General Pepper
“I’ve been known for saying I want to work on Star Fox, but the tendency for this to spread and people constantly pestering me with questions, like ‘How would you do this? How would you do that?’ … Quite frankly, I’ve decided I don’t want to work on Star Fox anymore.†Hmm... Sounds to me that he just wants to get fans off his back. Rumor has it that Star Fox U will be the surprise grand finale this upcoming E3 Nintendo Direct. Thoughts?

Drasiana
There are seven billion E3 leaks out and there's a 99.9% chance of them all being fake. Don't read too much into it unless one is actually announced at E3, at which point then we can go "Oh, Kamiya, you sly dog you!"

Still, I find this one holds truth to it for some reason. After all, there has never been more than a 5 year gap between Star Fox games.

Chrono Reaper
It would be a damn good happy accident that Star Fox WiiU was announced even if that picture is a hoax. Honestly I'm not going to hold my breath, Miyamoto says he likes Star Fox, yet he releases 2 or 3 Zelda/Mario titles in between each star fox release. I don't believe he has any intention pulling money into developing the next Star Fox game especially when their compnay has to get themeselves out of this hole they got in with their unsuccessful sales that is the WiiU. Drasiana
I have an embarrassing amount of Star Fox merchandise in my garage. If there's a new game announcement, expect some awful, nerdy selfies.
Scott7
It'd be a little uncommon for a guy like him to go back on his word. As much as I'd 'love' to see another shot at a starfox game happening, I'd sooner trust a Parrot then supposed documents. Still, for the benefit of the doubt; I'll have a webcam going for the duration of the direct when It's released. Also.. Chrono, what the fack are you doing back here? Haven't seen you In frickin' ages, man.

Star Fox has either higher sales than or close enough sales to so many of Nintendo's series (see Metroid). If SF's sales are low enough to write off the series than you can go ahead and write off Metroid, Pikmin, etc. Hell, nobody in Pikmin 3's development team should have even considered making another Pikmin game after how the earlier Pikmin games did. I dont think they are in a position to make a new Star Fox game period. The WiiU has only sold but a third of their 9 million units and are hoping to push marketing with Mario Kart 8 to motivate sales. From what I understand, a Star Fox WiiU still remains reclusive. If I'm wrong and we see any sign of a Star Fox game in Nintendo's E3 2014 Keynote.... I WILL EAT MY OWN HAIR.

From what I understand, a Star Fox WiiU still remains reclusive. This "The Wii U isn't selling so we're not going to make games for it" mentality is not only out-of-line with what Nintendo has said, it is also not a strategy to turn the Wii U's sales around. Remember: Sega did that with the Saturn and it is one of the reasons why the Dreamcast didn't sell well. The Wii U is struggling because it has been pegged with that "It has no games" stigma. The answer to the system's woes isn't making Mario and Zelda games every year. It's leveraging Nintendo's entire IP cache to bring a diverse library to the console and then getting the word out about said library. This doesn't mean I expect a Wii U Star Fox game at E3, but I wouldn't peg it as an impossibility.

Not an impossibility at all, but not likely this year. It's not something I will be holding my breath on.
Star Fox Runner
I've given up hope of Kamiya ever making a Star Fox game. However, I am still hoping against hope that Retro Studios end up working on a Star Fox game, but that's more of the Retro fanboy in me talking than anything else. But seriously, it's been 8 years since we've had a brand spankin new Star Fox game. It took em that long to release Metroid Prime and Fusion after Super Metroid, so I'd say we're due. Chrono Reaper
I love Star Fox to death, it just hurts me to see such neglect on a widely acclaimed video game reflecting on a positive (albeit very frustrated) fan base. Because of this, I'm starting to outgrow my faith on Nintendo.
Drasiana
a positive (albeit very frustrated) fan base. Dude Star Fox has the most negative fanbase I have ever encountered this side of Supernatural. Half of us just sit there like a slug making biweekly posts detailing how they feel personally victimized by Nintendo for not making a new Star Fox RIGHT NOW and that it's all part of some conspiracy to hatebang the hope out of us TRUE LOYAL FANS. It's insane, inane, and tiresome. Meanwhile, the rest of the planet is like "oh hey Star Fox was cool, I hope Nintendo makes a new one soon". Because the only people who think Star Fox is TRULY DEAD AND FORGOTTEN FOREVER are goddamn Star Fox fans. Look at Half-Life 3 or The Last Guardian or Beyond Good and Evil 2. It doesn't matter how good the game is or how much support it has, sometimes that shit just does not get off the ground, and those reasons often have shit-all to do with the fanbase or some secret conspiracy against the product itself. If a new game is announced in the coming week I will be a massive smuglord, and if one isn't, I will personally pour tuna in the sock drawer of every person that comes in whining about how it's proof that Nintendo Actually Hates Us. Chrono Reaper
Maybe I sugar coated my last post a tad too much. I just didn't want to assume everyone was negative. I know developer company can't please an entire community.
Drasiana
Not EVERYONE is negative but man, these past couple months it's like every topic here eventually routes back to doomsday rhetoric. Calm down friends we are talking about space fox video games.
Chrono Reaper
I honestly gave up to where I won't hold my breath. I'm too busy making video games of my own to start any new threads on why Nintendo should make a Star Fox game.
