geoprimedonna
Guys, what songs remind you of Starfox? Put a link (no, not Link) to the song that reminds you about the series.
Patch93
Luke's theme in Star Wars reminds me of the first ten notes of the main melody in SF1, with the franchise's main theme reminding me of the rest of the notes in SF1's melody.

"> The After Burner theme sounds almost identical to Corneria:
Patch93
Port Town's theme from F-Zero has a striking resemblence to Eladard's music from Star Fox 2, particularly in the beginning. (Of course, both games were scored by Yumiko Kanki, so go figure.)
fanfictiondreamer
Did this song sound kind of like that music heard inside the Great Fox in the beginning of Starfox Adventures?
Drasiana
Edguy's Rocket Ride, because rockets I guess Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi makes me think of the good ol' space outlaw days and I'm a nerd The Turisas cover of Supernaut, because it's really upbeat and vaguely about space Iron Maiden's Aces High, because fighter pilots and some dude animated a really cool Star Fox video to it a while ago but I can't find it again Collective Soul's Crown was on my rp blog for Andrew for a while. For headcanony reasons, I suppose. More upbeat sci fi funtimes with The Nexus by Amaranthe Diablo Swing Orchestra's Poetic Pitbull Revolutions... Star Wolf, much? I think I'll spit up some more here once I remember what they are.
geoprimedonna
R. Kelly's The World's Greatest sounds like something that should be played after completing any Starfox game. As for Harry Chapin's Star tripper, I think it would be Fox's reflections to his space battles.
LazerMaster5
Iron Maiden's Aces High You got me there, m8. Up the irons! I tend to listen to metal while playing, so I present to you a song that is great for tense moments. And another: I admit it, I'm a fan of A7X. Then again, I like all kinds of metal. Snys93
This would have made a good life theme for Fox Mcloud: A chase scene/lengthy boss battle: Huge space battle: Dinosaur Planet, walking across the Saurian plains:
geoprimedonna
Came back to revive this thread. This song reminds me of Fox and James' relationship.

Patch93
Venom's theme in SF64, despite it being composed by Hajime Wakai rather than Koji Kondo, sounds quite a bit like the Dark World theme in LttP:
valkiriforce
For some reason since I was around 5 years old the part at 3:49 in this song always reminded me of the first Star Fox on the SNES.
CrypticQuery
Space Race, by Billy Preston, is an interesting one. Though admittedly it sounds more like it would be at home on a Sega Genesis.
InfinitySquared
Sorta tangentally, I think this would make a killer soundtrack to a planet exploding, like the end of Assault. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC3cZ-7-IoI I'd always associated the pipe organ more with space than the orchestra. The orchestra's all well and good (if a bit cliché THANKS JOHN WILLIAMS!), but the organ just sounds more...alienish to me. Infinity: Surprised you didn't post this one instead.... That works too. A lot of the retro-futuristic stuff he did fits nicely, methinks.

Patch93
For some reason since I was around 5 years old the part at 3:49 in this song always reminded me of the first Star Fox on the SNES. Reminds me more of LttP, in fact THAT IS THE SAME SYNTH THE VIOLIN SAMPLE IS BASED OFF OF! XD Also Yamaha DX7 FTW.
Patch93
Sorry for double posting, but I really want to find out the synthesizers some of SNES Star Fox's instrument samples were made with. I know the rock rhythm guitar sample came from Roland's U-10/20 series of Rompler modules. (Capcom used it too in their games.)
Ori
Whatever the reason, an odd bunch makes me think of SF when I listen: James Mills' take into the theme song of FTL makes me think of SF as a series in general. Not anything or anyone specific in it, just the thing as a whole. For a character whose I know absolutely little more than name, gender and role, Fara Phoenix comes to mind when listening to this track. No, it doesn't make much sense at all, and no, you can't argue me out of it. e3e Obligatory Keiki Kobayashi mention. Introductory / early chapter battle scenes, starship assault scenes (preferably in-atmosphere). It brings SF to mind more prominently after the introduction of the track.
