Jeroscope
http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/1702 I'm not even kidding. Lego Cusoo is a site where Lego will take highly requested items and go out of their way to make actual sets. While this project currently has a full set of instructions and everything, it would be really nice to actually see this project come to reality. Someone decided to take the Arwing from Starfox Assault and turned it into a 3D Lego model. I don't know if you can actually buy it now, but you can support the project by backing it. You can back the project by creating an account linked to your facebook or twitter and upvote it. Once it hits a certain number of supporters, Lego will start the copyright obtainment process. If you remember, Lego has already released the Delorian Time Machine from Back to the Future with Marty and Doc action figures and has announced the Ecto 9 from Ghostbusters as well, so it is possible for them to get the rights. If this project gets enough support, we may be looking at an actual release for a Lego set. My advice? Share this link, cause there's no way this can go wrong other than just not happening at all.

Robert Monroe
At first I was all >:I at the Assault Arwing, but then I saw models for the SNES and N64 models! They look pretty sweet!

Fox McCloud 64
That's quite cool! I love Legos. I don't really like those star fox mini-figures that much but the Arwings are nicely done.
DZComposer
I imagine the percentage of ideas submitted to this site that actually make it to production is quite low.Note that rights from Nintendo would need to be secured. Though perhaps this is not as insurmountable of an obstacle as it once was given that Iwata has said Nintendo is more open to licensing deals after the investor meeting last month. That's quite cool! I love Legos. I don't really like those star fox mini-figures that much but the Arwings are nicely done.Well, you really can't make Star Fox regular mini-figures, so they're based off of these http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Legends-of-Chima-ByTheme
Jeroscope
Like I said, they did it with Back to the Future and Ghostbusters so it is possible. This process is still in the beta stages, so it will be slow.
Hope(N Forever)
Hundreds of ideas and proposals are always submitted to the LEGO CUUSOO project every month. We had witnessed so many sets based on a lot of famous franchises come and go, including many highly-acclaimed video games, let alone Nintendo's own IPs, but in the end only the executives at LEGO will have the final say based on several factors, including business ends and likelihood of sale, on which sets actually get to go through official production. The CUUSOO project is a lot like a contest really: So many will play, very few will win! In certain retrospects, it really is a contest! I really don't want to sound like a stick-in-the-mud, and as much as I would love to see an official LEGO Star Fox set, I really have very, very little faith that it will actually come to pass. That's quite cool! I love Legos. I don't really like those star fox mini-figures that much but the Arwings are nicely done. You probably needn't worry about the character models too much, as it is very unlikely the company would consider any real effort in manufacturing new plastic piece moulds for a select few pieces. A lot of these CUUSOO sets are mostly made from existing, official pieces. Non-official pieces tend to be custom-made by the entrees themselves, and usually they may not be of decent quality on an industrial scale. DZComposer: Jaded war veteran of the Starfox-Fandom *stands in attention and salutes as DZ is wheeled in, wearing uniform and all honors ribbons pinned to chest* Back on topic, I fucking love legos, and I had a fair number of my own arwings that I keep telling myself I'm going to post to the internet at some point, so seeing these come to fruition would make my fucking LIFE

Gestalt
So if the product reaches achieved then it is actually considered, and worst case senario if you get there... First and foremost, congratulations to [person] for gaining so many supporters for this very well done concept on LEGO CUUSOO. The work you have put into the concepts for potential LEGO renditions of [concept] figures and playsets is outstanding. We know [concept] is very popular, and these concepts would make great products. Our team has done our due diligence. Since the property is owned by [company] we've decided it’s neither a brand fit nor a strategic fit for the LEGO Group to pursue a [concept] license, and so we will not consider [concept] projects on LEGO CUUSOO further. We see how enthusiastic and hopeful [concept] fans are at the possibility of a LEGO line and are sorry to be the bearers of this disappointing news.Since LEGO CUUSOO opens us to new product suggestions, naturally people will suggest concepts that aren’t a strategic fit. We are grateful for the spirit behind projects like the [concept] project. It keeps us sharp and looking toward the future of the LEGO brick. Robert Monroe
Honestly, aside from the minifigs and the Starfox decals (though those are amazing, especially the figures), the models look quite easy to make from regular parts. We should just bug the guy who designed the models for instructions and you can make your own.

Memory serves, Lego has a program online that lets you build anything you want and order the parts and instructions for it
DZComposer
Ok, this is most likely not happening. Nintendo already has a licensing deal for Lego-like constructable toys with K'nex:http://www.knex.com/products/super-mario/http://www.knex.com/products/mario-kart-wii/Such deals usually include an exclusivity clause.
