idea of using the Black Hole to get to Venom.

-The team immediately prevents him from doing so, putting him in solitary.

-Fara breaks him out and the two take Arwings and fly through.

-The team follows close behind

-The Star Fox team arrives on the other side of the Venom blockade

Chapter 12: Venom

-Star Fox engages the main force on the surface of Venom.

-Bill and Katt make appearances again, helping the team push through

-STAR WOLF! Final engagement before Andross.

Chapter 13: Andross

-Fox blasts ahead, saying he can take Andross himself. He becomes trapped inside

-Fox finally sees how Andross as augmented himself and fights both forms.

-Fox's father arrives in a ghost form and helps him escape just before the place explodes.

Epilogue

Star Fox II: Dinosaur Planet

Prologue: Research Halted

Chapter 1: Crash and Burn

-Star Fox is sent to investigate a research team gone dark on Sauria

-Jamming signal

-Fox speeds ahead and gets lost as well as shot down

Chapter 2: Lost

-Fox roams the dinosaur planet aimlessly, encountering various creatures along the way

-Fox finds himself in a standoff with an alien vixen

Chapter 3: Krystal

-The two are in a standoff

-An unknown transport ambushes them and grabs Krystal

-Fox hops on another passing transport, knocking the occupant off and following the first one

-Fox saves Krystal and she begins to trust him, telling him more about the planet and herself

-Krystal explains the power of the Krazoa

Chapter 4: Sharpclaw

-Enter General Shears

-General Shears, a Venom War Veteran, plans to use the Krazoa to revive Andross

Chapter 5: Perception

-Fox and Krystal go to the CloudRunner village and help the locals with a plague. Fox finds the cure and they allow them to enter the temple.

-Krystal reveals that her staff can absorb Krazoa spirits.

-The two enter the temple and retrieve the spirit with minimal difficulty

Chapter 6: Combat

-The two journey to another part of Sauria, occasionally being intercepted by Sharpclaw operatives and assisted by other dinos.

-They reach the EarthWalker tribe and ask to enter their temple, but there is a problem.

-Their son Prince Tricky is nowhere to be found, so the two are sent to find him

-Fox and Krystal rescue Tricky and bring him back... With more trouble from him than the SharpClaw.

-The two pass through the temple with relative ease through their combined efforts.

Chapter 7: Fear

-This one is more challenging as, first off, they have to travel through snow. Fox's emergency kit has winter wear for the two of them, but they are forced to stop repeatedly.

-They eventually find mammoths who aide them in reaching the village, but again, there is a problem.

-The SnowHorn tribe is under scrutiny by the SharpClaw who are using them as labor to mine deep into the earth.

-Fox and Krystal eliminate the SharpClaw encampment and gain the respect of the SnowHorn.

-This temple is directly challenging as Fox and Krystal are separated. Fox experiences his fear of losing anyone else he knows specifically Fara as he sees her body floating in space, dead. Krystal, on the other hand, has an irrational fear of being completely alone.

-The two are able to find each other and help each other, Krystal saying Fox's bravery is a testament to him never letting his friends or family down. Fox says that Krystal will never be lonely because he and the team will be there for her.

Chapter 8: Strength

-The two now go to the Lightfoot and Heavyfoot tribes in another part of Sauria uninterrupted and reach the temple, but the two tribes are the ones that issue the challenge. In particular, the Heavyfoot tribe challenges him to the Test of Strength. The first time, he fails being called pathetic.

-The two spend the night in the village to try again in the morning. That night, Fox and Krystal share some dialogue, specifically where Krystal was originally from, how her staff works, as well as a bunch of stuff we already know about Fox. Krystal sort of treats him like a big brother at this point, being supportive and confident that he'll be able to beat him tomorrow.

-Which he does, but it isnt over just yet. The two now proceed into the temple where Fox has to use raw strength to raise the doors and solve other puzzles.

Chapter 9: Rescue

-Slippy finds a way to break through the jamming field and Fara goes to the surface to rescue Fox.

-Fox and Krystal are under fire from Sharpclaw troops.

-Fara rescues the two and they return to the Great Fox.

-Fara is in a mix of emotions as Fox ran off, crashed, and was with another vixen, but forgives him and agrees to teach Krystal and take her in.

-Fara, Fay, and Miyu stay behind to train Krystal.

