Putting A Gif In Your Signature or as Your Avatar

Yeah, how do you put a gif in your signature or as your avatar?

 

I know that a lot of you have done that and have a gif in those places. Monokuma told me that size had something to do with it...

You can put a GIF in your signature the same way that you put an image in it.  Find a GIF that you like or upload a GIF onto an image sharing site (e.g. photobucket), and use its direct link (the one ending in .gif) to add it to your signature as you would add an image to a post.  To get to the signature setup page, click on your username on the top right of the page.  Choose My Settings from the dropdown menu, and then click on the signature tab.

 

I'm still not entirely sure how avatar GIFs work, but I believe that the forum software only tolerates a certain size before it refuses to allow them to animate.
