Kal
Today, is November 11th. A day we call "Veteran's Day." A day set aside to honor those who served in the wars of today and yesterday. A day of remembrance, a day of dignity. Today is especially important to me. Why is that? It may be the army in my blood. Both grandfathers served in WW2, every man on my dad's half served in the army some time, and at least two close relatives are colonels, one of which works in the Pentagon (for the record, he was out of his office when it was attacked on 9/11). Both my dad and brother have given a year in Iraq, potentially two. And my other brother is a Westpoint cadet. And to these brave men and women and others whom we remember today, I offer what little I can to thank and honor them all. *salutes* ...Wow, that was a little more sobering than I thought it'd be. In other news, I turn 19 at 9:00 tonight. Go me. *dances*

Mr. Krystal
My grandfather was a Seabee, construction platoon, or something like that. I don't remember what war he fought in, though. Happy b-day!
TakeWalker
And yet, this is only pertinent to people in America. Ignoring Remembrance Day in Canada and the UK, of course.

TakeWalker
I have the excuse of ignorance. What dates do those occur on? The same as Vet's Day here, according to my calendar. I thought that was implied. o.O
