Vy'drach
I am not familiar with how Tumblr works but could that not also fall under adult content?
Arashikage
Tumblr tends to be blocked by school networks due to adult content, but most of the blogs are safe. I'd assume one wouldn't link their SFO account to a pornographic tumblr, largely because I like to have faith that nobody's that dumb. It's a clear violation of the rules, so I'm guessing that it's one of those "Seriously, don't be a dumbass" things.
Redeemer
I am not familiar with how Tumblr works but could that not also fall under adult content? Tumblr has its own rules where things that are NSFW are required to be labelled as such, and therefore content is controlled quite well. I think it's safe enough. Also DZ can we please please please have a deviantArt link option?
DZComposer
Hmm... I'll have to think about Tumblr more, then. I put it there because many of our members have accounts there. Also, don't put the full URL in the field. Just put your username. I have added this to the descriptions for clarity. Also, I have added a "Character Bio" textarea to the "Character Info" section.
Hidi
Executor complains of this on his profile, but how come nobody has asked for a Gmail field?
Gestalt
Giving out email, for me, is on a selective case by case basis.. Also, DA may be something to consider. Also, don't put the full URL in the field. Just put your username. I have added this to the descriptions for clarity. For clarity, it's your custom id. If you change this you must also change it in your profile feild steamcommunity.com/id/LordGestalt/ steamcommunity.com/id/ >> [LordGestalt] << / Mine would be LordGestalt. While my login name is [REDACTED], and my profile name is ksfetch only my id, LordGestalt, links correctly.
Hidi
Hey DZ, is it just me, or is it a little awkward having the 'Youtube Channel' field box right above the personal text? I think it looks a little crammed in there, because I remember when the Nintendo Network text showed up beside people's posts, it was under the personal text and location, seeming a little cleaner. DZComposer
Oops. That wasn't even supposed to show on posts. Fixed. As far as g-mail, there already is an e-mail address field. I'd rather not add Google+ accounts for the same reasons as Facebook.
The Shaper
This message is misleading. The profile links will only follow URL's so if you link your username it'll either take you to a broken page or to someone elses account.
Gestalt
I concur, a large number of current/new users are[were] doing it wrong. This greatly afflicts my mental health. Even if it is minute, my nights are often troubled by these horrors
Hidi
Simple explanation: My steam custom id is lchidi. In the profile field, I type in lchidi.
DZComposer
OK, so how do I explain Steam URLs in a few words? At some point people just need to learn to check their links.
The Shaper
OK, so how do I explain Steam URLs in a few words? At some point people just need to learn to check their links. Sites like Steamsignature ask for custom URL's. So something like "Enter your custom URL" would be fine. Most people who have Steam and wish to link it should already know what those are, and even if they don't, it's more accurate than the current message. Dr. Orange
I mean it's there but it's unseen to the public. What if I'm away and Scourge needs me? What happens if something is un-Zimbabwe'd?
