Hope(N Forever) Posted September 4, 2014 Share Posted September 4, 2014 If you had thought the Fox McCloud-based costume included in Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition was weird, you have not seen anything yet. Nintendo has aired a new Direct on September 4, and this Direct was made specifically for the upcoming Platinum-developed Wii U exclusive game Bayonetta 2. If you have not heard already, at E3 2014 Nintendo confirmed that not only is the first Bayonetta game coming to Wii U, but the port has been modified to include Crossover Costumes, where the titular character Bayonetta will have the option to don various outfits based on different Nintendo characters. Originally, only three of these costumes were revealed, based on Princess Peach, Link, and Samus Aran. During the Bayonetta 2 Direct, however, it was confirmed that the Crossover Costumes are not just featured in the port of the first game, but also in the sequel, and the best part is the confirmation of additional costumes, including one called Star Mercenary, based on Fox McCloud! That's one foxy easter egg right there, as you can see below in the screenshot from the Direct. It even comes with a wagging tail, and also Bayonetta's guns will be fashioned after Arwings, which can now shoot with a signature target-lock reticule. Bayonetta 2, alongside the Wii U port of Bayonetta, will be released in North America and Europe on October 24. Europe will receive two limited edition bundles at launch as well.
