Breaking News! Fox Confirmed In Brawl!

At the begining of Metroid Prime Samus loses here powerups, it's the same deal they use every time, plus the suit is what makes here powerful, that means she's less powerful now, but I've found that in SSB it's not about power it's about speed blocking and lots of jumping(unless your a Ganondorf player), this making her "evenly matched" against the other characters or not. Personally I found the SSBM Samus to be way under-powered and pretty much useless (exepting the kicks of course), I didn't think it was a bad idea I do like it... but not for fan based reasons...

Sorry about going off-topic again, but I must bring this up. Samus is one of the Top Tier characters in Melee. She's about fifth or sixth, I believe. She was very under-powered in the original Smash Bros. game, though.

About Fox's Brawl look:

I hate it. I absolutely abhor his face. It sickens me to see such a great character in Melee become so ugly because of the DS's graphical disability. I'm disappointed that they chose a DS game over a console, and I'm disgusted to see him having an awkward posterior. I do not think any woman would find Fox's rump attracting, but that's just me assuming that no woman would care about a man's posterior. And sorry if I got out-of-hands.

Even though she's my favorite female character, this topic is about FOX. Not Krystal.

I can't wait for more videos of Fox-Kun! *hugs her Fox plushie* ^^

^ What do you mean by DS?  aren't this about Brawl for Wii?!

Brawl Fox's incarnation is Command Fox with the graphics of the Wii, a few extra gears, and a weird rump. In my opinion, this is the ugliest Fox I've seen for its time. Choosing the DS over the cube because it's newer is a big mistake.

You know... these are only PREVIEW images that could very well (and likely will) change before the final product is released.

Even though I think he looks okay, I think it would be awesome if they changed him a little before they release it...his head it too strange. And his eyes are all glassy and lifeless.

Am I the only one who hated his Assault head the most? Words cannot describe why I think that other than it barely resembles Fox and he wants to bite my arm off.

The look can change a bit, but it doesn't look like they plan to at the moment. Seven months since the first trailer, and the second trailer was last month, and I don't think I saw much of a change there. To me, the changes they'd make to the characters we've already seen would be minor.

I like the picture of Krystal in that suit.

I agree, the new Fox is butt ugly. Pun intended.

I don't know if I even want to play as Fox anymore. And he's my strongest character.

Nope. I hated it too. The only good job they did on that were the eyes, and that's because they made him look like a frigging psyco like they did in Melee. But the rest was awful.

and for those of you who don't like the new design because of his evedent rear, you're just jealous that you don't have girls drooling over your butt. :P-*LYNCHED*What? I'm just kidding...

That's from an in-game trailer. If they were to change how he will look now, they will have to spend a long time on it. They will most likely NOT change it, since they are seemingly sticking with newest incarnations over a more realistic version that is only two years dated. :(

By the way, Melee Fox is the best Fox, in my opinion. Blue eyes are better than green. ^_^

Aiya... Now everyone's ranting 'bout either Fox bein ugly, or Fox's behind is too big, and Fox having green eyes is bad. Great, just great...  O_o First of all, why're ya staring at his *teh buttox* anyway? and it officially had been decided his eyes were green. (Originally his eyes were brown/black, if I remember right) besides, Fox, imho should have green eyes. Nintendo already has 10 different blue-eyed chars. Also... IT'S NOT his SF:C look! ARGH! >_< There are at least 4 or 5 major differences! Why does everyone focus on negative aspects? Argh, it's irritating. >_> Be happy if Nintendo let's Fox keep his voice from Adventures, and 64! Well, sorry for my rant. Just had to get that off my chest.

btw... Krystal doesn't belong in SSB:B... >_> Completely random addition to SF... When I think about it, Fara or Katt, deserve a place in there, as well as Bill, Andross, Wolf, James or... dare I say it... LEON!

actually, Doctor, his eyes were originally blue...I have official Nintendo art to back that up.

They were also blue in Star Fox 2...

Fox is a rebel among heros as he doesn't keep the 'LOL TEH BLUE EYES' look. Plus it has been scientifically prooven that green appears the brightest and most appealing to the human eye. Studies show that at least 50% of people either like green, or like a shade of green.