Chapter 10: Dino Defense

-Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy intercept a Sharpclaw advance into the Cloudrunner home, saving the tribe and gaining the respect of them. In return, they help them to the final temple.

Chapter 11: Knowledge

-Krystal is in her new outfit and is fully trained. Fox, Falco, Peppy Slippy, Fara, Fay, Miyu, and Krystal all go to get the last Krazoa.

-Falco, Fay, Fara, and Peppy agree to watch the skies but are soon ambushed, being forced to deal with the bogeys.

-Slippy winds up being the most help due to his high intelligence factor and innocence and the three proceed.

-General Shears had a trap setup. He takes Krystal’s staff and evacuates his forces to Venom.

-As the temple crumbles from the bottom up, Fox almost falls to his death, but Slippy catches him and holds long enough for Cloudrunners to come and rescue them.

-The Cloudrunners come in force with the air team, preventing many SharpClaw vessels from escaping, but Shears gets away.

-Fara and Falco explain that they flew to the Cloudrunners to get their help and they agreed, tearing apart the opposition. Sadly, it wasnt in time to catch Shears.

Chapter 12: Déjà vu

-Its revealed that the Sharpclaw is a whole hidden armada

-the Cornerian fleet engages the armada as Star Fox runs the blockade and gets to the surface

-The entire team reaches the ground and pushes through to the main facility.

Chapter 13: He Who Remembers

-Fox and Krystal go down the same shaft that he went into years ago to battle Andross.

-The two fight Shears and prevent him from reviving Andross.

Epilogue

Star Fox III: Assault

Prologue: The Hive

Chapter 1: Opening Doors

-The CDF in orbit around Fortuna is trying out a new Zypher Ring Gate system, inviting Star Fox to the testing.

-The test goes well, but an alien force comes through, capturing the station and forcing them to evacuate.

Chapter 2: Hostile Invasion

-The aliens invade most of the Lylat system

-Star Fox pushes their way out of Fortuna and escapes

Chapter 3: Aparoid

-The team is asked to capture an alien alive to get more information

-After telepathic communication, Krystal discovers they are called Aparoids.

-Their mission is to infect the galaxy. Complete conquest.

Chapter 4: Katina

-Katina comes under attack.

-Bill returns and joins team Star Fox.

-Pigma steals a data core that is useful in securing information on how to defeat the Aparoids.

Chapter 5: Sargasso

-Katt makes an appearance as well, hiding out on Sargasso, which is where Star Wolf resides.

-Star Fox believes Pigma is still associated with Star Wolf. This is not true.

-Katt joins the team and Star Wolf reveals where Pigma has gone.

Chapter 6: Fichina

-Star Fox tails Pigma to Fichina and are met with a blizzard.

-NO CHANGES.

Chapter 7: Assimilation

-Pigma is traced to the Meteo asteroid belt, where Star Wolf is met again. The two teams agree to take out Pigma. Star Fox can have the core if Star Wolf gets a clean getaway.

-They find a derelict CDF ship and board it. It has been completely assimilated.

-The team finds Pigma who has been transformed into a monster.

-Algy is caught by a converted Cornerian and infected, and Wolf is forced to kill him as an act of mercy.

-They recover the core, but Star Wolf makes a modification to the deal. They agree to stick it through and through, working with Star Fox to defeat the Aparoids.

Chapter 8: The Call of the Hive

-Fox starts having nightmares, and activates the ship’s self-destruct. Krystal controls his mind temporarily to stop the countdown. Fox manages to regain control, for now.

-The Aparoids are using a directed telepathic weapon which has been obtained from a Cornerian facility on Venom.

-Star Fox members start slowly degrading, leaving Fox the only one remaining after a period of time.

-General Shears has been revived, augmented into a large beast.

-Fox kills Shears and destroys the device (BARELY) and the Star Fox team is returned to normal.

Chapter 9: Saurian Liberation

-Sauria comes under attack

-NO CHANGES but this will focus on Krystal as she will lose her cool and start becoming more enraged at the slaughter.

-Corneria comes under attack and Krystal feels she is responsible.

Chapter 10: Homecoming

-Corneria City comes under siege. The parliament is dead. General Pepper has disappeared.

-Fox is forced to combat General Pepper. He disables the ship he is fused to but Pepper is still alive (barely). His ship begins to plummet to the ground as before.

