I'll admit that I never thought they'd actually do this ! But they got my money !

 

And they better effing fix mightyena for once this time !

I want to run it like I did in emerald and wreck crap with it, unlike in newer post gen3 games with their silly physical/special split from pokemon types !

I have always wanted a Hoenn remake! I am happy that these are going to be released, but I am kind of sad about it right now as well (the ruby name in particular).

To keep a long story short, when they announced these games, they also threatened to file a lawsuit against a fan made RPG that I have been apart of for the last three years due to it having a similar name (Pokemon Omega), so it is now closing.

 

I am bummed about that right now, but I am also glad that their are Hoenn remakes coming.

The Horn is not French, it is German.

Anyway, listening to some of that music on Youtube... I think the same sample set was used in Star Fox Command. The Pokemon composer used Vibrato on the horn sound. That is something rare for Horn. Unless you're in Central Europe. They love the vibrato horn there.

Yep, I know that, but people all call it french anyways XD

 

And yes, the same horn samples seems to have been used in command.

 

And the composers for pokemon always do a lot of weird things ! Probably given the samples on the GBA have a terribly low sample rate.

 

But, then there's the Pokemon XD soundtrack which is even weirder, but in a good way !

And the composer from those games also remade some of the best tracks from the RSE games.

 

And here's an original track that came with the game. It has this weird country vibe or something to it, like most of the Coliseum an XD soundtrack:

I just hope the remakes will continue the story like Black & White 2 did.

 

I couldn't get into Heartgold and Soulsilver even though both games had some cool stuff...Maybe because Crystal was my first pokemon game.

 

And I hope the remakes won't have a giant ocean full on tentacool.