Yea, he has a nice arse. *fangirl giggle* x3

Why am I looking at his butt you ask? Because they made it the big attraction. :? The camera is aiming there on purpose. Also, it's Brawl Fox, which uses Command Fox's model, with the graphical power of the Wii, a huge disgusting boot, and a few extra gimmicks. Big whoop. Why am I focusing on the negative aspects? Because it's the worst I've seen. If there's anything positive, Adventure, Melee, and Assault is more of a plus. Also, his voice will not be from Assault and 64. That's wishful (and impossible) thinking.

Krystal belongs to the Smash Bros. series more than Katt, Bill, Andross, James, and Leon. Kat, Leon, and Bill are a minor characters. Andross is a face with two arms. How you expect him to play is an enigma to me. James is just as bad as the rest of the cameo. Fara does NOT deserve to be in ANY game, since she has no official existence; a horrible suggestion. Wolf is the only other character to be included in Brawl.

Since you had to get it off your chest directing it at me, I had to give you my thoughts.

Why do I even try? You know, I thought that as Nintendo/Star Fox fans we were beyond the whole "OMG! That game/character suckz 'cuz it has no l33t grafx!!!" I guess I was wrong.

Hey, it's for the fangirls, right?

And James-Sama is not 'just a cameo'. If they did it correctly, he would make a great fighter. And have his own moveset and such. But I can only see him as a trophy, sadly. But that's life.

And plus the design looks great! What are you tlaking about? In Command, Fox looked like he was made of cheese. Now, he looks fuzzy, his forehead is MUCH smaller, and they've managed to combine all of his seperate looks into one. Now all they need to fix are his fingers. Give him claws and pads, like a real fox. Then I will be happy.

I like the add-ons they did with the helmet. *sigh* if only the stupid thing wasn't so hard to draw... :<

I beg to differ, seeing as you read wrong. I clearly stated that the Wii's graphical powers with Command Fox is still ugly.

Shows how much you read... and that's for the flame, regardless of your rank. I have the right to defend myself.

@Chiro-Chan: Well, you're right about James. He's still part of the series, but the closest thing he'll ever get to in Brawl would be a "trophy" or, if lucky, a costume ({darker} Fox with shades). Brawl Fox, though, is very degrading, in my opinion. Command was for the DS, and it was great for a DS model too. In Brawl, his fur is almost non-existing compared to the more recent games (excluding Command) and modifying his head did not change his overall look much. And, as far as I know, none of the other games had to do with Brawl Fox.

I bet to differ, seing as how my point has nothing to do with graphics of the Wii, but graphics in general. My point was that you guys had decided to hate a character based simply on the way they looked regardless of such things that are ultimately more important, such as movesets, gameplay, and fun factor, the things that I thought we had learned to appreciate as Nintendo/Star Fox fans.

A flame requires anger. I have only disappointment.

I just hope they didn't screw up any of his attacks, and make them hopelessly weak. They were fine in SSB64, but then they made the blaster too weak in Melee, but they did fix the ^B attack. I just hope they don't screw him up. :<

Did I say I hated Fox in Brawl because he was based on his Command form? Before you cause further assumptions and misunderstandings, I was disappointed in his Brawl form. From something that could be much better, they had to make his head look like it was flattened. Again, I don't hate Fox. I'm disappointed by his new look.

You are also, from what I see, making assumptions that the movesets and gameplay are going to get better. Sakurai said there won't be any clones. So his moveset will be very similar to Smash and Melee attacks (which are good), but every other characters will not have a similar one (also good). The gameplay is going downhill from what I've seen and experienced. Fun factor is going the same direction as gameplay, since they share a mutual relationship. By the way, Fox has a high chance of being nerfed, for the better or for the worse.

With those and the new Fox look, I see nothing extraordinarily wonderous and positive in Brawl compared to that of Melee other than new characters and original movesets, but they were obviously going to show up anyway. Also, graphics make up half the game. Saying that the looks of Fox is not important is very untrue. If it's not important, we might as well have wireframes with different attacks. We should get a cross to battle X's in Star Fox instead of Arwings and the enemy fighters. Your points? Invalid.

A flame does not require anger. As long as it offends someone on purpose (direction), it's a flame. If you do not believe that, then you started a flamebait that I didn't fall for.
