Introducing SF-O Blogs

DZComposer

Recommended Posts

You may have noticed a new item on the main nav menu: Blogs!

SF-O now has a full-fledged blogging engine for you to use! You can use it to post your art (you can pair it with your artist gallery), your stories, or just any random musings you wish to blog about.

To create a blog, click "create blog" on the blogs page.

Also, please do not allow guests to post to your blogs. I am looking for a way to disable that globally, but don't do it. You'll be inviting spambots into the community if you do, which may lead to your blog getting shut-down.

Oops, You can do it from the main blogs page. That option will show when you actually have a blog you can access.

You may consider adding a "Recent Blog Entry" box on the community page. Folks started using status updates properly once one was up.

The title of the last five entries should be displayed -- meaning if it interests me I'll take a peek. If it doesn't I don't have to waste my time. (just like recent topics)

Also those boxes are collapsible so everybody wins.

That will probably have to wait until IPB 4.

Hey DZ, they've been giving me and Steve both this error when clicking the "Blog" tab:

Fatal error: Call to a member function blogIndexPage() on a non-object in /home/sfoadmin/starfox-online.net/admin/applications_addon/ips/blog/modules_public/display/list.php on line 607

Seems to only be broken if you're using the IPB default theme. I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, it works with CorneriaStar.

EDIT: Default theme should be fixed now.
