Star Fox story

I dont know how to start...

1 Do guys think that maybe Nintendo is going to consider "Shadows of Lylat" as part of the story?

2 If the future games will take place in the 8 lost years of star fox, do you think that maybe the story is going to be rewritten?

(that means that SFAd wont exist anymore) Remember that in the SF magazine its told that Fox is unemployed all that time (except  for the story told there)

3 If other games take place after Command, Is fox going to be the main character or marcus? (just to say one of the many endings)

I honestly dont want to see Fox McCloud replaced by a blue fox.

There are many things to discuss about the SF story put here other points that must be consider in the next games

I am a member of the Shadows of Lylat development team (I am one of the composers). Shadows of Lylat is NOT part of the story. In fact, some elements of SoL's story could potentially be inconsistent with the canon story.

I repeat: Shadows of Lylat is NOT CANON.

Imamura, the creator of most of the canon SF story, has stated that the story ends with command. He said that future games will start "in the middle." Whether that means in the middle of SFC (which doesn't make sense to me) or that there will be prequels.

You know that that's not exactly true after he clarified himself later on. There could potentially be games in the timeline after the final boss of one or a few of those endings.

Actually, he never did clarify himself; Dylan Cuthbert thought that it would start from the middle of SFC, but, afterall, he doesn't control the SF storyline, Imamura does.

This storyline' date=' ends here, and if there's a continuation it would start from the middle, so it wouldn't depend on any of the endings.[/quote']

There was a guy on the Nintendo Nsider forums who emailed him and asked him to clarify, and he did. He said that the story could potentially continue after the final boss, but before the ending scenes (if there were any time inbetween), such as between the time Fox beat the Emperor, and he and Krystal having their son for instance.

Edit:

Ah I see what you were saying. Well, all I can say is that they both worked hand in hand and that nothing is ever what is expected. People who work for Nintendo have said things about storylines before and then changed them. As long as there's money to be made, they'll keep making new Star Fox games. While it's fun to have theories about what will happen next, let's all try to stay cool about the fact that no-one (not even the producers at this time) know what will happen yet. It's all opinion.

And I'd like to see Krystal having a baby, not IN the delivery room, but as a story element.

Yes, like I want to see Krystal having a baby.

Lets hope the story takes place in the middle of those 8 lost years, I would like to see if it follows the comic book or not.

Yep, he and I have discussed the very thing.

Yeah, I just wish he would have kept his mouth closed; it only generates speculation. Ahh well.

I don't want to see Krystal having a baby, especially by marrying Fox....Panther maybe *what an interesting child that would be). Fox needs to stay single; he's just not to type to marry.

I know Shadows of lylat is not Canon, but how many times have you seen someone making a game? Nintendo should give you all credits for those efforts, and INCLUDE your game as part of the story.

Off topic:  By the way, I wonder if you have seen the video: Star Fox Hero. There are cutscenes with a render of the arwing and Fox when it was a project, I have seen the videos of DaBrain and in my opinion his job has got better graphics than Star Fox Assault, but thas just me. I want to say that I confused the project SFA video with SOL.

^ What? Do you have a link, maybe? Sounds interesting.

Well, since SoL technically infringes on Nintendo's trade mark, I would much rather Nintendo NOT know about it considering any thanks Ninty might give us for our effords might be a C&D letter, and if Ninty gets pissed enough at us, I am the one who has the most stuff they can go after with my remixes, though I doubt that would happen. Nintendo plays amateur VG remixes in their Ney York store.

While it is slightly superior to SFAs's graphics, to get that detail requires a fast PC.

All SoL videos can be downloaded from the forums at game-warden.com.

Let's not forget that SoL is a mod. I've played SoL, and let me warn you that there are some serious controll differences. It doesn't feel as much like a Star Fox game. At this point it still feels like Freespace2. It's more "realistic."

apparently it's not out yet:

When is it coming out?

It will be done when it is done. We're doing this in our own and for zero money, so that's the best we can give you.

That being said, we hope for finishing a demo by January 2007.