-Krystal rushes to rescue him out of guilt and does, softening the landing. Her Arwing is crashed and she is critically injured.

Chapter 11: A Window

-Krystal is in recovery and Peppy fills in her gap in the formation.

-Beltino Toad creates a self-destruct program to destroy the Aparoids.

-The Orbital Gate around Corneria is under attack, and Star Fox defends the gate with the CDF.

-The gate is secured and brought online, targeting the homeworld. The fleet enters in force and engages the enemy.

Chapter 12: Hornets’ Nest

-Krystal returns to active duty and two teams engage the hive entrance.

-The shields and defenses have been brought offline, but an emergency shield crops up, blocking all fire.

-Peppy in the Great Fox, which is slowly being infected, rams the ship into the shield, sacrificing himself.

Chapter 13: Into the Hive

-The team enters the hive, traveling down the tube.

-Nearing the end, the Queen projects images and voices of Fox’s father, trying to tell him to give up.

-Fox becomes enraged, saying James would never say a thing like that.

-Epic "Enough is Enough" speech

Chapter 14: Once More unto the Breech

-The team engages the Queen, but are easily disabled with an area of effect weapon.

-Before the Queen can infect them, Peppy, out of nowhere, charges in weapons free and gives the team time to recover.

-This is a scene where every great pilot in Star Fox history combines their efforts to bring down the threat once and for all.

Epilogue

-The team celebrates. Star Wolf escapes. Katt again peels off to her own adventures. Bill takes off to reunite with his squad. Peppy throws in the coat, for a brief minute.

-The Great Fox II is presented before the team. Peppy jumps back onboard as the ship’s operations officer nearly a second later.

-The ending is open for expansion.

Star Fox

Prologue:

Corneria: Fourth planet of the Lylat System. Home to the spacefaring Cornerian Republics. It is where a husband griefs, a friend betrays, and a scientist turns rogue. Here is where our story begins.

CORNERIA CITY CEMETARY : 3:30 AM

An anthropomorphic fox stands before a grave stone, his red fur wet by the light rain. His friend, a shorter grey furred hare, stands beside him. While the proximity of his friend and wingman and the easy pattern of the rain calms him, the heavy weight if the message on the stone before him still brought his spirits down. "Thirteen years," said the fox. "Thirteen years and still no lead."
The words on the tombstone read:
Vixy Renard McCloud
Loving wife, Caring mother
2130 -2163
The hare set a hand on his left shoulder from his side. "There's always going to evil in the world, James. But that’s why we signed on for the job. That’s why you trained Fox so well." James McCloud, the Cornerian Defense Force's best pilot, sighed in response. "You're right, Peppy." He slipped on what have become his trademark aviators. "Let's get back to work."

CORNERIAN NAVY WEAPONS TESTING :: METEO BELT : 4:00 PM

Three spacecraft in formation were flying through an opening in the asteroid belt on their way to the testing facility. James was leading the group with Peppy on his right wing. On his left was Pigma Dengar, a more experienced pilot and an asset to the team. Peppy was the younger member of the team and a longtime friend of James, acting like an uncle to his son, Fox. James was the leader, the ace pilot that was the glue of the team: The CDF's pride known as the Star Fox Squadron.

