Does SSB4 connect you to the nearest (distance wise) online player first?
Okay, so I've been playing some Smash Bros. 4 recently, and I keep running into a guy named "John" on online matches. I do happen to know a kid named Johnathan around here who playes Smash on his 3DS quite a bit. When I first talked to him, he says he plays Little Mac most of the time during matches. The other day I started up a 1 on 1 match online, and my opponent was a guy called "John." The first guy he sent out was Little Mac, then later on, Link. (He also happens to be a Legend of Zelda nerd as well.) As time goes on, I meet him more and more frequently, and he plays with the same characters. I don't have his friend code or anything, so I can't be sure it's him. I've googled this question and haven't found any kind of answer of the sort.
Could SSB4 be connecting you to the nearest online player, or could it just be a lot of Johns playing the same character?
