In case you don't get it, the German word for National Socialism is Nationalsozialismus, or "Nazi" for short.

Today's #1 comic on /r/polandball is right in the feels. Yes, it's long, but worth it.

^ Credit where credit's due, that was one helluva read.  It had better character development than some films out now, ha.

This is some classic Polandball humor here.

I just had a realization. I've learned more about world history, world politics, world geography, and language from reading Polandball comics than I ever learned in school.

For example, before I discovered Polandball, if you said "Eritrea" to me, I wouldn't know what that is. Now I know it is an East African country that had a very violent revolution where lots of people were needlessly slaughtered. And I know that because Polandball.

Been a while since we had a good Reichtangle comic in this thread.

Also, Totally. Not. French. Totes. I swear.

In case you live under a rock, the Statute of Liberty was a gift to the US from France.

Today is Poland's National Day. One Under's comic also makes a good segue into this one:

Also, this news story immediately makes me think of Polandball. Surely someone will make a comic based on it? Sorry, France. Wine is Haram.

I did not see that ending coming, and now the downstairs neighbors are probably wondering where the hell that random laughing burst came from.

You deserve points for having the vertically-largest post in this thread, Orbi.

A few pages back I posed a "Seasons of Canada" comic.

That inspired me to make this "Seasons of Texas" comic:

9PnxyTX.png

In case you're wondering, the Speed Limit sign serves two purposes. First that Texas drivers like to drive fast. Second, that the fastest speed limit in the US is TX130 between Austin and Seguin, at 85 MPH. Also, everyone in Texas drives a pickup truck whether they need one or not.

Also, all the crap that grows out in the gulf tends to wash-up on Texas beaches, hence the gross seaweed line and Arkansas' grumbling. As for Germany, it's a stereotype that Germans dig big holes when they're on beach holiday. It's pretty much a requirement for every comic that has a beach scene to feature Germany digging a hole.

Shiner Bock is Texas in a beer bottle.

You pretty much hit all of the necessary points in that one, DZ.  Gotta love those insanely-Texan 85MPH posted limits.  I got a kick out of the inclusion of the Northeastern accent as well, paired with some black/roadway ice to boot.  (If you've ever driven here after the winter season, the amount of potholes is insane.)

I actually live near that road. It's pretty damn scary, actually. Half the people are going 85-90, the other half are going 60-65.

Road ice is about the worst we get in most of Texas, though in the northern part of the state they have to deal with some snow, but not much. Nobody can handle it, even though we get road ice every year.

Other than some evasive maneuvers and a hope that you were driving at a low enough speed to combat loss of control, I'm convinced that there aren't many ways to deal with road ice that you can't see until the very last moment.  Most of the non-highways around here get plowed regularly with the aid of a colossal amount of salt (with the unfortunate detractor of prematurely rusting most cars), but, depending upon the snowfall totals, cars will still be immobilized.

I've had the pleasure of taking a few highways down toward the southeastern US before, and the speeds at which some other vehicles blow by never ceases to amaze me.
