Redeemer
Hey guys! I think it's time to address a small issue we have here that's slowly growing, and I'd like to ask you all to work together and maybe try and nip it in the bud. Recently, many topics in the forums have been getting derailed, spammed and trolled with memes, reaction images, and generally nonconstructive content. I'd like to ask you all to hold back with your posts if they contain nothing that is relevant to the topic. No fingers are being pointed, we've all gotten carried away with jokes and laughs, but SFO is slowly becoming filled with more memes than real content, and that really isn't good for the site, the community and the Starfox fandom as a whole. We're the biggest Starfox community online and as such, we should try and keep up our image. So, please keep this in mind when you're about to post something. I'd also like to mention something that's becoming a very relevant problem. In the introduction topics from our new members, there's been a lot of spam and derailing. Although it's all in jest, you need to look at it through the eyes of the new member. Here on SFO we have people who are really good friends and share some inside jokes and so on, and that's totally cool. But for someone who's not used to that, to make a topic and then see all this madness, it's really discouraging. As a result, we haven't really gained many new and active members, despite the announcement of Starfox WiiU. So in regards to new members and their "hello" topics, please keep your message sweet and welcoming and without any nonsense or warning them of member A, or how crazy member B is or anything like that. If you see a topic getting derailed, or a new member being swarmed with inside jokes, or anything that makes you think "huh this is too much", please PM me, or a member of staff of your choice, or submit a report. It's really important that we start acting together. It would really bring in a bit of fresh air and I am aware that some people are already unsatisfied with the quality of post content. So, long story short, please try and keep your posts relevant, ease up on the memes and reaction images, and be a bit more welcoming and less terrifying for new members. If anyone has any questions or wants to discuss this notice, feel free to PM me. ALSO: I'd like to take this chance to ask members to please MAKE USE OF THE REPORT FUNCTION. Please report posts that are spam, flaming, debating, etc. so that we can act as soon as possible! Thanks!
LoneWolf
Definitely get what you're saying. We've been completely caustic towards new members, probably because we're not ready to let others in to our tight knit community. Perhaps we just feel threatened overall by the eventual change of the face of SF-O. Who knows. Or maybe we're just a bunch of jerks that somehow get along and are jerks together. But yeah, upping the quality of my posts before this place becomes 4Chan.

Ori
If anything I've kept to regarding myself as the odd end, I think, but I understand what you mean. The heads-up is useful though. (Though now that I come think of it, the issue I have to personally address is my deathly lack of significant presence in the community... .3.) Dr. Orange
I'm a guy who likes a good joke now and then. And granted I do a lot of "funposting" and I should curve that. We need to stop with the inside jokes on the Welcome and use more Starfox jokes or funny things that everyone can get on first glance. And remember guies: Reaction and >mfw pics are used to express a certain reaction, not to reply to posts. need some text with 'em too. But with all this can we still send new members to PM Crazy constantly?
CrypticQuery
Guilty as charged. I'll be a bit more mindful in the future. Executor, I'd be insulted if you didn't. xD

Vy'drach
at the very least, come up with some higher-quality inside jokes We have inside jokes? All I'm familiar with is calling people Sabre as an insult. That being said, I do need to curb it with reaction images, just guess I'm too used to imgur where I spend a good portion of time too, and have 236 reaction images uploaded. Redeemer
Just a friendly reminder: So in regards to new members and their "hello" topics, please keep your message sweet and welcoming and without any nonsense or warning them of member A, or how crazy member B is or anything like that. Been seeing some verbal diarrhea from a few people in the latest welcoming topics. Put a diaper on it please.
