Assault's by far, with this song in particular being my favorite track in the whole game.

And wonderfully enough, its the first level's song.

Now THAT's a dramatic way to start a game. Its fast, yet threatening, as if you're constantly having to dodge incoming attacks while doing really well on a large space battleground filled with incoming enemies, all bursting into a poof of fire as you swiftly shoot and move past them. It has a strong combination of brass instruments and stringed instruments pushing the main theme of it while the drums in the background kept up a tense beat. I love it.

I also rather liked the music that played on Sauria, although its not as dramatic.

This is a hard one for me. I haven't voted yet because I've kinda been procrastinating actually comparing the games musics.

Starfox and Starfox 64 I don't remember much of

Starfox adventures I remember quite well and like it

Starfox assault is good but I don't know how much is original or remixed DX

So how do I find out? By listening to the soundtracks again :D

So after listening to both sound tracks, I like assaults more. Now to go take a looksie at starfox SNES and adventures.

SNES- Upbeat and cool. I like it.

Starfox 2- Upbeat and cool (Also sounds a bit ahead of its time)

N64- Allot of band like music (Like drums and stuff. Has its variety which is nice too)

Adventures- Heavily themed based on the area and also a bit tribal based.

Assault- Orchestra, and alot of it. I like it.

Command- ... ... ... ... ... ... ...!!! !!! !!! !!! !!! !!! FINE!

So after an ear raping later... Is what I wanna say but actually... It wasn't that bad. Don't get me wrong, they all add this very annoying instrument in it, but if you ignore that background tone, it's actually quite nice.

So which has it best? Well... It's still hard to decide. It's not like the games have too similar of sound tracks and they each aim for something different. I guess on a very technical standpoint it would be adventures due to its variety and the music fits the in game areas quite perfectly. But on the other hand, I quite enjoyed starfox 2 soundtrack (And it did feel ahead of its time so that could be a plus... Or a minus if you think that going above what you're given means you don't know how to make due with what you've got)

They all have their thing. I guess i'll have to go by what I would listen to my free time over the others. my least favorite would be command due to its annoying background tones, starfox 64 would be the second I don't go to because it's not really my personal style of music. Adventures is too area specific. Starfox 2 is trying to go above SNES limitations it sounds like.

Soooo SNES vs assault... Upbeat, or the orchestrated vs upbeat and cool...

SNES has that classic retro feel to it which makes me want to vote for that even know I'm more likely to listen to Assault DX

I... Can't decide DX Meaning I can't vote yet.
