Hidi
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've made any wholesome post around here, but whatever. Let's try something...As a couple of you might already know, I am forming my own TF2 9v9 (Highlander) competitive team. To support the team's matches and scrims (practice matches), I will be purchasing my own server. The server will be located in Kansas and be around 22 slots. The bundle will include a Mumble, though I don't know how useful that will be for you guys.So what am I getting at?Well, on days when my team does not scrim, (Likely weeknights) would you be interested in having game nights? I can set up a pub config to use on pub days, and we can cater it to how we want things. But it's a way for us to get back into TF2.What do y'all say?

LazerMaster5
Ever since the LoP server dieded, I have been looking for a new server to reside on. As long as people are actually on when I want to play, I'm game.
russiandog38
Yes! I would gladly play on it.
Hidi
I got the server! I don't know how many maps I'm going to be able to store on it, so for now I'm keeping custom maps to ones that I must have installed for UGC. (Competitive maps are good though!)My server config is pretty basic right now, and the only other configs installed are UGC configs, so currently, its best function is playing lobbies. Scott7
Configs aren't really all that difficult to set up. As long as you know the commands, you can have one set up and ready in a couple minutes. Usually most common ones are explained pretty easily in a default server .cfg next to the line one is currently listed. Maps are a bit of a different story, but at pretty straightforward as well. If you need help with something, feel free to ask. I have a server of my own saved up with a complete list of configurations you could use for reference. Monokuma
Ah, I kinda missed the TF2 nights somewhat. If you don't mind me joining from time to time, it'll give me a chance to improve my class skills, and hopefully get a good running game, given my hardware. As always, i'll expect myself to be a terrible medic being pummeled by a 'Socialist Manifesto' following a psycho-heavy Scourge.

I'm contemplating installing ETF2L and ESEA ones at some point, but those can wait. What I was hoping to do was put together a bunch of commands to put in a single config for pubbing that I can turn off when I am using it for competitive stuff. So, with UGC's configs, they come with their sets, then ugc_off.cfg which removes the UGC configs and re-execs server.cfg
Clearwater
I'd be interested in playing some Highlander, seeing how I'm starting to practice it with my friends at school. But, I have time zones to compete with AGAIN. But if I catch enough of you online at the same time as me, then I'm game. Also, expect me to whip out my Degreaser, which I have renamed 'The Mumbling Man's Marshmallow Melter'.
Hidi
I'd be interested in playing some Highlander, seeing how I'm starting to practice it with my friends at school. The idea was more that I get a config set up that I can run and open up the server to you guys on days when my team is not using it. Now, if you guys would be interested in competitive pick-up games (PUGs), I do have configs and a Mumble for that. We don't have to do Highlander, but Highlander is the easiest to understand, Sixes the most complicated, and Fours the most casual.I am hosting scrims regularly on the server now, but we're not sure a definite scrim time yet. Certainly no Mondays, as that is the match day. Also keep in mind should a match need to be rescheduled and I am the home team, that takes priority over a pub night.
