:D I know how you feel Beau, there is so much in AC that you can miss crucial events if you're not careful! If you don't like collect-em-ups though, then forget this one, as there's so much to find. Gotta have a GBA/SP to get the full benefit though.

I'm not sure which to go with

Nintendo DS

The $140 Nintendo DS has some really good upcoming games and has the ability to play all of the old gameboy games(regular, color, pocket, advance) which I already have, and the whole dual-screen where one is a touch screen is so cool

Sony PSP

The $240 Sony PSP is a brand start for sony's hand held gaming technology. The PSP looks a whole lot cooler that the DS, but the price is just way too much. I'm not going to wait ten year for it to go down to like 190, while the(I'm just making this up..it's not real)Sony PSI or something like that is dominating.

Now that I think about it, a PSI(whatever that would stand for) sound like a pretty cool thing.

I'm very undecisive about these things

I figure I'll just buy both of them. I can play a few new games on the DS, and some of my "Game boy" games. I'm mostly buy PSP game though. All the games for the DS are based on the touch screen and that is going to get old really fast.

still undecided, but who can deny Wipeout Pure? ANTIGRAV RACING ROCKS! And now it's handheld!

It really doesn't matter to me. I already have a DS, and I'm saving up for a PSP.

In the end, it's the games that matter, not the system.

Two things to note:

1: The memory sticks will be much less expensive to large companies ordering 1000's of them direct from the [chip] maker's

2: All LCD devices can suffer dead pixels. Some companies are just more strict on the amount of dead pixels on a screen that is going to be shipped out.

I would go for the DS because it folds shut to protect screens and I am rough in transit with my electrical portables :3 The PSP would be dead quickly. Nintendo has a history of making tough systems [such as the rumors of drop testing console's from 10 story buildings]

The PSP seems to have an almost Lexan like covering over the actual screen. Its not an exposed screen, its got fairly strong plastic over it, protecting it.

Plastic scratches rather easily unfortunatly. So a real cover suits me better. Even if they did use polycarbonate [thats what the Lexan brand actually is] on the screen, it could still scratch.

I'm sure some one would come out with a good cover for the PSP at some point. But I have never been very interested in the Playstation line other then a few games.

Exactly why I'm hesitant on getting the Psp, for fear the screen will get messed up... hope they do come out with a good cover... I'm usually careful, but then... there's those times that it just jumps from your hand (you know what I mean)

Same with me... not too interested with many of the Playstation line of games... but am REALLY into racing (especially into antigravity racing) and the PSP has Wipeout Pure (antigrav!), Gran Turismo 4, Ridge Racer, and will probably have others... and the graphics are GREAT on there! the DS's graphics are good, but probably could've been better...

agreed about the graphics, though I stick with the DS for my own reasons

I think the touch screen technology will be quite a hit.

^^ They're going overboard with it. That's all they're basing the games on. Touch this, touch that. That's it!

The only negative side I see about the touch screen is if you damage it in any way, you can't play any of the games very well or at all. The demos one at my Wal-mart is really crappy, probibly from little kids pressing to hard on the screen.

You can by screen protectors, but I agree with KITT.

I have a psp. It has superior graphics, but sony has been neglecting it. It has like 5 games out while the ds has like 20!

yeah... that game is the bomb... speaking of sonic... i just found a problem in one of the cutsceens in SA2B, when Robotnik/Eggman tricks Sonic and shoots him into space on Hero Side, it shows a close shot of him holding the fake Chaos Emerald, Tails's voice saying how it has the same wavelength and properties, IF you look down at the bottom of the capsule, there's a piece of the Master Emerald!! And didn't Knuckles just complete it too after fighting Rouge?!?...
