"I'm sure it did at some point." she answered Bohdan, "But it most likely hasn't for years. I can't see very well laying flat on a table, but it looks from here like it's been through the ringer. I'm not sure what you can find from it."

"We have to find Aiolius." Zefran's eyes were almost pleading.

Aura looked into them and found it hard to disappoint them. "I know." she sighed, "You all have your reasons to, I'm sure. You're best shot is to go through Renard's father. He's a good man and has been a great help to us."

"No one can resist those puppy-dog eyes, Zef." Antoine snickered.

"Hrm?" Tiger looked to Laika when she asked him, and he rubbed his jaw where he had been decked. "Doing better." He said, "A cooling pad helped, I'm waiting for my watch to end before I get on the Sanctuary Tiger, and use a dermal regenerator to finish up the rest." He then looked thoughtful for a moment, "Hey, about the things I said back there out of anger...  I'm sorry."

Upon hearing this new information, Bohdan went to Renard, slightly limping, but nevertheless towering over all, excluding Pawel, who was a mere inch shorter than his cousin.

"Renard, where should we go to find your father's trail?" asked the giant dragon.

"Upon besting him, my Brother said He ran into my Father on Titania. Now and again, My Father goes to other worlds to replenish his supplies. He probably went to look for a whetstone for his sword. the Sandstone on Titania is so dense and finely grained that it keeps Starseed weapons like our razor sharp and aetherically conductive. That means he probably visited an abandoned, or near-abandoned mining town."

Renard Crossed his arms. " If we don't run into him there, chances are I can at least find a clue."

He sniffed the air, catching blood. "Oh captain! you're hurt!.. I can patch you up if you like, or at least cauterize it."

Zefran blushed, frowning in embarrassment at Antoine's remark. "Hey, so what do we do about Aura?" he asked, "We can't just leave her tied up on the table, can we?"

"I can't say I blame them." Aura shrugged as best as she could under restraints, "I did kind of try to take matters into my own hands back there."

----

Laika felt a twinge of guilt upon hearing his apology. "No, I'm sorry." she sighed, "I'm a grown woman. I should know better than to fly off the handle like that. Turns out you were right on the money anyways. I did some digging after I left, and they're as corrupt as you and everyone else says. If anyone should have been decked, it should have been me." she held out a hand to him, "Can we start over?"

Tiger looked her in the eyes as she said this, he knew the subtle ways in which a person was telling the truth or not.  This only worked as long as he could get a good look at the eyes and the body language though.  He then shook her hand with his right one. "Yes, that still doesn't change the fact that though I was right, the way I said it wasn't right." He replied to her request, getting the feeling she wasn't corrupt after all. "Still, I'm not one to hold a grudge normally.  So, let's get this off on the right foot.  My name is Tiger Carson, leader of Star Tiger.  Yours?"

"Ah..." uttered Bohdan, raising up his hand. His, Pawel's, and Sandor's medallions began glowing inadvertently, in response to the energies given off by Renard. "I will be fine, Renard, thank you." Pawel eyed the 'Magic Man' with curiosity. Bohdan moved to Aura's side, while Pawel stayed back, and Sandor walked to Renard.

"So..." started Sandor, listening to Renard's explanation of his father's whereabouts. "Why do you want to find your father, Renard?"

"If I remove these restraints, will you help us find the way to Aiolius, and not cause us trouble?" inquired Bohdan to Aura.

" To be honest, i just wanted to beat him senseless for some form of revenge.. but something my brother said has gotten inside my head, and not because he electrocuted me shortly after."

" A long time ago.. a few years after my youngest brother was born, My mother took ill. That in itself was odd, because the fey don't often get sick. My father and mother went on a journey to cure her when I was eight." He crossed his arms and pinned his ears back.

" I am 22 now." He said, Trying to hide the edge in his voice.

"Four years ago on a quest, I heard rumors of the Legendary Blossomknight, the Wildman of Idania. What's more... he was traveling alone, no woman at his side. I have been hot on his heels ever since."

" I wanted revenge...." He looked down at the ground. " Now, I just want answers."

"Let me just give you fair warning," Sandor said. "Vengeance is disappointing and fleeting. Answers will give you more questions." This was one of the rare moments Sandor actually dispensed wisdom in any capacity.

