Arminius H O Fiddywinks
Hey guys, do you think there's any room for me in this RP?
Clearwater
Well, we have one more spot available, so I don't see any reason why Star wouldn't give you the green light.
Arminius H O Fiddywinks
So, should I PM him or just wait for his blessing?
Star_Dragon
Sorry for the delay. Downloading 7GB of data is hard enough to do with Satellite internet. Harder still is to do so with storms blowing through EVERY OTHER DAY.Anyway, Arminius, you do have a green light; just find a way to introduce yourself. I'd recommend you start as one of the refugees we lifted from Virnat. Or as someone we meet where we're going (Romulan Republic Flotilla in the Tau Dewa sector block). But that's really up to you.--SDPS: Also, Arminius, please post a character profile either here or in the presentation thread (or just link or quote the profile here, if you already have the profile in your characters' thread) before you post. Arminius H O Fiddywinks
Here's the page for my 4 RP characters. Should I use just one or several of them?
CrypticQuery
One is usually good to start out with since you are generally able to more effectively balance their personality/traits with the events occurring in the RP. I'll be posting in the near future, sorry about the delay. Finals are kicking my ass, ha.

CrypticQuery
If you can make them distinct enough from one another, then whatever floats your boat. Edited May 17, 2015 by OneUnder
Arminius H O Fiddywinks
Alright, Star, here's the basic specs of the RSS Szabla. Now, I'm not an expert in starships, so I apologize if they're a little exaggerated or underwhelming. It is a Ruthenian Star-Class battle cruiser, the heaviest cruiser in the Ruthenian Military. It is approximately 3000 meters long and 1200 meters wide (3 meters = 10 feet). The shields can withstand energy weapons as powerful as 100 terajoules (the atomic bomb that leveled Hiroshima in 1945 released about 63 terajoules of energy). The main phaser battery, located on the front of the ship, has the total power of one petajoule (the Tsar Bomba, the largest man-made nuclear bomb detonated, released one petajoule of energy). Along the sides run a total of 14 weaker phaser batteries, 7 on each side. Each battery has 75 terajoules of energy. The Szabla is also packing photon torpedoes, a total of 300: each packed with one gram of antimatter (a gram of antimatter annihilating a gram of normal matter will release 180 terajoules of energy). The average size of a corridor in the Szabla is a little over 3 meters tall. The power source of the ship is the same as most other warp-capable starships: nuclear fusion for sub-light speed travel, and antimatter/matter combinations for warp travel. Ruthenian transporter technology is also on par with most other civilization that are privy to the technology, although most Ruthenians don't trust in transporters, deny using them on religious bases, or would simply prefer more traditional methods of travel, and as a result, there is only one transporter pad on the Szabla. The Szabla carried a crew of 2000, as well as an additional 1500 passengers, although because of its decommission by the Ruthenian Empire, that crew number has been reduced to a grand total of 5. Clearwater
*sigh* I'm telling you, whatever that engineer did to the master server at school, he messed up bad. It took me HALF AN HOUR to get to this topic here and post this reply to tell you about the bad 'Net problem here. Stay tuned and I'll see if it gets fixed at any point. Star_Dragon
So, Clearwater... want to bring in a new character, eh? Personally, I don't mind, seeing as it's your second character in this RP, but from what I've gathered on Sal's friend, he's somewhat of a militant, isn't he? Either way, I am willing to offer him a ship of his own (the story of which he acquired it being quite simple), which would also make it a lot easier for me to introduce him into the RP (unless you have an idea of your own). The choice is yours, and if interested, I can go into detail on the ships available. Interested?

XDThe best and simplest idea for me would be to have Sal run into Spector (The name of the guy I want to bring in) with the latter already serving on one of the ships currently in this RP. I'll post a full character profile this Saturday, I'm kinda backed up on studying and such right now. Not to mention slow Internet, for goodness sake... Star_Dragon
And you were hoping... I see. Well, I can have him either serving on the Retribution's Thunder or a ship that joins them, or you can ask Arminius and see if you can slide Spector in serving on Bohdan's ship. Will that work for you?
Clearwater
I... think I'll have Spector serving on the Retribution's Thunder. That way, you could perhaps have Tovan mention someone wantingto see Sal after hearing that the latter was on board. Here's Spector's character bio, I found the time to be able to think it up last night after studying:Name: Spector ''Spec" CachoeiraAge: 21Species: Anthromorphic Military Macaw: LINKSex: MaleHomeplanet: EarthHeight: 1m 56 cmAppearance: Mainly light green body with long body feathers and tips of a darker green on the tips of his wings. Small tuft of red fur resting just above his beak. Hazel brown eyes, and medium-length legs and talons.Clothing: Wears a brown and white shawl on his body to keep him warm. Head feathers are medium-length.Personality: While a keen explorer, Spector is actually a lot better when it comes to tactical thinking and planning, a fact he refuses to admit, despite it being true. Spector is also kind of withdrawn and shy, speaking only to the people he's most comfortable with.
CrypticQuery
(You might have to ask Star in the discussion thread. Also OneUnder, I have a message from Star that he sent to me through Steam:It's hard to post when the reply form will not load. And if he (OneUnder) tells you about clearing the cache, tell him that I've done that and it does NOTHING. It's either a problem with the site, or a problem with my internet, neither of which I can do anything about right now. Also, I apologize for not having posted at all this week, but in case you missed my status update on Monday, me and my reallife friends have been dealing with some truly, TRULY devastating events.)I thought I'd reply to this in the discussion thread so as not to clutter the actual RP. It seems to be loading fine on my end, though I have had issues with the reply box not popping up occasionally. Usually a few refreshes of the page fixes the problem. Maybe a different browser could work? If not, try deleting all of SF-O's cookies stored in your browser and re-login.
Star_Dragon
If you all are reading this, I have been able to post with this reply form three consecutive times with no difficulty. For some reason, SFO loads better on Google Chrome than Firefox, which is my main browser. OneUnder... do you know anything that the site seems to have against Firefox users? OneUnder... do you know anything that the site seems to have against Firefox users?Your guess is as good as mine on this one. I use Firefox and I've only had the reply box fail to load a handful of times. I'm glad that you've found what looks to be a band-aid solution to the issue for now though. Maybe you should start a thread up in SFO Stuff about the reply box not popping up. Include as many details as you deem to be relevant to the problem. DZ will likely be able to shed more light on what may be causing the issue than I can. Edited June 20, 2015 by OneUnder
Star_Dragon
Very well. If I remember to, I will do so when I get back from work - but no promises. Today's Father's Day, and father's day tends to be busy where I work.

Clearwater
As much as it pains me to ask this, are we effectively dead in the water yet again concerning Predator and Prey? Well, seeing as I have to now ask to drop out because of my upcoming Exodus, I'm scared to say it's possible. I'm sorry.
