What do you do when you're angry?

I'm just asking when you are hot with anger, how do you deal with? Go outside, walk the dog, watch your favorite movie? Snuggle with gf or bf? What do you do when you are angry and need to calm down?

With me I think of a basket of kittens and or watch them on youtube.

I literally don't get angry. I have never been to the point where some action was needed to be done or that point or rage. I can be irritated or upset, and when that happens I make a joke and laugh it off but I do not truly get angry.

I agree - I can't remember a time in recent memory in which I could say without a doubt that I was angry.  "Bothered" maybe, but I don't have all that much to blow off steam about.

A quick trip to Google Images and a "puppies" search clears any discontent up, however. :-)

I envision all the things I want do with my rage.

Last time I envisioned one day having a room in my house filled entirely with dinner plates and a sledgehammer. I would call it my steam room (as in my Let-off-steam-because-I-am-fucking-furious room).

I yell at people

I walk around with a scowl on my face

I aggressively do whatever it is I'm doing at the time

I kick doors open

I punch walls (sprained my wrist twice)

I play video games to vent

I internalize my rage whenever I cant do the above things so that It may one day boil over and cause me to kill someone *looks at Executor *

All in all, avoid me like the plague when I'm pissed... or approach me cautiously with chocolate

Most usually talking to people about things completely unrelated to whichever bad experience I had, and otherwise finding something else to concentrate on. Anything that makes me forget the whole bad hour/day/week/month behind really. o3o

If my computer annoys me (read = p****s me off), then I tend to do this:

Most amazing video I have ever seen. ;_;

When I'm angry though? I'm one of those people that needs to be left alone for a few moments. I go completely silent and I just want space to myself until I feel like I can talk to a person without the negative influence.

Mostly though, I get angry for a few moments then I just get sad and cry. I cry when I'm angry, when I'm upset, when I'm happy, whenever.

I remember we all called you ScourgeRage instead of ScourgeClaw at one point. In hindsight, RageClaw would have been a little bit better but you can't blame past SF-O for being young and foolish.

I don't get very angry all that often, but when I do, I just try to get away from people. 30 minutes later everything's usually good.

Try to get some work done, play a game, or watch a TV show. When you're mad about something trivial, just getting your mind to work on something else fixes that problem pretty quickly.

The absolute worst thing you can ever do is punch walls.  I broke my hand on a wall when I was angry a few years ago.  I shattered the the entire right side of my hand, and the pinky and ring fingers are now a bit disfigured because of how they healed.  When I told a friend of mine what happened, he said "What'd you do that for?  The wall obviously didn't care that you hit it, and you walked away with nothing but a broken hand."  There's seriously nothing to gain from it, and unfortunately, I had to learn that the hard way.

I usually go out with either my bow or my airsoft gun and shoot things.  I'll set up cans or targets for my airsoft gun and go to town.  Playing airsoft also helps, but that's not always possible when you're just plain angry.  I sometimes listen to angry music too, or I'll just yell at everyone that pisses me off while I'm in the car.  I have very bad road rage, but as long as nobody can actually hear me, I see no harm in it.  I'm pretty good at controlling it when other people are in the car with me.

I hit the gym, nothing pushes you harder than anger. Plus, afterwards you feel so much better that you put your anger forwards a good cause.

I really only expel my anger on a Bimonthly basis. I let it all build and then rage for about 20 minutes. I feel fantastic afterwards, but when i need to speed calm down, i throw this on.

Overtime i've learned to keep on about my biz..

when I was really bad at dealing with my feelings, I would build pressure up in my head (approaching kill someone angry) to the point where it gave me a bad rash and headache there afterwards. All in the name of keeping my composure.

I rant out-loud even though no one will answer, I'll think about how stupid whatever it is that is making me angry, probably *ahem* find a way to relax and juts feel bad and tired after the anger has passed. then I'll turn back to normal after a bit.

I usually play whatever the most visceral game I have on hand, stew, rant about it to my girlfriend, or go and do something physical. Fresh air always helps too.

I don't tend to stay angry. What anger I do have burns hot and fast. Fortunately I'm relatively level-headed and it takes a lot to get my goat.

I usually sing out loud whatever song comes to mind....preferably when nobody is home. It always makes me happy again, and is also effective as a stress-reliever for me.
