DZComposer
EDIT: Crap, I'm on-call. No camping for me. EDIT #2: It appears that this is just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt until we know for sure. I'll be near a Toyr "R" Us tomorrow, so I'll check into it. EDIT #3: the one near me opens at 11AM on Sundays so I may be able to camp after all! I hope this is true. It won't be the mad rush that gamestop was. College students (who sucked the local Gamestops dry) don't go to Toys "R" Us often. I remember that I got my GCN the day after launch at one. DZComposer
I stopped by Toys "R" Us this morning and spoke with the VG Manager. Basically, he pulled a "White House Press Secretary" and neither confirmed nor denied the date. He claims he never heard this date, but he says he thinks they will do preorders. But he said doesn't know (or he just won't tell me) the date. The way he said this made me suspect he was holding back some information. I'll call up there this weekend and see if I can't get something concrete.

Lilacs
I talked to the head man a my local target, he said that Nintendo is telling them that there will be enough Wii's for everone. So in short words looks like I will be camping out at launch day, good thing I'm a Boy scout! I haven't been to Toy "R" Us yet, but I did get a look at there magazine, it has a whole page talking Wii. I'll try to get some pic's up tomorrow. Sol-Ratcht Saporro
^Yeah, the pic was in that go Nintendo blog thing too. (It was just a wee bit small for me) I'm going to reserve this at the Toys R Us that's across the county. Luckly, it ain't that far. It's this Sunday if I'm not mistaken. Oh boy! Can't wait! FireFox516
Actually, a friend and I are going to go and check this out Sunday morning to see if this is true. If not, it looks like staying out 'till midnight outside BestBuy is still the plan...
DZComposer
Okay, the Toys R us near me has 7 Wiis for tomorrow's pre-order. They're also taking PS3 pre orders tomorrow. I checked this evening at 6:00PM CDT, and there were already campers (though it was one group that came together, 3 for PS3 (which is all they have, BTW) and 2 for Wii). The store opens at 11:00AM CDT Sunday. hopefully they'll be the only ones. Unfortunately, I am on-call this weekend so I couldn't camp (45 min. drive). Even if I do get there in time to get one tomorrow, I may lose it if I get called. My Boss is quitting and that bumped me to being on-call on the 19th too. Hopefully, if I can't get it tomorrow, I will be able to switch weeks with someone so I can camp if need be.... *sigh* Being a network tech at a 24/7/365 facility has it's downsides. ONE_HELLCAT
This is absolutely amazing. I called my local one and there are already 6 campers, they don't know what the max preorders will be though. I most certainly hope it's more than 6, like my backstabbing Game Crazy. Those lying sons of...nevermind.
DZComposer
Failure again. 7 Wiis, 8 in line. :D
Sol-Ratcht Saporro
You know, the wierd thing is that my local Toys R Us started preorders before today. I went over there Friday and the ticket stubs for the Wii were right there in the display case right at the entrance. I was like "Huh? I thought it was on Sunday...." The suck part about it is I didn't have the 50 on me and the store was closing..... The next day I found out the hard way....All the Wii presales were sold out. I'll guess I'll be camping out. Oh the agony.....
HavikFox
i haven't been to ToysRUS for quiet some time. Looks like I'll have to track back, but I'm sure other game stores are reserving it as well. All I know is, I'd better reserve one because they are going to sell fast. It's going to be the most poplulare system among the media. Atleast, that's what I have found.

ONE_HELLCAT
Target's more like it for me. Numbers may be less, but most the people in my area go to church and it's a Sunday morning launch. Perfect.

What's up with that? You too? Damn, it's a setup I tells ya.....D: You know, the Wii being on a Sunday and all is going to make a lot of gamers miss out on church in my neck of the woods. Someone's not going to be a happy camper and I think we all know who I'm talking about But, I'm just mad because, I was at the right place and the right time but I didn't have the money.
