So There's Going to be a Ratchet and Clank Movie... (2016)

It appears as if my other topic on this subject disappeared. Oh well; at this year's E3 more footage was shown off from the movie. I must say that Ratchet's character model is greatly improved. I look forward to seeing this in theaters! :D

I couldn't agree with you more. According to Sony's E3 conference it will be accompanied by a remake of the original Ratchet and Clank on PS4. I'm not sure how exactly the remake will differ from the original, however.

I have no other words for this, but an actual movie fully based on a game. Watching this after playing all the games would be some sort of honor.

Thank you Sony for reminding me that I haven't completed Ratchet and Clank: Deadlocked yet. Thank you very damn much.

But still, this looks awesome. Can't wait to see it! :D

The film was pushed back to a 2016 release, but it's shaping up to look great.  Take a look at the newest trailer, released yesterday, for example.  I believe that it's now airing as a preview in theaters.

The animation looks great, and they improved Ratchet's model immensely from the original trailer, and even from the second trailer posted in the OP of this thread.  I can't wait! :P

Don't they realise that game movies almost always fail?

Keyword is "almost". I think it looks okay from the trailers and I won't really be judging this one movie because other game movies weren't good. Besides, it looks alright to me, I think, given the premise.

I dunno about the series itself, never had the opportunity to play the games, but I do see a lot of sci-fi references and similarities hidden from the trailers. Who knows-- I might just get interested enough in the series with that.