Attached to the bottom of James' fighter was a warhead. A new gravitational bomb developed by the Defense Academy's lead science director: "Dr. Andross had better have good reason for developing this weapon," said James over the comms. "The Colonel Pepper said we needed something to intimidate possible threats," said Peppy. "If you ask me, I'd say it's a power grab," said Pigma. "The government wants to flex its muscles, start scaring other planets into joining." James sighed. "Pigma, for once I'd have to disagree with you. The Republics wouldnt use a weapon if they could keep the peace with diplomacy for so many years. Somethings not right..." The three ships started slowing to a halt. "Alright. We're at the testing area. Preparing the warhead." James tapped a combination on his fighters computer dashboard, priming the weapon.
Peppy had begun receiving a communication from base as James was ready to fire. As he read it, his eyes widened. "Jim! Deactivate the warhead!" he yelled. "Say good bye, Papa!" said Pigma. James was unable to react in time as Pigma adjusted his sights and fired upon James' craft. The gravity bomb went off, creating a singularity around James' craft. He started going into a tailspin as warning lights went off left and right. "Pigma! How could you?" said a distressed Peppy over the comms. "Andross has big plans for me in his new army, and they dont include you!" He fired upon Peppy who sustained a few hits before pulling away. A fire ignited on the arm of his jacket. He grabbed the fire extinguisher from below his seat and put his arm out, before opening the coms again.
"Jim!" Peppy called out. James was still able to hear him over the comms. “Peppy! Get out of here!†he barked in response. “I’m not leaving you!†yelled Peppy as he was trying to lose Pigma. “It’s too late for me. Get yourself to safety. Tell the General what happened. And tell my son… I love him…†James was coming to terms with his inevitable fate as he looked over at a picture of his family. He was standing with his wife Vixy and his son Fox at age five. “I’m sorry, Fox…â€
“No!†Peppy yelled an anguish. James’ wing spun away and exploded in a bright fireball. A moment later, the fireball was sucked out of existence by a violent black hole, tearing apart the space around it. Alarms in Peppy’s cockpit went off as he was caught in the outer rim of the hole’s gravitational pull. He triggered the after burners to get out of the black hole’s influence and fly toward Corneria as Pigma was laughing hysterically. He was caught off guard, his laugh turning into a squeal as he pulled away from the black hole toward planet Venom.

CORNERIA CITY :: CORNERIAN DEFENSE ACADEMY : 6:00 PM

The storm on Corneria had intensified as a tall simian was attaching a device to his wrist. As he fastened it into position, it started glowing. Dr. Andross was prepared for the Cornerian Troops as they forced the door open, General Pepper following close behind as two entered the laboratory and aimed their weapons at him. General Pepper, a bloodhound, looked furious. “Andross!†Andross stayed with his back turned to him as a toothy grin showed on his face. “Yes, General? Is there a problem?†he said with an apparent act. “Give me one reason to let you live. You knew that bomb wasn’t programmed with a launch mechanism. Why?†he asked.
Andross let loose a deep intimidating chuckle. Both guards looked intrigued before he responded. “It’s quite funny actually.†He turned around, showing both hands in a pushing motion as the two guards were forced backward into the wall, Pepper looking to his men. As they were getting up, Andross used his telekinesis to shatter the window and send the glass shards toward the troops and Pepper. Pepper dove behind cover just in time, but the guards weren’t as lucky. They were eviscerated by the glass shards and killed instantly as it appeared as though Andross floated out into the storm, holding his arms out signifying his power. A fighter craft manned by a lizard soldier hovered up to allow Andross in to the passenger seat. Pepper looked up to see Andross settle in before grabbing one of the guards’ rifles to open fire as the craft pulled away. He growled as the fugitive escaped. “And so it begins...â€
In a different part of Corneria City, a young fox on the cusp of adulthood was relaxing at home, dinner on the table and everything prepared for when his dad would come home. Fox McCloud was young and full of energy, ready to enter the academy and make his father proud. He heard the door open and saw someone familiar as Peppy Hare walked in. His face lit up seeing his favorite godparent. “Uncle Peppy!†He got up and darted toward him, but noticed the expression on his face and the burn marks on his flight jacket. “W- where’s dad?†he asked. Peppy took a long look in Fox’s eyes before tearing up and turning his face away. Fox looked worried and then shook his head. “No.. He can’t. He can’t!†Tears filled the tod’s eyes as he shook his head. He broke down and fell into Peppy’s embrace. “I’m sorry, Fox…†said Peppy as he held him close. Fox sobbed into his shoulder, torn to pieces and forever damaged by the loss of his last parent.

Chapter 1: Unfortunate Son

A large freighter dusted along the sparse desert of Papetoon. It bore the symbol of the Venomian Empire and was manned by Lizard troopers.

In the bridge of the Imperial vessel, one of the Lizard troopers had encountered a daunting phenomenon on sensors. "Captain!" he hissed. The captain turned to him. "What isss it ensssign?" he asked. "Itss McCloud!"

Back outside of the ship, four hooded figures on hoverbikes were tailing the craft. The lead rider pulled up close to the starboard side of the ship as a loading door opened, revealing two troopers armed and ready. They werent ready enough though as the rider pulled his hand blaster and fired upon the troopers. He hit the one in the side of the leg, causing him to fall out. He shot the other square in the chest, the bolt of energy making a singeing sound as his flesh was burnt to a crisp.

