With Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix out in Japan and Kingdom III on the way, I think its high time to talk Kingdom Hearts.

First off, now that 2.5 is out in Japan, the soundtrack is being put on Youtube now, so now people can hear II's tracks done by a wonderful orchestra, and some of it is pretty amazing.

Speaking of which, its been announced that the soundtracks for 1.5 and 2.5 are finally getting an official release by Square Enix.

Kingdom Hearts III is now being developed using Unreal Engine 4.

Nomura has expressed interest in creating an HD remake of Dream Drop Distance:

And finally, Tetsuya Nomura, the series director, turned 44 on the 8th of this month.

 

So yeah. Lot of news recently.

Not really sure what to make of KHIII being on Unreal Engine 4. I tend to like Square's own works, though hopefully everything will turn out well.

But man, am I loving the music of 2.5. So excited for it to come out.

Oh god, the Ost is even greater then I expected. They even sound like they gave Birth by sleep an update, and the quality for it's soundtrack was pretty damn impressive as it was. I can't wait to pick it up for myself.

 

 

Also, Kh3 on UE4? That I wasn't expecting. It's hard to really imagine Kh on that kind of engine.

I remember when me and my friend 100%ed KH2.

 

I got kingdom hearts 1.5 and I decided "I 100%ed 2 and birth by sleep, 1 shouldn't be too bad" so I went on normal... WELL I chose sword and shield (Which is not a good combo in this game) AND it turns out its the hardest KH game in the series... I CANNOT beat the last boss (the form after the giant guy) not because I'm not good enough or level, but because I have a curse where my games are harder than they should be when I play them (Like in a castlevania fighting game the last boss just teleported away, put down hex's, and shot fire balls, then my friend shows up and the last boss doesn't teleport at all and basically LETS me friend beat him...

 

And I HATE level grinding in games, its why I'm not a big fan of RPG's. (Even know I did get max levels in KH2 and 1 or 2 characters in birth by sleep)

 

 

But people are angry with square. Japan got this ultimate edition where 2.5 comes with 1.5, and all this other cool stuff while americans get a pin.

 

 

But I can't wait to get 2.5. 2 of my favorite KH games in one package? Of course I'll get it. (Though I wish 1.5 had 358 as the game and chain of memories as the movie. Chain of memories feels more like a movie anyway)

I remember seeing the original trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 Square Enix showed at E3 2013n when the game was
confirmed it was now in development. So much as I'm looking forward to this, I don't have a PS4 or an Xbox One,
god damn it...

But anyway, I think we should talk about what kind of levels we'll be seeing in this new game. Any suggestions?
I know that Twilight Town from KH2 will be coming back, as well as the Destiny Islands. Personally, I'd like to
see a Narnia level, or some more Pirates Of The Caribbean levels. Disney should even chime back to the old, original
Disney cartoons of the 30's and 40's. Anyone remember The Old Mill? ...No...? Didn't think so.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to this. When I reached 12 and my blockage on PEGI 12+ titles was raised, Kingdom
Hearts was the first PEGI 12+ game I snapped up. And I LOVED it. I hope it'll be the same when I eventually get
my hands on a PS4 or Xbox One and I get this game in the future.

As much as I hate to admit it there is probably definitely going to be a Frozen world. Pixar's fair game now too so I can easily see Toy Story and Brave making the cut, and Cars will probably show up in some form whether that's a summons or actual world I don't know. Disney levels I've always hoped for are for The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Treasure Planet, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and a runthrough of Beauty and the Beast that involves the movie's actual plot. Pick either The Rescuers or The Great Mouse Detective for your designated mouse levels.

In all seriousness I liked Atlantica in KHII.

 

As far as worlds are concerned, the only new thing I can think of that I'd like to see is a Star Wars level. That should be a possibility now what with Disney's ownership of it, right? It'd be cool to get a lightsaber Keyblade and follow along in a sort of similar plot with the original trilogy. Live action things shouldn't be an issue as far as clashing is concerned now that Pirates of the Caribbean made it into II. Perhaps if we go outside of Disney, I'd like to somehow see Final Fantasy XII characters be incorporated into the game. VII, VIII, and X all got representation...A Shibuya world might be fun now that The World Ends with You characters have made their way into KH.

 

And of course I'd definitely love to see a return of the Lion King world and Pirates of the Caribbean world.

Oh, I didn't play Dream Drop Distance. A Fantasia stage sounds pretty cool, actually. KH2's Atlantica just scarred me for life.

 And this game looks soooooooooooo gooooooodddd!!!!!!!!!!! It looks super open world too. Like that part where Sora jumped off the cliff to go to another part of the map???? Almost makes me think that the areas aren't seperated, but all loaded into one map.

The way he says that line just gets me PUMPED!!!!!!!! Everything looks super fluid and amazing in this game. People are complaining that Sora looks too OP. But lets look at his health for a moment, if I remember right (Or if its like older KH games), that's quite a ways into the game, and he may have been in lower level areas during the trailer.

Those chess pieces represent each of the characters. I wonder if how the game goes has anything to do with what's going to happen.

Also Kingdom Hearts 2.8 was announced! It'll have a short one world game called 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage, the entirety of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance in HD, and a new short movie going over the events of [chi].
