My first drawing.

The Raging Space Cookie

Recommended Posts

As you can read in the title, this is my first "real" drawings.

I haven't got a good tool or editor, but I used my scanner.

I used an online editor so the quality isn't so good.

The picture is of a fox(haven't named him) that is late, so he's running, and he's yelling at someone who is in his way.

The picture is pretty small, so click on it and the full size appears.

I will post some more pictures down below

Did you do this with pencils and so on or a art program?

The whole head is not to bad, I like what you did with his eyes. Arms are placed nicely, as are the legs. You should practice on drawing fingers a bit, I bet you wouldn't be to bad at it if you tried.

Oh, don't forget to equal out the clothes when you draw. I noticed that one short leg is a bit longer then the other. That or I'm just crazy from tiredness.

Otherwise, your picture seems pretty good for a first timer.

For your first drawing, this is pretty darn good. If you want to not use an online editor I recommend GIMP, it's good for beginners and you can sharpen your talent there.

Keep it up, you've made a great start!

First I drawn it with pencils, then I scanned it into my computer and used the pencil version as a template. I then drawn the whole picture again but in the editor and then I coloured it.

The original version has better lines because I drawn the coloured version with my pc's mouse.

If you want, I could upload the original.

The whole thing reminds me of disco, and I find it hilarious in the best possible way.

With that said, do some practice drawings of static, full body poses in different positions and at different angles. It's a really great first effort, and you could be really talented with practice. This website is a great reference tool, and any "how to draw" book can give you basic proportions to learn. I learned a lot from books before I actually had a single life drawing class.

Should have added a s in "drawing" in the thread title.

Here's my second "real" drawing. I think this one is going to be my new profile picture.

The picture is about Xavier, the main character of a new story thing I'm working on.

On the left side, it's normal Xavier and on the right side, it's Xavier's dark side.

As you can see, Xavier's fur colour changes to grey when he becomes 'Dark Xavier', and his markings changes colour to blue, witch indicates traces of normal Xavier.

Please leave suggestions and tips on what I can improve, I still have much to work on.

You need to click on the image to see the full size.

Here are two sketches I made.
I didn't use any references for the second, and the quality isn't so good.
Please leave some critique!

Actually,

You keep that up.

I would suggest focusing on building anatomy with shapes. Maybe google some chart/diagrams for reference.

This is REALLY good!

Like so good it makes this awesome statement seem tiny compared to the awesome of the drawing.

Glad you like it, because I hate it! I made it a long while ago, and I don't think I drew good at all back then, that's why I hate it...

The picture at the bottom is the latest, and I'm drawing a background for it.