The lead figure turned around and made a combination of hand signals. Of the three following him, two pulled over to the left as the leader and his remaining wingman pulled up close to the side of the ship. He set his controls on the bike to autopilot as he carefully stood up. Once he was close enough, he grabbed on to a handrail and hoisted himself up into the loading door.

The ship was manned by a small crew, eight at most. With that in mind, the lead figure held his hand out to the other figure. The other figure didnt grab with a hand as much as he did a set of blue feathers. He pulled him up into the ship and then turned toward the inside, readying his blaster again.

The two had begun clearing different areas, making sure to cover their backs as they progressed through the ship. The two raiders outside were keeping the bridge crew busy as they harassed the pilot. One of them grabbed a canister from his side pouch and tossed it up at the windshield. It exploded into an inky mess and coated the glass with a thick black goo. The other rider a different canister marked "Nitrogen" and tossed it the same as the other. This one was different as it exploded into a frosty mist the froze the ink and glass. Their vision was completely blocked. The two riders passed by their side view waving in a taunting fashion just before the raiders inside burst through the door to the bridge, using the element of surprise to their advantage. Before anyone had a chance to shoot, they cleared out the bridge crew of four in seconds.

The lead figure made his way to the pilots seat and took off his hood, revealing a young man of a fox. Fox McCloud. "Falco, take the controls. I'll double check the area to see if we left any stragglers," said Fox. The other figure took off his hood, revealing a blue Falcon with red feathers around his eyes. Falco Lombardi. "You got it, Boss." The two swapped places as Fox left the bridge to scout out the rest of the ship.

The two outside had tied off Fox and Falco's bikes to the freighter and tied off their own before hopping in the port side. "Comon, Slip! Youre taking too long!" said one of the figures in a familiar Southern tone. He pulled up his shorter counter part and took off his hood, revealing the enduring Peppy Hare. "Sorry, Peppy! You know my legs are too short," said the shorter one replied in a coarse yet high pitched voice. Slippy Toad, the teams engineer and vertically challenged. "Dont worry, Slippy. I know how it feels. Before you joined, I was the shortest on the team."

Fox had returned to the starboard entrance where he and Falco initially entered and found a lizard trooper still alive. He groaned as he looked up at Fox. "Who are you?" he asked weakly. Fox pressed his foot against the lizard's chest. "We're Star Fox." He pushed the lizard out of the door with his foot, hearing a long scream before a thud accompanied with a grunt. After doing a final visual inspection, he went up to the bridge to talk with the rest of the team.

"What did we find, Peppy?" asked Fox as he stepped onto the bridge. The hare turned to him with a tablet computer in his hands. He read off the list of supplies on it. "Food rations, construction pylons, energy cells, the best raid we've done since the start of the war!" he said with excitement. "This will keep the town safe and secure for another solid week and maybe more after we salvage the ship for parts," said Peppy. "Maybe we could try and build better craft with the salvage!" chimed in Slippy. "Get to work on that, Slippy, but make sure your designs will work before we test anything," replied Fox as he walked towards the helm. Falco got up from the seat and leaned against a wall. "I dont get it. Why dont we hit bigger targets? I hear theres a fancy cruise ship about to head to Corneria," he asked. Fox whipped around and barked in response, "For the last time, Falco, we are not bandits!" Falco backed away a bit, off put by the response. Fox sighed and sat back down in the pilots chair. He checked the instruments on the dashboard and reoriented the ship to home base. He leaned back in the chair as the ship altered course, staying low to the ground.

Peppy and Falco went to the back to double check the supplies. "Whats gotten into him?" asked Falco. Peppy sighed as went through the checklist. "Todays the anniversary of James's death. The day Fox's family was gone." Falco raised an eyebrow, not getting the depth of the situation. "But we're his family! Aint we?" he asked. Peppy grew irritated at his response. "Fox had his childhood cut short when his mom died. From that point forward his dad meant the world to him. When I had to tell him, it was just too much. It was even on the anniversary of his mother's death as well." Falco started getting the picture as he relaxed his tone. "I guess that could mess a guy up. Think I should apologize?" he asked. "No," said Peppy. "Just give him some time."

...

Back at the Fox Hole, Star Fox's home and secret hideout, Slippy and Peppy began work on stripping down the freighter and organizing supplies. Falco was in the flight sims practicing and contemplating.

