"...And these he very living creatures that they are. A collection of hopes, dreams, and aspirations, and connections often small, sometimes overlooked, but still magnificent in their own way. And we begin to see the worlds as they are with us in them. The the prospects, triumphs, tribulations, and imperfections set forth were merely blood in the bodies of these beautiful living creatures. The makings of these individuals, the collection of these lives..."

I wanna take a slightly different approach to this RPing thing. This was incepted during an exercise between myself and Synolo when I asked him to give me a day in the life of one of his characters, and I turned around and did the same with one of my characters. We then had the great idea to turn the exercise into sort of an RP that chronicled the daily lives of an ensemble of characters, on a completely individual basis in real time--in that the characters do not directly interact for the majority of the RP. Rather than basing it on actions that immediately affect the other, this would be a manifesto of characters to illustrate the obvious differences, and yet subtle and magnificent similarities between them.

To make up for the lack of direct interaction between the characters, the RP will be structured in chapters where we follow a set theme. The themes will be specific enough to express the goal we are to reach each chapter, yet generic and open-ended enough to give us the freedom to write about our characters.

What I want to stress though is that although our characters are living in the same world or universe,  their actions and lifestyles are not meant to take center stage over other characters. For example one character might be a suburban housewife soccer mom, while another may be a soldier fighting a war; there can be a news report about the war for the soccer mom to see, and the solder could have dialogue about how stuff like suburban housewives are what he is out to protect, but we aren't trying to crash-land in eachothers' stories and take away eachothers opportunity to tell about our characters lives. Another thing I want to point out is that our characters are set to meet each other towards the later parts of the RP, where they will finally directly interact to get to know each other in sort of an interview where they tell who they are as individuals.

There is absolutely no stipulation as to what character can be used, nor is there any bar as to what story about your character can be told. But what I recommend (though not required) is that you use a new character or a character that you have not developed or established in any other RPs. This way, I am hoping that we can flesh out new characters and write something completely new. But again, it's not required, and it is fine if you want to use an already established character and want to give a different look into their life. One thing though: one main character per RPer. I want to streamline this as much as possible.

Goal: To chronicle the lives of our characters to exhibit their obvious differences and bring them together by highliting the subtle similarities

Player Count: 3 to 10 players

This be some good RP science. And I'm just curious on how this will flow.

I'll try it out.
