That is especially important information in a parking lot. I feel this so much. I work at a mall and it sucks especially on busy days when you're trying to find a space and the lights come up but it's someone trying to find their car. I'm trying to remember if my old Chevy Tahoe put the full lights on or just the turn signals. Also. 6 hours ago, DZComposer said: Ford Fiesta What year mang and is it an ST? DZComposer
It's a 2014. I was thinking about the ST, but they had a Titanium on the lot for a very good price.

Harmony Descent
I currently drive an '07 green Nissan Altima, but there is a particular car that I'd love to have. The '64 El Camino or The '72 El Camino Suckers are TERRIBLE on gas - I saw once that they can go from 23-25 mpg - but I can only dreeeeaaaaammm!

CrypticQuery
Here's a fun article that came up. Apparently each car in Zootopia was specifically designed with some sort of rhyme and reason. I'm looking forward to seeing the film this weekend. http://jalopnik.com/how-disney-s-zootopia-got-its-cars-from-legendary-car-d-1762567392

unoservix
new car mofos 2010 Nissan Sentra SL, ~73,000 miles, got it for ~$10k out the door after some bullshit. it has bluetooth and ipod integration and fog lamps and faux-wood finish and a folding rear bench and CVT and most importantly, this mysterious device that allows you to change the climate inside the vehicle at will, i think it's called an air conditioning and anyway as far as i'm concerned it's pretty much miraculous. it was this, a 2013 Chevy Sonic LS, or a 2013 Hyundai Accent. anyway NEW CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR

That's a solid, low mile example of something that should last you a very long time, and it sounds like you're happy with the trim. As long as the CVT isn't total shit, you'll be in good shape. Congrats! As far as updates from me, looks like I'll be receiving that 2000-2001 Accord EX as a hand me down from my dad. Besides the pretty ugly gold color and having hubcaps on steelies, it should be a solid vehicle, with only ~160k on it. As long as the tranny doesn't blow up I'll be ballin in style until I can afford something better. It does, however, need a new radio (no aux jack kill me), new power mirror motors (held with duct tape rn), some detailing (mass paint chips on passenger side and pretty dusty on the inside), and probably new allweathers for the winter. unoservix
also, public service announcement: if you're in the market for a 2006-2009 Civic, don't be. there's an engine block defect on some of them that will cause the block to crack. my father found this out the hard way, but he got lucky because Honda put out an extended warranty to replace the engine block, and there were still three months on it when it happened, so he got a brand new engine block free of charge. that warranty has long since expired so if it happens to you now welcome to Problemtopia, Population: You. 11 hours ago, LoneWolf said: That's definitely sounding like a good choice, the Sonic is hot garbage and I'm still skeptical of Hyundai's reliability. Congrats! thanks! there was nothing concerning in the Carfax, no recalls that i could see anywhere, and although it's only been a couple days i haven't really noticed anything worrisome. i liked the Sonic's styling better, and the Accent seemed like just a stripped down version of the Sentra. so this thing should hold its value better. CrypticQuery
Congrats, Uno! You picked the best of the three choices IMO, with the Hyundai coming second (the 100,000 mile / 10 year powertrain warranty speaks to how much better they have gotten over the years). Keep an eye out on the Takata airbag recalls, Lonewolf - that may be one of the model years affected, but I don't remember for sure. Steelies are sort of dodgy looking by themselves, but pair them with a center cap of some sort and you have pure badassery. Example below.
unoservix
no sweet warranty on this Hyundai, unfortunately, it was used with ~72,000 miles and being sold by a Ford dealership. but yeah brand new Hyundais come with awesome warranties. and my dad rented a Sonata hybrid for a week or so a couple years ago and loved it.
CrypticQuery
It's a shame that all of the Hyundais in my price range originate from their shitty era, but I am glad to hear that their improvements have been noted. --- On a note tying back into my earlier Zootopia post, I've discovered more concept art from the film that looks wonderful in terms of its automotive design. More of J Mays' work is shown off here, along with the corresponding sketches to go along with it. And from what I presume to be an earlier conceptual piece, the cars had a more classic aesthetic to them. The car at the bottom looks like its based off of an early 60s Ford Galaxie convertible to me. The sidecar motorcycle is always a nice touch.

Definitely catching that Galaxie vibe - they had one hell of a design, even if they were boats. This modified Galaxie gets me every time: Spoiler Also, bungee corded a file box onto my current daily driver today, needed a little more utility/storage space. Aesthetic vaporwave/retro game stickers have arrived, should be applying those shortly:

CrypticQuery
I went out to take a look at this '06 Grand Marquis recently. The independent used car lot seller was asking $4800. He didn't think it was necessary to mention that nearly the entire undercarriage of the vehicle was rotted out as a result of New England winters, however. I did end up making a generalized used car inspection checklist though. If you'd like to peruse/improve it, be my guest. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B62-DiJkyiieLTBUbTBTWkNiY2s/view?usp=sharing

Preferably RWD, but it needs a column shifter at the very least. The Crown Vic/Grand Marquis are some of the only 'modern' cars that fit that bill, and while I am also open to older Buicks (think the Park Avenue or LeSabre), I prefer the aforementioned panther platform cars. I've avoided the past two generations of Chevrolet Impala due to their horrendous track record in terms of reliability. As compared to the previously mentioned models, they were trainwrecks. If I didn't live in the rust belt, you can bet that I'd be driving something from the 70s or 80s though!