Fox was in his room, looking at a picture of himself, James, and Vixy. The last happy moment of the McCloud family. He sighed as he thought back and got lost in memory. "Mom... Dad... I wish you were still here..." Like a child away from home, Fox was still unable to cope with the loss. Its the reason he left the CDF just after graduating from the Academy.

Speaking of which, his computer on his desk started flickering and beeping. A message had come in, but this was priority one, meaning Corneria had suffered a major disaster. He hopped off of the bed and sat at his desk, opening the message.

PLAYBACK: "We need your help, Star Fox! As you know, Andross has declared war on the Lylat System. He has invaded Corneria and our forces expect defeat within six weeks! Our army alone cant do the job. Hurry, Star Fox, wherever you are!"

A list of specifications for the mission appeared, including a folder labeled "Arwing." Fox opened the folder, smiling in reaction to what he read.

Minutes later, Fox barged out of his room to the main hangar where everyone else was. "Guys! We've got a mission! A real warfighting mission!" The other three members looked up to Fox as he hopped over the guard rail and hit the ground, sticking the landing. "General Pepper is asking for our help in repelling Andross's attacks. In return, he's giving us all new ships, perfect for taking on Andross's armies!" Falco nearly fell out if the simulators. "What?" he asked in disbelief. "Fox, how are we supposed to get to Corneria? We havent any ships that can leave the atmosphere. The freighter's no shape to fly." Fox had a cunning grin. "We're not going to fly."

...

A Cornerian cruise ship was on its way out of the last protected city on Papetoon, making its way for Corneria. Deep in it's hull was the cargo bay, filled with several pods. Knocking could be heard as one of the pods opened, letting out Fox. The other four also emerged. Peppy groaned as he got out. "When you said we're not flying, this was not what I was expecting." Fox hopped back onto the floor, waiting on the others. "Comon, Team. Our destiny awaits!" said Fox with excitement.

Chapter 2: Manifest Destiny

Fox, Falco, Slippy, and Peppy were climbing out of the cargo pods they snuck aboard in, making sure not to make any noise. As Fox started sneaking down the side of the unlit cargo bay. He started hearing something though. Something that wasnt supposed to happen on a cruise ship.

Slippy started scuffling to get up from the floor as he tumbled out of the pod. "Shhh!" Fox said. "Listen... You hear that?" The sound of laser fire could be heard faintly. "Sounds like someone's trying to take over the ship," said Peppy. "Wait..." said Fox. The laser bolts were low pitched with a high frequency as well. "Imperial weapons! Andross's goons are here, said Falco. Fox unholstered his blaster and stood up straight. "You know what to do, team. Lets kick some tail." The other three unholstered their weapons as well. Falco had a more powerful version of Fox's blaster, but it used up its energy pack faster. He was used to using a hand cannon pistol in his renegade days, so the modified blaster was a good fit. Peppy carried something similar to a shotgun. Since he his hands always shook with a rifle, he found a shotgun more useful to hit targets with. Slippy used a sort of grenade launcher that fired different projectiles. His weapon was the most impressive give that he could swap munitions instantly.

The four exited the cargo bay and were immediately greeted by laser fire from Venomian Lizard Troops. They each split into different directions, all scrambling for cover. Fox tucked himself behind a column on the right side of the wall. Falco dashed right back inside the door. Peppy made a leap for the column opposite to Fox and Slippy dived behind a pile of crates.

Fox peeked around the corner before coming under immediate fire. "Peppy! What do you see out there?" asked Fox. Peppy peeked his head over for a second, spotting seven lizard troopers before attracting fire. "Seven shock troopers! Slippy, use the high explosive!" Slippy made an unsure noise, but flicked a switch on the ammo canister of his weapon. He held the gun over his head and fired two spheres, each rebounding off of the wall and falling into the middle if the group. As they came to a stop, the two spheres exploded in a fireball, leaving nothing but scorched walls and blackened bodies.

The four finally had a chance to move up, double checking the bodies to make sure it was clear to proceed. Falco snickered. "Nice cooking, Slip. Just how I like my lizards. Hot and crispy!" Bad jokes aside, the team continued moving through the ship. Slippy finally popped the question. "Why would Imperial Troopers want this cruise ship? Its not like they knew we were on here." Peppy responded with experience. "It must mean theres a more important target onboard." "Sounds like a new client," said Falco. Fox rose his arm, signaling the team to stop as he tucked behind a door arch.