Roy decided to take a quick nap, leaning back in the chair, his eyes closed. He began to snore softly, his arms limp as they hung lazily from his sides. Jacob, too, was falling under the sleeping spell, as Roy's soothing snores brought the rhinoceros deeper and deeper into a slumber. Jacob then, finally, took off his glasses, put them in his shirt pocket, and leaned back on his chair, closing his eyes and napping, in a mostly similar way that Roy slept, except Jacob kept his arms and hands folded together on his stomach.

Ignored, how irritating, then again she may have simply picked a bad time for that. Not that knowing that would make the cerinian any less bitter, luckily the 'magic man' provided her with the prefect excuse to go blow off steam in the ship's shooting gallery.

"Titania... wonderful." She glowered, before squeezing by the few around Aura's bed. "I should go prepare."

She barely even cared what Bohdan was implying, it was his ship and his call to make anyway. "If I'm needed, I'll be at the shooting range."

With that, Shepherd made her way out the infirmary, picked up the rucksack she'd left against the wall and made a quick pace for the elevator.

Renard shook his head.. he felt uncomfortable and needed to clear his own head. " I await our departure..." He sighed as he stepped aside and walked behind Shepard on her way out.

Not bothering to check who the owner of the footsteps behind her was, Shepherd entered the elevator. As she went to press the button for the, it occurred to her, that she hadn't been paying attention to her rucksack and that nut job was running around the hallway.

In a panic the cerinian swung her bag from over her shoulder to make sure nothing was missing. She stuck a foot in front of the doors in case she needed go back to the infirmary to inflict justice.

Simo observed everyone in the room, preferring to keep his mouth shut.

"I don't appear to have any other choice." She raised a brow at Bohdan, "Sitka will do everything in his power to find me, and since you won't take me back, you'll deal with him soon enough. You don't need me causing trouble on top of that."

----

"Laika Sergievsky." She giggled, "Former police officer here on Macbeth. It's nice to meet you." She shook her head, "Look, Tiger, I understand your predicament. You're backed by the CDF, so you don't have the luxury of naming your own terms, who you can relay information to. I'm no longer an official of this planet, but I do still have questions. I have friends involved in this conflict. So I'm asking you as my own agent with no one to answer to. What is going on with that guy on the table?"

Bohdan grumbled. He shook his head quickly, seemingly to shake off something.

"Then we will meet him on Titania," he said. "Korben, tell the bridge to set a course to Titania." Korben nodded, and left, stealing a glance of Aura.

~

Korben walked down the corridor and entered the elevator at the end, where he selected the bridge as his destination. The elevator gave off a soft whir as it lifted Korben up to the bridge. The elevator spat him out on the bridge, and Korben approached two of his snoozing associates. He kicked both of their chairs' bases, waking them up rather effectively.

"Titania," said Korben. Roy rubbed his eyes.

"What..." he said ,groggy.

"We are going to Titania?" Jacob asked, fixing his glasses.

"Yes," answered Korben. Jacob nodded, and punched in the coordinates to Titania. The ship appropriately changed course.

Renard snapped back to attention, remembering his manners and beginning to release Aura's restraints.

She wouldn't cause trouble so he felt it worth it to help her.

" Come along Aura, I'll take ya to the mess hall and make you something to eat. I imagine you're hungry.. or at least slightly parched from your ordeal."

Finding nothing missing in her bag, Shepherd shifted the thing over her shoulder once again, moved her foot away from obstructing the door and pressed the button for the fourth floor. Once she arrived she exited the elevator made for the shooting gallery.

As Bohdan reached to remove the restraints, Renard already had done the task. He looked at Renard briefly before turning his head to stare blankly into space, albeit with a frustrated demeanor bubbling inside him, like one would see from a television character looking into the camera after a perplexing scene. Bohdan shrugged his shoulders. However, Korben grabbed onto one of Bohdan's wings as the latter attempted to leave.

"Stay," said Korben. "For observation." Bohdan groaned.

"I am fine, Korben," said Bohdan. Korben, however, directed him to an unoccupied bed.

"Sit," said Korben, who began taking scans of Bohdan. Bohdan shook his head.

"Umm..." uttered Pawel, walking out of the door. "I'm gonna get something to eat."

"The mess hall is down the corridor to the right," said Bohdan, making a gesture to the door. Pawel nodded, and left the infirmary.

Once she felt the weight of the restraints lifted, Aura sat up slowly and stretched her wings.

"Thank you," she smiled at Renard, "I am a little hungry."

Hopping off the bed, she took a moment for her bearings to catch up with her.

"Mind if I join you?" Zefran asked Renard.

