I use ARWizard 3.7 to record high quality sound. It has never failed me. After I record them I convert the wav files (you can also save them as mp3 but i do wav so i can cut unesseary segments) I open up Musicmatch 7.2 to convert them into 128 kbps mp3 files.

Remember those start sounds you were having trouble with Dash?

I just found a whole set of Assault mp3s that DON'T HAVE THEM. AND THE SAURIA BGM IS IN THERE.

All of the songs are perfect quality, and even the StarWolf theme doesn't have the start sound!

On this page, scroll down and click which StarFox game you want the music from, they're on the left hand column in the middle section.

http://www.classicgaming.com/vgtunes/index_files/gamelist.htm

Then on the resulting page, scroll all the way down to the bottom and go to the right side. There you'll find 2 buttons, Track List and Download Songs. Track list is obvious what it does, it just tells you which songs they have available. Download songs takes you to FilePlanet, where you need to have registered to be able to download there. Just set up some account and set it to always log you in when you log onto the page, and then you can download them.

Have fun. :)

Nice find XG. BUT I have to say that just doesn't sound right. They cut off the very beginning part of almost every mp3 in there that's why you don't hear the start sound. They are good quality but they're too short. If I had an audio editing program (which I will get soon) I would put that fade effect at the end. I bet whoever made these recorded them as well but he/she cut off the beginning and it just doesn't sound right :. There is a way to remove that start sound, but I need to get that program first.

Indeed. I tried my hand at removing the sounds. I did the Aparoid City vs mode theme (it's my favorite). I got it to sound normal without the announcer and added a fade out at the end. Because I didn't record it long enough, the song doesn't quite make it to two full revolutions of the looping song.

Results:

The program I used to edit the song was the incredibly easy, powerful, and free Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

P.S.- Thanks for the great music!

Hey guys! Out of all the SF: Assault Music cuts that Dashter and DZComposer have I noticed that the Mission Accomplished theme wasn't there (from SF64) so I compiled this thanks to ACID. It's rough in a couple spots but I think it turned out well considering my LIMITED resources. Maybe Dash or DZ can make a better version out of this.

Keep in mind that this link Im posting is only good for 7 days so get it while you can. Enjoy!

Oh, and making threats to the admins is a REAL good way to get banned.