"Let go of her!" said a male voice. Fox peeked in to see a crowd of people being herded by lizard troopers. Two fennecs were being handled by them: a man and his oldest daughter. The daughter was squirming and violently trying to get out of his grasp as he pulled a gun and brought the barrel to the side of her head. "You're going to play nicely, sssweetheart, and ssso will your father, or you'll wind up with you brainsss on the wall!" A hostage situation. Fox actually knew the father well. Mr. George Phoenix, one of Space Dynamic's brightest engineers and owner of this ship. The daughter was Fara Phoenix, and her beauty exceeded Fox's expectations. A moment went by where he had to admire her looks, but that moment was relatively brief. "On my signal team," whispered Fox. The four got prepared to breech and clear. "Three, two..."

Inside, the lizard troopers still had most of the crowd at gunpoint as Mr. Phoenix was trying to get out of his captor's grasp to save his daughter. The situation changed in a blink of an eye, as the Star Fox team emerged from the door and came in guns a'blazing. Fox and Falco eliminated most of the troopers as Peppy and Slippy took one each. Slippy was using slug ammo this time to prevent civilian casualties.

Fox brought his sights on the trooper who had his hands on Fara as the trooper panicked. "Dont come any clossser! I'll kill her!" Fox remained calm as he kept his sights on him. "We don't want that," he said. "Just shoot him already!" yelled Fara as she struggled. The lizard tightened his grip. "We're leaving this ship! And if anyone follows us, she dies!" Fara had enough of this. She took a deep breath and held it in just before bring her arm up, the jabbing it into the troopers abdomen. He made a painful grunt as he was effectively stunned just before she toss him over her shoulder and swiped his blaster, shooting him dead.

Fox lowered his weapon as he was genuinely impressed. The father and daughter embraced one another as the situation diffused. "Im so glad you're alright!" said Mr. Phoenix. "I was fine, Dad. You don't have to worry about me." They turned to Fox and his crew as the crowd finally dispersed, now able to safely return to their quarters. "I don't know how to thank you for your help, Mister..." "Fox. Fox McCloud." Fara became intrigued as she heard the name McCloud. She rose an eyebrow as she cocked her head slightly to the side. "Well, I'd be happy to reward you. Anything you want, I'll be glad to give you," said Mr. Phoenix. The teams faces lit up as they heard reward. Falco grabbed Fox's shoulder and whispered in his ear. "Come on, Fox! Anything we want!" Fox brought his hand to his chin as he thought for a minute.

...

"Aw, come on! First class tickets?! You could have gotten us a moon from him!" yelled Falco as the team lounged in their first class cabin. "What use is a moon when the whole system gets taken over? Besides, something tells me we'll be earning that and much more soon enough," replied Fox as he reclined in his seat. The cruise ship continued sailing in space, on its way to Corneria.

Why is Captain Shears such a high-scale villain here? He was fine as a scuzzy lackey with an insane goal in a side-story, not a constant series Big Bad. Scales worked fine as a villain, the problem was that the "planet falling apart" thing was a nonsense result of his actions that's fixed completely by eradicating the "planet falling apart" thing and having something else draw Pepper's suspicions (like the research station thing you've already set up here).  The Aparoid Queen was a satisfactory villain when you get rid of that nonsense "stealing souls" pseudophilosophy--there is nothing wrong with the enemy being a bunch of machine-symbiotic space bugs, you don't need to randomly interject Shears there too, and actually the Aparoids being aliens is way cooler and more intriguing than just "Shears created them too I guess".

The way you've rewritten Adventures starts off alright, the way they get to the planet certainly makes more sense than LOL FOX GO TO THIS PLANET ALONE UNARMED, but the game would be ridiculously short if you structured it the way you have here. The pacing is also kind of weird and doesn't seem to follow any real story arc other than them showing up and fumbling around until they gank Shears.

One of my biggest problems is that there is pretty much no mention whatsover of the actual dinosaur part of Dinosaur Planet so I have no real sense of the story setpieces, why it has to be set there, and how the environment influences the story. Like yeah we get mention of Krystal "showing him dinosaur tribes" but that doesn't seem to effect the plot at all--even in Adventures, interacting with the various tribes was necessary to progress in the story, but here they seem to coast over everything. Introduce conflict from within the environment, don't keep throwing things from outside (ie. Venom). Having some Venomian puppetmastering is fine (trying to get Scales to find [thing] that will aide the Venomians?) but taking the actual battle to Venom is pointless when you've given us this big, sprawling, prehistoric world full of ancient secrets.