Renard smiled at Zefran. " Of course! I'd actually relish the chance to talk with you, as well. Just because we all have our own reasons doesn't mean we can't be friends."

He motioned them to follow him as he turned down the corridor.

Pawel popped his head back inside the infirmary, wondering where his other comrades in dining were at.

"Come on, kiddos!" said Pawel encouragingly. "That food won't eat itself." He then left their presence once again. Walking into the mess hall some moments later, Pawel went to the cupboards, but was rather dissatisfied with the Szabla's stock of food.

"It's all frigging canned..." he lamented. Pawel closed one of the cabinets, and opened an adjacent one. Yet again were stores of canned food: beans, meat, vegetables, even bread. He was dumbfounded especially by the bread. "How in God's name can you can bread?!" Pawel slammed the cabinet shut, and went to one of the freezers. He saw, glistening in the brilliant ice, rows upon rows of frozen meats: steaks, chickens, pork, even venison. Pawel grinned. "It's not cannibalism if you're not from the Lylat System," he said. He took out some of the venison meat and placed it on a counter by a stove. He opened a cupboard below the counter and pulled out a pan. Pawel placed the pan on the stove, and the venison on it. He cracked his neck joints as he breathed in deeply and let loose his fire breath, albeit only momentarily. The heat given off by his breath almost instantly thawed one side of the venison. Pawel repeated the process on the other side. Then, he threw out a more prolonged breath, cooking the venison steak medium rare, his favored choice. Once again, Pawel did it to the other side.

In the span of less than a minute, Pawel had a fully cooked venison steak before him, and he intended to devour all of it. However, he was not averse to the idea of sharing some of this beautiful meat. He placed it on a large plate, and took a fork and knife from a drying rack. Pawel walked over to one of the many vacant tables in the mess hall and sat down to eat.

Tiger let out a sigh, she was going to persist, but at least Laika wasn't part of the police anymore. "You know what he is." Tiger said to her, "I can't explain in greater detail here.  The walls have ears as they say, but I can do so elsewhere, like the Sanctuary Tiger or my Arwing." He knew the expression she'd give him, and added, "It can adjust to be a two seater, cramped, but it can be done.  The point is, I'll explain in greater detail elsewhere.  Right now, that guy is part of a big mystery.  He's connected to a big pot of gold as it were, being like a Leprechaun." He tried being cryptic, but just obvious enough to give her answers without any unwanted third parties understanding if they overheard. "If the sayings are true, it's important he be in our custody, so no one with Andross-like intentions get their hands on him and the Leprechaun's pot of gold.  That's the mission, basically."

"Any new information?"

"None sir"

"Keep searching. We need to find who or what caused that gateway to open."

"Aye sir"

Ren searched into his own satchel as he entered the kitchen the katheeri presumably in tow and sitting out in the dining area proper., pulling out a few fruits and potatoes that seemed to be encased in some kind of crystal.

" Preservation where i come from." he stated to no one in particular, cracking them open with the back of his sword, letting their sweet scents fill the air.

He Produced a head of frozen lettuce, a can of a vegetable medley,  and a few Frozen slabs of meat he recognized as Auroch steaks ( Or at least something akin to them.) as well as a small bag of rice.

He started chopping the fruits, lettuce and potatoes with a Ice knife he created with some water from a nearby bottle,  His free hand turning on the burners and the oven as well as setting up a few pots and pans.

"Sure I can use magic.. but lazy cooking is only for when you're starving." He said to the others

The steaks and chopped potatoes were seasoned and slid into the oven, the rice entered the boiling water, and the veggies entering a buttered pan.

It took a good 15 minutes ( He was cooking with high heat.)  but he'd come by with three plates of a decent meal.

" here ya go, you two, Seared Auroch steak, A Rice pilaf, topped with some Cruxian Starfruit mash, peppered Rose potatoes, roasted. Aaand a simple salad topped with some blueberry vinigrette." He said rather proudly. " Totally worth the use of my last provisions."

He set the plates infront of Aura and Zefran, Beaming.

When she reached the door to the shooting gallery, she found it locked. It did cross her mind to attempt to use the palm and iris readers on the door, not that she thought it do any thing, but maybe she'd set off an alert at the bridge and someone up there could open it.

They probably wouldn't appreciate that however.

With an audible sigh, Shepherd banged a fist on the door twice. Hopefully somebody was inside and could let her in, or the vixen might have to go with her first idea.
