Xortberg
He came to the community, effectively a total newbie because none of us at all know him, and made a post. Kay, looking good so far. Other people posted dissenting opinions and explained their POV. Great, let's keep this up! Aaaaand then he started getting pissy and acting like an ass. Golden rule, reap what you sow, etc etc. It basically boils down to talk shit, get hit. Acting like an ass itself isn't a bannable offense. Making one of your first acts in the community "Act like a douche and insult the admin" is a bit closer to the line, I'd say. Just a wee bit. EDIT: Weee, look at me. I'm the first post on both new pages.
CrypticQuery
"You post bullshit, we insult you." Noooooooooooo a MODERATORS job is to prevent stuff like that. If a moderator partakes in that instead of stopping it, then one must question why they are a moderator in the first place. I thought it would be relatively clear that the image was meant to be tongue-in-cheek (most notably due to the TL;DR bit at the top), especially considering that no such insults followed the image and instead a more diplomatic approach was taken in terms of feedback. I guess it wasn't clear enough. I will now refer you to Xort's above post for further insight into the community reaction's rationale, as it is well stated. Was there potential for a good discussion? Yes. Is generally being an ass about how other people present their opinions (i.e. by basically saying that they were the personification of everything wrong with the Star Fox series and saying that they've made an incredibly stupid statement that is, and I quote, "disprooved by your own existance") a good idea? No.

No. So, we agree that Pie Man made a mistake? Because I believe that we should at least give him a chance to APOLOGIZE. Unless, you know, he still wants to act like a moronic d-bag. Then we shall verbally smite him into oblivion.