You also dedicate a story beat to changing Krystal's clothes but don't spend a single beat explaining what her staff has to do with the Krazoa, what the "Skyrunner tribe" is and why she's a part of it if she's from another planet, how she got there, or really fill in any of the plot holes that we all took issue with to begin with. Having her act as a guide for Fox is a good start but we just need a liiiittle bit more.

On a side note, what does Fara do? Slippy provides tech info, Falco is the tank, Peppy is the advice guy, so Fara needs some kind of role too. I don't know if you had one in mind, I'm just wondering.

Thanks for pointing out the typo. I wanted to use a villain that didnt get much time in the SF universe, and, well, I kinda thought Scales was disappointing. This was more of a personal decision rather than an informed one and its one I will stand by.

I do admit, inserting Shear's input into the Aparoids may have been a bad idea, but I wanted to carry the previous enemies from one to the next so I might use him as a resurrected boss instead.

Dont worry. Dinosaur Planet will have a lot more detail than whats been shown. This is just an outline of the important stuff.

About the dinosaurs, again, this is just an outline. Fox will start forming relationships with individual dinos along the way, using Krystal as a translator.

Shears will have a reason to go to Venom. I'm not sure what it is yet, but it will probably be something along the lines of having a base there hidden under their noses or not being able to move Andross's corpse.

Fara will act as Fox's conscience and moral center, mainly because the Fox I envision is a more rebellious one. When it comes to a team role, I'm open to suggestions, but a secondary team lead sounds like a good position. She has the background due to experience in the CDF (yeah, Im sort of taking liberties here). Also, I really dont see Falco as much of tank. I dont think that's the right word for him, especially since we've seen that Falco would rather fly than be even near the ground. Thats Fox's territory.

Also, Bill Grey and Katt Monroe will be getting MASSIVELY increased presences in titles I and III.

Interesting. I too was in the process of a reimagining, sorta in a Battlestar Galactica kind of way, combining the SNES and N64 storyline elements together.

'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

I felt that Adventures would be better suited as a ground based mission almost entirely much how the game already was but less...Zelda-ish, if it could be helped. I envisioned it like Turok; fighting Sharpclaws while attempting to achieve a singular objective but then embroiled into a conflict that is inevitable.

I like the change from Assault to Assimilation because it really gets the point across. Plus the Aparoids being so simular to the Borg, why not?

The Aparoids pretty much are the Borg. Im going to turn that undertone into an OVERTHEFUCKINGTOP tone with larger ships, faster assimilation, and mind probing. Im even going to have a part where Fox goes completely insane because of a long range telepathic weapon that is used on Star Fox first. This will only come into play once after they assimilate it from an outpost and use it against them, but they cannot duplicate it cause reasons (havent figured that out yet).

Also, remember that the Sharpclaw arent what they used to be anymore.

If you want to help with this project, please feel free to help write out certain areas. If you have a particular scene idea, throw it up here and I'll take a look.

This is interesting, though I did envision Lylat as a binary system since Solar is too dim to be the main source of light for the entire body of planet. That just makes more sense.

-Katt joins the team and Star Wolf reveals where Pigma has gone.

Chapter 6: Fichina

-Star Fox tails Pigma to Fichina and are met with a blizzard.

-NO CHANGES.

Chapter 7: Assimilation

-Fox kills Shears and destroys the device (BARELY) and the Star Fox team is returned to normal.

Chapter 9: Saurian Liberation

I have some ideas for SF IV but nothing Im prepared to present. This is all I'm prepared to complete.

I will DEFINITELY be writing smaller pieces as this project goes along, mainly humorous ones. They will occur between the time of Star Fox II and III so that we have the whole gang. Please list your suggestions.

To reiterate what I said before, you should go ahead and add Miyu and Fay. SInce Algy will be included, it would be the right thing to do them justice as well. But dont rush, just think about how you would want them introduced and when it would feel appropriate. Can't wait to see what comes of this.

I have the prologue elsewhere because there are still some problems with it, but here it is. Chapter one. i wrote it on my phone.
