Who Knows
So earlier today i beat star fox 64 on my Wii After not touching it for ages i got lucky on it for a return run and i am disappointed that after my perilous journey of going through Sector Y to Katina to Solar to Macbeth and Area 6 The great and mighty General Pepper only awards the team that worked above and beyond the call of honor to save the Lylat system from Andross A measly 55 thousand dollars No wonder in Adventures they are broke So What was the highest Paycheck our fair general handed to you in SF 64 or 3D
CrypticQuery
When you consider inflation, 1997's $55,000 comes out to approximately 2014's $81,568.
Who Knows
Indeed but the General is cheap as i sacrificed Slippy Peppy Falco to Star Wolf to Save his Job
LazerMaster5
You know, for a day's work, that's not bad.
Who Knows
lol i totally forgot to mention the pay is even worse because they have to split it 4 ways between Falco Slippy Peppy and Fox since they are a mercenary group You know, for a day's work, that's not bad. Was Star fox 64 story wise finished in a day?
Pharaoh Shadon
I don't even remember what I got DX Although the whole pay check thing is weird in the starfox series. saving the lylat system from Andross got them a low amount, yet saving dinosour planet got them enough to re-do the great fox, upgrade the Arwings with new sleek designs (Along with the landmaster) and give them new armors and a bunch of other stuff. And then in assault/command, apparently saving the entire universe from the aparoids BARELY gets you enough to buy a stripped Cornarian assault carrier. Because you know, the universe isn't as important as the lylat system.
Joseph.
It would be nice if you could actually spend that money in the game. For example, you could buy extra lives, bombs before starting a mission, or buy new ships (Wolfen/2, Cornerian Fighter, Etc. ) I got Star Fox 64 for the 3DS and let me tell you how much the developers slacked off.... They could had done something special but they literally just added updated graphics and new voice acting.

I don't recall many HD makeovers that changes/adds things to a game other than zelda remakes, and even those are minor (Mainly in making things faster)
Who Knows
Yeah HD remakes don't change much if anything it all And congrats Corporal

InfinitySquared
Well, it's $64 per hit. Geddit?
DZComposer
We don't know anything about the value of Lylat currency. Sure, it seems low when compared to US Dollars, but for all we know one Lylat dollar could equal 100 US dollars or .001 US Cents. And when I say we don't know anything, we don't know anything. We never see anything get purchased or for what amount other than the services of the SF team at $64/hit. No clue what $64 Lylat Dollars buys other than Fox shooting down one weak enemy. NickFox
Thas something you should be able to do in future games ' spend some of that cash, by like upgrading the great fx or have each member of the team update their chambers. krystals could have her staff and tribal outfit, Katts a biker helmet, a set of new outfits and a picture of her former gang, and there could be more games in the rec room, or more music in the jukebox. things like that. InfinitySquared
It could be that Starfox is just one of many mercenaries hired by Pepper (because maybe soldiers would cost too much??), and they just happened to be the ones that killed Andross. Assuming General Pepper is just flat out cheap, they get paid a normal amount and a pat on the back.
