Vy'drach
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/x-men-spinoff-deadpool-gets-734172 Seems the leaked test footage and fan reaction made them pull the movie out of development hell and actually work on it.
CrypticQuery
That's actually pretty awesome. Now I've got a release schedule to look forward to. Scott7
Please don't be PG-13 or under...please don't be PG-13 or under.... I wouldn't be surprised If the search for a rating would be the underlying cause of the movie being in development hell for so long. Most of the Marvel movies have been rather broad when it comes to age groups, so trying to make a movie about a spontaneous, foul-mouthed, Merc who could get back up from being chopped up into a million pieces kind of Anti-hero; there's bound to be a few walls that need to be climbed over. An R-rating would be what a movie like Deadpool to best targeted for, but the idea of an R-rated Marvel film on it's own is bound to have some risks. tl;dr: The big bad company's worried Deadpool wouldn't make enough money If only the grown-ups went to see it. StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
And yet funny enough, I did a quick search on the web and found that Deadpool first made an appearance in 1991. An R rating would be the perfect way to market the film imo, it fits the age group of original fans quite nicely as well as the slightly younger audience. LazerMaster5
I dunno, I can see both ways. Deadpool did have a comic series with Cable and that was rated T+. On the other end, Deadpool Max comics also exist. I have read both types. I say it is possible to do a PG-13 Deadpool film, as long as it does not dilute Deadpool's character. hoo
Why didn't the pirate go to the Deadpool movie? 'Cause it was rated R.
LazerMaster5
No matter the rating, this movie better have chimichangas galore.
